The restaurant "Au Coin Berbère" offer to you a fine cuisine of North Africa and more particularly Berber traditional dishes. The restaurant is located in Montreal, Duluth street. Salads, couscous, baklavas stuffed dates, such are the specialties "Au Coin Berbère".
The well known Couscous is declined in different versions, the traditional couscous with lamb, the couscous with rabbit of Quebec, specialty of the restaurant, the couscous with chicken and merguez sausage.
The Algerian couscous is the one which corresponds best to the taste of North American and European people, indeed it is, delicately spiced and brings out the taste of vegetables and the delicate flavor of the semolina and the virgin olive oil.

Review is a little skewed because of a neighborhood wide power outage that occurred mid meal. Despite that the staff responded by providing candles so we could at least make out our food and what we were eating . The staff were able to serve us our entire order as they use gas in the kitchen and it was of great quality and excellent taste! Must try the cumin olives as an appetizer. We absolutely loved the unique flavor imparted by the cumin and will be trying to replicate it at home :)

Great little place on Duluth. We particularly appreciated the family feel of the restaurant and the food was excellent. The flaky chicken pastry was delicious and the tagine was excellent, with a really generous portion of fluffy couscous.

The service was very hospitable and we were made to very welcome. The decor is relaxing and nice. The food was very good. The home made bread was exceptional.

We ordered eggplant caviar, bulghur wheat chorba, chick pea with cumin and vegetable couscous. The eggplant caviar was devoid of the rich flavor of eggplant. The soup was good, as were the chickpeas with cumin. The vegetable couscous was ok. There was one person serving several tables. He was attentive.

Basic menu and food. Not representative of the North African rich variety of dishes. The only thing that was really tasty was the bread but you have to pay for it. Weir’d. The only waiter is overwhelmed. Overall quite disappointing.
