Atrium Dumbo Ratings and Reviews
A most disappointing experience. The service was extremely poor. Our server was very disconnected and failed to describe the dishes accurately. I had the Duck and the menu description suggested that it would be accompanied with vegetables. In fact, there was a garnish but no sides. My partner went for the Lobster pasta and described the lobster as the chewiest and most tasteless she had ever had. Our red wine was served well below room temperature and never warmed up. With a bill of over $200 (including tip) for two courses each plus the wine, we would have expected a fine dining experience. This was far from that. We won't be back.
I went for dinner after strolling around Brooklyn Heights and DUMBO with my sister who was coming to NY to visit me. We ordered the raw oysters to share and I ordered the Chitarra pasta for myself. The size of the oysters was smaller than we thought, although they tasted OK. I liked my pasta - quite tasty. Having been in NY for over a decade now, I am a bit spoiled with good food. I am not 'wowed' but I would not mind dining there again next time I am in DUMBO.
Great location, solid food and friendly but underwhelming service. We ordered one appetizer, two pasta dishes and two entrees to share. One of the entrees was brought out prior to the pasta dishes which was strange to us but possibly due to it being a fish dish. We would have expected this to be clarified when ordering but not the end of the world. Unfortunately the waitress forgot our second duck entree altogether which we were excited about. There were very few people in the restaurant and we were sitting in front of the kitchen so no good excuse there. Overall the food we did have was quite good, just not great, and when combined with the overall experience I can't recommend this restaurant to others.
Visiting New York for the Macy’s parade and went there for Thanksgiving dinner. The menu was fabulous and the wine pairing one of the best I have ever had. Coming from California and spending a lot of time in Napa Valley that should say everything about the wine pairing and the Som. Our waitress was fabulous and the host was most welcoming, I would recommend Atrium Dumbo to anyone.
I made a Thanksgiving lunch reservation on OpenTable 15 minutes prior to the reservation time which required my credit card to reserve. We arrived at the restaurant and were handed a tasting menu. We didn’t like what was on the tasting menu and asked if we could order off the regular menu. The waitress said there’s a bar menu we could order from but we’d have to be seated in the bar. Our table was literally right next to the bar area. I asked for the manager and explained we didn’t want the tasting menu. He offered no options so we left. The manager was extremely rude! And they charged my credit card $200 ($40/person) which was a cancellation fee even though I never cancelled the reservation. WT*! Extremely unaccommodating! You don’t treat people this way!!!
Walked over from one hotel Brooklyn bridge for a quick brunch. We were greeted and seated quickly, friendly service, great food, sweet ambiance. Loved the playlist, good vibes. I had the biscuits to share with butter and jam. They were super tasty. Loved the chicken and waffles with bacon, eggs florentine with crab, and ham and gruyere omelet. Also had a glass of the dry resiling which was very good as well. Would definitely come back if in the area.
Good food and atmosphere. We were a bit early for our reservation but were seated right away. Duck egg appetizer was surprisingly good. Snapper was perfectly cooked and cauliflower side was quite tasty. My wife’s pasta entree was also excellent.
My only complaint was that the beer menu was a bit limited.
Visiting NYC from California and went to Atrium Dumbo on a recommendation from a friend. Enjoyed superb cheese/charcuterie plate. Seafood platter was excellent too. I was eyeballing the chicken for two w truffle pot pie at the table next to us. Looked amazing! Was pleasantly surprised to be assisted by a somm, who did a great job recommending a dinomite Bordeaux.
Go early and stroll along the pier under the Brooklyn Bridge and take in the incredible view...gorgeous at night!
