Amazing food that is full of surprises! You will not regret it!
The restaurant is gorgeous. Servers and hosts and the cocktail manager who we met were all so wonderfully friendly and incredibly knowledgeable. The food was amazing! We never have dessert and we couldn’t resist. So so good all around
Good new place in Los Feliz, but come on guys. It’s 2019. Have a veggie and vegan option. They were sort of accommodating, because of Open Table they knew I was vegan, even though the menu says no substitutions they were able to take off something, but the choices were beyond limited if you have any type of dietary restrictions. That would probably stop me from eating there again, but I’d definitely have drinks and the staff was nice.
My husband and I came for our anniversary. The staff was super attentive. The food was excellent and they brought me a small plant for us take home for our anniversary. Loved it!
Very overpriced but food was good and the restaurant itself is beautiful.
Maybe the most disorganized brunch experience I've ever had? I requested a table inside, but the hostess tried to seat us outside (on a cold New Year's Day), and when I explained that I had in fact asked for something inside, she kinda rolled her eyes and suggested that there would be a wait. I said, "We can wait, how long?" She turned back to her iPad, then picked up some menus and said "Follow me," so we were seated immediately. Uh, ok?
The dining room is mostly empty, a few groups of 3-4-5 people and maybe one other couple. We quickly realize that there's only one server for these folks, which is probably why the hostess tried to get us to stay outside, but I admit that I didn't have any sympathy -- I made the reservation, it's not my fault the restaurant didn't staff accordingly. As we were walking in, a frazzled-looking guy was also walking in, and he wound up being our server. He was probably called in at the last minute, because he was not prepared. He took his time making himself some tea and chatting with the kitchen staff before coming over to take drink orders (we waited at least fifteen minutes), and then he didn't explain anything about the menu whatsoever. The food is meant to be shared, but the actual menu is kinda laid out as if it's more of a single-plate/non-shared kind of thing, so we ordered in completely the wrong way. The food came out sporadically, not all at once like we assumed it would. We would have approached the menu differently had we known how things were gonna play out. A bunch of other really annoying things happened—coffee took forever, but that's because there's apparently no drip option, just Americano? Another thing that I would have appreciated knowing up top—and the food, while totally fine, wasn't nearly good enough to improve my sour mood. It's a beautiful space and the neighborhood could use a place like this, but jeez. It's not rocket science, it's brunch.
New Year’s Eve. Didn’t realize restaurant was closing before midnight so the experience felt rushed. It was also very cold inside with the door constantly left open on a cold night.
Delicious food in a beautiful space. On the more expensive end, but a lovely meal out with friends.
like kettle black and sawyer, the food at atrium is incredibly mediocre, but the ambiance is lovely. come for a drink, but get dinner elsewhere.
This was one of the best meals we have had in a long time. Amazing creativity.
You may be able to tell that this is not my first time at Atrium in Los Feliz -- it won't be my last, either!! I wanted a special dinner for my birthday (OK, the day before: Shhhh!) with my date. I was not looking to impress, but to sample as much of the menu as possible (and have some leftover for the New Year holiday!). I was not disappointed!
We couldn't decide which appetizers, so.... we got several! (No particular order):
I had been here before and knew that this is a plate that comes with happiness and intrigue. Kimchi butter? Outrageously balanced!
Crudites was a combination of freshness and daring-do. Some creative pickling of beautiful vegetables highlighted the raw with a foamy, rich, burrata to enhance the well-paired flavors on the plate. The Baja Prawns were large and tender in a sauce of complex, palate-pleasing accompaniment. A star dish if ever there was one! The Hamachi Crudo allowed us to savor delicate flavors in a beautiful presentation. Great contrast! And lastly (for appetizers), the fingerling potatoes! I had read about these tangy tubers, but there is no description other than delicious! Beautiful blending of sweet/salt/tangy comes together as dusting love itself on a bite-sized potato!
My guest ordered the Passion Fruit sorbet (probably because Passion Fruit has never been a favorite of mine.... until now!). Beautiful with creamy flavor that made me rethink my Passion Fruit-less existence until this dish. The milk chocolate dessert is a ganache(?) with a generous dusting of mint moss and topped with a variety of morsels (including crunchy meringues). OMG! I feared its sweetness would know me out, but it was so delicately sweet that the rich chocolate was the principle player accented by flavor characters that only deepened the experience. Finally, a blueberry/pomegranate sorbet cleansed our palates and our souls in a forgiving cup of rich flavors.
Second time in and loved all over again. We would love to experience the dinner service soon.
The food preparation quality is mediocre. None of the dishes we ordered really stood out for their taste, flavors, or presentation
Came for brunch. Loved the space. Food was great. Service needs improvement. The server looked and acted annoyed the whole time, begrudgingly gave recommendations, and walked away haughtily when we asked for more coffee. Not someone you’d want to start the morning with.
Came for Brunch. The food was really good- very creative, but not just for creativity's sake. The indoor space is open and beautiful, with lovely green couch-booths. Our group of 5 got a bunch of dishes and shared which was perfect. When we made our reservation, I had mentioned we were celebrating a birthday and they brought out a lovely little succulent plant gift, and a candle for the birthday girl. So sweet & creative! Would definitely go back.
We went to this restaurant at the suggestion of a friend and we were not disappointed! The food was unique and full of amazing small dishes to share; ending with a 37 ounce steak! OMG! Our only complaints would be that the wine list was slightly limited and the lighting a bit bright.
Great friendly service. All the dishes ordered were dilish! Definitely a recommended place to check for yourself.
