Brunch was OK, nothing fantastic. Omelette was fine, but nothing special. They could have given some side dish like potatoes, and my side salad was soggy. I can't say it was a great brunch but not horrible. The place itself was nice and good atmosphere and lots of TVs if that's what you want. Nice people and affordable but this is not an haute cuisine brunch LOL
We had a reservation for 7:15 pm. A few members of the party arrived easily, were seated and ordered a grilled cheese for their children. By 7:50 pm, it was still not there. We had to go look for the waiter multiple times. At 8:01, he finally came and said he’d go find out where the food was and we asked him to come right back. At 8:05 he came with the food. This was GRILLED CHEESE which takes 5 minutes to make. So he then takes our order. At 8:42, still no food. From 7:15-8:42 he came over once to see if anyone needed a drink. At 8:42, we flagged down another waitress who says she’d look into it. Good came about 10 minutes later. Keep in mind- we ordered pretty basic items. Food was decent but certainly not for waiting close to an hour for it. They gave us a $15 credit and took off one drink from the bill.
To sum it up- food decent but not fabulous, service- absolutely horrible. We finally left at 9:45.
Love the new menu as so many more options that I like!
The wings were amazing.
Great diverse food menu. Many different drink options. TVs to watch sports as well!
All dishes were delicious and the server was super attentive and very pleasant. Nice spot to come for a lunch during the day or after work happy hour.
Came here for late lunch. The $13 lunch special is awesome. Spoke with the bartender about an upcoming Grilled Cheese event and a Mardi Gras party. Definitely want to check them out. Food, drinks and service were all good! Will be back for sure!
Great food, great service, a bit on the expensive side but not outrageously so.
Service at table was so slow. Waitress was frequently seen chatting with other works behind the bar. She left for extended periods of time. She was also rude, very short when I asked what type of beers they have.
Most unimpressed with this place...we wanted avocado toast without cilantro and they couldn't accommodate us. I ordered egg white with veggies and got something TOTALLY different...I sent it back!
Made a reservation here after purchasing a Pulsd voucher for brunch. We were seated and had our orders taken quickly. The voucher states the bottomless brunch includes both regular and spicy margaritas, but the waitress changed her mind after initially coming over and said it's mimosas, bloody marys, sangria, and draught beer only (the last of which isn't on the voucher). This ended up being fine as she served champagne instead of mimosas for my friend who doesn't like juice, but still would have liked to get a margarita.
Ordered an omelette for myself, an egg BLT for my friend, and truffle parmesan fries to split. The food came out fast, was presented nicely, and was delicious. There were definitely a few other items on the menu I would have liked to try.
After a pretty decent experience we were ending the near of our time for the bottomless but could not get a staff member over to take our final order and bring the check. 20 minutes later (after our 90) we asked for one more and the check, was told yes and then had someone come over and say our hour and a half was over so we'd have to buy another. Okay, fair enough - we didn't want to so we said no. 20 minutes later still no check. I understand the need to follow policies but we waited way too long just to get a bill and leave.
Absolute best bar in Midtown. Amazing service and some of the best food. Great to watch football as well.
Was there to watch college football with alumni. Great fun.
Poor service, good food. Weird portions.
This place is great. The decor is really lovely, the upscale hangout I've already wanted, but not too over the top. Everything was delicious. My husband and I got the blue crab Benedict, mac & cheese and the farm egg and waffle sandwich. FYI.. Which is the greatest sandwich ever!!
I found Atwood in an article about the best fries in NYC (Atwood does indeed have DELICIOUS Belgium fries!) but I was very disappointed with the restaurant overall. The evening that I went, the AC was broken; on a hot summer day in mid-July, this was very unpleasant. In addition, we had very poor/slow service, and the volume was so loud (even in the back room away from the bar). I will not be returning to Atwood.
Love the way the place looks, cozy, dimly lit, lots of wood. Macaroni and cheese did not disappoint and avocado toast was filling. Nice neighborhood retreat.
