Atria's - Peters Township Ratings and Reviews
Service was slow and not attentive to getting the order right. Service staff spent a lot of time in the kitchen or talking just outside of the kitchen.
Food was mixed. Entrees were okay but a couple of us ordered cod sandwich with fries and it was terrible. Bun fell apart, cod was a long piece of fish and was pulled apart to fit on a round bun. One piece didn't fit so they left it to the side. Who does that! Modest amount of fries that were partially cold and greasy. I left thinking I could have saved $10 and gone to fast food restaurant for at least as good, if not better, meal. The next day we all agreed we wouldn't be back. The restaurant used to be good but has been disappointing our last few visits over the past year. It's not an uplifting experience, especially when the staff don't seem energized or happy to be there. Not sure what happened but seems this restaurant is on a downhill trajectory.
We also noticed a table of 4 walk out after 15 minutes... nobody greeted them. The table next to us had to send their dinner back. We waited 10 minutes to get greeted and then another 5 minutes for our water.
Didn't appreciate that the hostess kept calling us "you guys"...would expect a little better approach.
Sorry to see the decline.
I have been coming to the Peters Twp Atrias as since they opened. Over the past year, the quality of the food and the service has gone steadily down hill. But this last time, I ordered he special which was a filet and lobster tail for 31.99. The filet was about the size of a .50 cent piece and the lobster tail looked like it came from an anorexic lobster. Not to mention it was very fishy tasting. I wish I would have taken a picture of my dinner. It was the most pitiful dinner I have had in a very long time. It will be a very long time before I will go back, that is if I ever will go back!
Becky served us for the second time. She is a delight: attentive, efficient, courteous, friendly, smiling, and welcoming. She juggled all of her responsibilities well on this busy night. We were provided our choice of seating: the best seat in the house, one of the three booths. This enabled us to avoid the frenetic pace of the loud dining room below. My chicken picatta, my fiancee's burger, and her son's macaroni and cheese, homemade chips, and our strawberry bellini martinis were all delicious.
This was chicken pot pie feature night, which is always outstanding and a fine bargain at $9.98. Adding in the fantastic (as usual) service from Stephanie, who made my fiancée's eight year old son feel welcome and comfortable, made for a marvelous evening. We waited in the cramped, crowded waiting area beyond our reservation time, which was unpleasant, but we were provided the server and table of our choice, one of the three booths.
Food was good. BUT We were rushed to get out. We ordered drinks and were asked to order our dinner. We were with a group of friends. Salads were on the table before I even had a chance to have a sip of wine. Our reservation was at 615 and our bill was paid for by 7pm. Restaurant had plenty of seating. Would not recommend for a dinner with friends.
I had to modify the reservation time twice on short notice due to weather problems affecting my significant other. We were still accommodated with a choice booth, our preferred place to sit and one of the best seats in the house. Rachel provided fine, attentive, gracious service, taking good care of us. The presence of owner Linda always adds to the dining experience. We dine at many restaurants. Atria's attention and devotion to the customer is extraordinary and keeps it high on our list. Many establishments that offer fine food do not provide this. The smothered chicken Tuesday Retro special was a fine value at $9.98. The chicken, however, was overdone, dry, and part of it blackened. The side dishes: mashed potatoes and french fries, were excellent as was our limoncello cake, beautifully presented with whipped cream and raspberry sauce drizzled on the plate. We were not offered or brought bread, but we did not need it. The $3 Guinness draft beer special cannot be beat.
This evening featured Atria's legendary chicken pot pie for $9.98, a fabulous deal. The pie is scrumptious and on this night, it featured plenty of chicken with vegetables in its inimitable delicious sauce. We were provided a new server, Becky, who was charming, delightful, welcoming, and efficient. She did all that she could to ensure that we had everything that we needed and that we were satisfied. We are making Tuesday Retro Nights at Atria's a regular event. It is one of the finest dining spots in the region.
My son and I came here for lunch after the theater. Beautifully appointed dining room, very attentive staff and delicious food! We were greeted by the owner, who gave us a complimentary appetizer, which was yummy. The value was amazingly inexpensive! They also have a wonderful outdoor patio, for dining, with lovely plantings for privacy. Will definitely return!