Food was very good, pricey but good. Service on point but the GM Cameron and the hostess were absolutely rude. Cameron came up to our table out of the blue and blurted out that we had 10 minutes and then had to leave as they needed the table for someone else. We hadn’t even received our check yet and were still enjoying a bottle of wine! Very rude and uncalled for. In no way were we notified when we were seated that there would be a time limit and when were we’re leaving after spending an obscene amount of money the hostess gave us the dirtiest look, no thank you at all.
The nail in the coffin was as we were exiting there were several empty tables. Unacceptable! They lost themselves good paying customers. A shame because the food was outstanding.
We will not be returning.
Initially the service was good. Then a large party came and we never saw our server again unless i asked for him. Also the large party was so loud you could not hear your own thoughts much less enjoy the overly sauced food. Asked to be moved and it was definitely a sad excuse for any attempt to be helped with. The only decent thing would be the drinks and what would have possibly been dessert if it weren’t such a poor execution of the evening by the circumstances in which we left after our entrees were done.
Love this place I highly recommend it. The Ribeye steak plate was so tender it melted in my mouth
Great neighborhood spot! Low key and great ambiance! Food is innovative and flavorful! Birthday surprise is a unique and thoughtful!
Only flaw was our waitress didn't let us know that she was done with her shift and someone else would be taking care of us for the remainder of the Dinner/evening.
Terrible, rude hostess. Food was ok. Good ambiance.
Phenomenal food, beautiful location, amazing drinks.
Granted we arrived an hour early for our 9 pm reservation, but there were plenty of available tables. We were directed to the bar where they were slammed and after waiting 20 minutes and seeing the tables are still available we went back to the young hostess who still insisted on making us wait. I could see if there's 2-3 tables open of course they should hold them for reservations but 6 tables open? And then to make us go to the bar where they're slammed and need help while waitresses at tables are just fiddling their thumbs? Even when she sat us the hostess directed us to the seats at the wall while many banquets were available and remained so for a while. A strong experienced manager should have managed this situation and to improve the guest experience.
But at any rate once we got seated things started to improve, the food was very interesting and refined. The potatoes fried and dusted with something interesting were different and appealing. The agnolotti with squash were also great and the steak was tasty and interesting. We had mezcal margaritas which were just right and a very different coconut cream desert topped it all off. Interesting restaurant but front of the house needs help!
The food was spectacular - we had five different dishes and each was unique and very favorable
Absolutely beautiful venue tucked away off the street. Happy hour every day, 4-6 @ the bar out outside but not in the dining room. Absolutely beautiful inside and out. Can be a bit pricey, but the happy hour is more than affordable although its mostly smaller fare, don't come expecting to fill up on the happy hour menu alone. That being said the drinks were excellent. I felt like there were long waits before we saw our hostess between orders but we were outside which was heated and very 'L.A.' we would love to go back with some friends to have drinks, kind of inconvenient that their happy hour doesn't include the main dining room but that's not the first time I've seen that kind of arrangement. The food was very unique and well made. Interesting combination or flavors. If you do go for happy hour, you've gotta try 'The Burger' it was an umami bomb of flavor. I could have ate there of them they were so good and that should also hint as to the size of the burger, it could have definitely used some fries to go along with the included cheese dip. All in all it's a beautiful eatery perfect for a date night or meet up with a friend. We had around three drinks and fiver items from the happy hour menu and before tax and tip was around 65$.
Beautiful ambiance and excellent food!!
The food is outstanding. We shared 6 or 7 dishes and each one was better than the next. The outdoor seating along the long hallway entrance is unique and cool, but comfy. It felt like being on someone's backdoor patio. The space inside is also unique and cool, yet still cozy and comfortable. My friends and I couldn't stop talking about how good the food was. Standout dishes: the hamachi crudo, the octopus tostada, the uni cacao & pepe and the steak.
Birthday dinner very nice
It was our 2 year anniversary, on arriving we were pleasantly greeted. We were early for our reservation so we had a drink at the bar. As it was an early reservation the restaurant was almost empty, in spite of that we were led to a table near the back corner.
I asked the hostess if we might be seated in another table, perhaps a booth? She responded with a resounding no. We accepted her answer and enjoyed our dinner but it did leave us slightly off considering there were still some open tables that we had asked for.
From the minute we all got there we felt unwelcome. The hostess needs a lesson in doing her job. Rude unpleasant and not helpful.
fantastic food in a very comfortable, relaxing place.
Great food, ambience and service. Celebrated my husbands birthday and would definitely come back again. Thanks Atrium!
It was freezing. Food was great though.
Great food and beautiful ambiance!
It's a great addition to the Los Feliz neighborhood. Has a hip vibe, but is still cozy and great for dates. The food is impeccable and the service was on point. Can't wait to try this place for brunch.
Awesome without pretension! You won’t be disappointed!
Food is very creative, good for sharing, heavenly for taste buds! We loved grilled ficcacio with its special kimchi spread, fingerling potatoes with its yummy dipping sauce, crispy oyster mushrooms (should have been served first because of its lightness and citrus flavor. Pork chop was ok, a bit too much stuff atop. Save room for dessert— chocolate creation hucious, and coconut mousse concoction with layers of surprises from horchata ice shavings, to rice crispy crunch to basil sprinkle all dancing across your palette a festive flourish to end a dinner!
Restaurant needs street signage, parking a bit challenging.
Server Emmanuel aka Manny top notch. Mgr Frankie made cordial rounds!
Amazing food. If you're a foodie, you'll love this place. Very inventive dishes. It's a cool, hip looking space too. The only downside is that unless you arrive after 9:30pm, you're going to be shouting your whole conversation. It's obnoxiously loud. Which I think takes away a little bit from it being a romantic place; despite the romantic look of the restaurant.
Great service in a beautiful setting. For brunch we had yummy biscuits, great hamburger and egg and bacon dish with cauliflower. For our anniversary they complimented us with a delicious dessert