Avocado toast was delicious, as was the blue crab benedict. Can't beat the brunch deal with unlimited brunch cocktails. Our waitress was attentive and pleasant. Would recommend to friends, and would happily go again if in the neighborhood!
FIRST TRY AND WON'T BE THE LAST!!.. Great place.. we had Brunch it was fabulous!!
Stopped in for brunch last Sunday and enjoyed it very much! Loved the blueberry waffles, very light and crispy. The Eggs Benedict was good, too. We liked the relaxed vibe. Anxious to try the dinner menu!
Great casual place to grab a beer and a burger after work with friends
The food and drinks were great, between 4 girls we shared the meatballs, burrata, fries, and Bacon Mac & Cheese. Only issue was the service, they appeared understaffed. When we walked in there wasn't a hostess and the bar area was pretty quiet (we did an 8:30 dinner on a Saturday). We kind of wandered from the front of the bar to the back then asked the bartender how we get seated for a reservation. He said there's a hostess somewhere around but we never saw her, we wound up just seating ourselves. Then a girl appeared who seemed to be bartending, waitressing, and hostessing. She was doing her best and considering the dining area was pretty busy she did quite well. It's a great little place to start the night but they really need to step up the service and just hire some more staff.
The food was great! I had the cavatelli, I'm still thinking about it! I went on a Thursday after work. It does get loud in the bar area around 7pm. Even if you're in the adorable back room, it will get pretty loud. It that bothers you, it's pretty calm earlier in the evening. I will definitely go back!
Fabulous!! $40 brunch entree with unlimited mimosas or bloodies is a great deal!
Nice people . Relaxed !
Reasonable prices, great food, great service. We shared several appetizers - seared tuna tacos, veal meatballs, roasted Brussels sprouts, salmon tartar with smashed avacodo. Everything was delicious!
What a great brunch. Loved the waffle sandwich and the mac and cheese was fantastic.
Love this place! It's casual yet the food is top notch. A great neighborhood place!
Went at 6:30pm on a Wednesday for dinner with 5 other people. Food was delicious but service was a bit slow and it was very loud. I went with a group which was difficult with the noise but will definitely come back with a smaller group
Horrible, horrible service. I've never dealt with a snobbier set of host/waitstaff. The hostess was blatantly rude and I sat without water for about half of my meal. The restaurant was well decorated, but extremely loud. An overall disappointment.
Brunch place ! Awesome brunch! Crab Benedict is amazing !!
Didn't have half the beers on the list. Appetizers are quite expensive for what they are.
Atwood's inventive food is a real treat. You have to give it a try!!
Really enjoyed Atwood - went for brunch - there was a nice selection on the menu, and all dishes - especially the mac and cheese (!) - were delicious! Staff was the good kind of attentive - and the coffee was delicious. A bit pricey, but I think not unusually for NY.
Ambience was pleasant, not too loud or crowded. Would recommend and go back.
I highly recommend a visit to Atwood. You wont be dissapointed
Brunch is great! Potatoes are amazing and the other dishes are wonderful.
I was unimpressed with the food. The welcome was fine. Server was OK, nothing special. But I didn't enjoy the meal. The salad was like something you'd get at Denny's. Maybe a thimbleful of dressing on it. I asked for some more on the side, and then was glad there was so little on the salad to begin with. Really didn't like the dressing. Just didn't have a good taste. And I ordered the chicken wings. The portion was only 6 wings. Heavy on fatty skin, light on meat. I asked my server if they were spicy. He assured me they were not. They were.
First time eating dinner there tonight There was no one at the door to greet us. The bartender behind the bar welcomed us and eventually someone came over to greet us Food was good but service was poor. After we were finished eating no one ever came over to see if we wanted to order dessert. My husband had to get up and ask someone to give us the check. It was definitely like we were forgotten.
Everything was very tasty. We were seated in the dining room but the vibe feels better for a cozy date night at the bar with some shared plates. Mac'n'cheese and wings were delicious.
Great brunch experience. Very fair deal for bottomless brunch drinks. Excellent service. The waffle sandwich is really amazing as well.