It is another restaurant chain that advertises, "When you're here, you're family". No establishment is more the epitome of that slogan than the Peters Township Atria's. I feel that I am dining with friends when I step in the door. It began on this evening with the warm, friendly, gracious greeting with hostess Rebecca, who later came to the table to engage my lady and me in conversation. Service from Rachel was efficient, enthusiastic, friendly, and flawless. One of our favorite longtime servers, Stephanie, came to the table to greet us and chat. Our entrees were brought by another server gem, Jen, who was delighted to see us again. Proprietor Linda came by twice to greet us and ensure our satisfaction. She demonstrates why this restaurant is so successful, doing whatever is necessary to keep things moving, including serving food. Our food and drink were great and the values in the Tuesday "Retro" specials are incomparable, each week a new delight priced at a mere $9.98. Tonight's feature was pork filet gorgonzola, three small pork filets wrapped in bacon, served atop potato pancakes: filling and delicious, prepared perfectly. I paired it with a Tuesday special $3 Guinness draft beer. We will be dining on Tuesday nights frequently during this promotion period. We always leave our beloved Atria's delighted!
The formula for the perfect dinner is a large, delicious Atria's pot pie, bargain priced at $9.98, the ambience and comfort afforded by this beautiful restaurant, the extraordinarily gracious, friendly, and efficient service from Stephanie, and a chat with vivacious, hard-working owner Linda. No wonder the pot pies, works of art, were flying out of the kitchen tonight. It is also no wonder Atria's attracts an excellent clientele and why I see so many familiar faces there again and again: it is perfection!
None of the servers with whom I have experience and requested serve my party for this meal was available but as usual, we were provided another gem: Kelly. I had observed her for years, first as a busser, and always saw her as a pleasant, efficient staff member. She was wonderful: a complete delight: friendly, kind, welcoming, and ensuring our complete satisfaction. I was pleased to be dining during the Oktoberfest preview menu period. I ordered Jaegerschnitzel: breaded pork cutlets with speatzle. My companion and I shared a chocolate brownie a la mode with whipped cream. It was not only delicious, but was one of the most artistically-presented desserts imaginable: another memorable evening at one of the area's finest places.
Only complaint is that this was third time at this location, that despite my notifying hostess that this was Open Table reservation, they failed to log as such. While still at restaurant, I was notified that I had not honored reservation. Eventually it was straightened out, but it is frustrating.
We got there and they were obviously a bit confused. It turns out that there were at least several call offs that evening. We were seated and told it may be a few minutes before someone could wait on us. But we would at least not have to stand in the entry. We were fine with that. The server didn't even take that long to wait on us. He was very nice and explained the call offs. The person who sat us was not a regular hostess. And she even came over to make sure we got waited on or if we needed drinks while we waited. The bartender brought our drinks directly to the table. Even the busboy was helping by running food. It was a wonderful show of working together. Our dinner did take a while. When we were done eating he said thanks for being so patient and gave us a coupon for a free appetizer for our next visit and a free desert for that evening. I wish other guests would have been a little more understanding., we did hear some grumbling form another table
Our reservations were honored on time on a busy Father's Day.....and our waiter was particularly good...attentive but not hovering. Excellent. We always feel very welcome at Atria's. I didn't give a higher rating to the food, as two of our foursome didn't seem to really love what they ordered (...one had a salad with shrimp on it, and the other, hash.)
Very disappointed. 2 other parties of 2 were seated and we were seated between them. The rest of the restaurant was empty. The one couple was loud and I have no clue why we were sat together that way. As one of three tables it took approximately 20 minutes to have a member of the wait staff come to our table only AFTER my husband went to the hostess to ask when someone was going to take care of us. The food was adequate but as they say it's all about first impressions.
Our waitress, Dana, was VERY helpful. We'd spent the day working on projects and it simply got away from us. We rolled into Atria's Resturaunt at 9:30 PM. Dana was kind and gracious, tookk our orders and I must say, it was the best Chicken Picata that I've ever had there. Coffee was fresh and we got to enjoy each others company at a classy restaurant instead of hitting the deli pre made sandwiches from the Giant Eagle. Kodo's to Dana and the kitchen staff for a job "WELL DONE!"
Would have been a lovely evening except for the table they put us . It was an outside table covered with a tablecloth. It was placed back near the double doors so we seemed like we were on display. The table was too low and uncomfortable! The meal was excellent and so was our server. We even made reservations so to get this table was not what I had in mind for our date night!
