Atria's - O'Hara Township Ratings and Reviews
I have been visiting this restaurant since it's opening. Find the atmosphere to be warm and inviting, The food is consistently very good, and reasonably priced. The menu offers excellent seasonal variations. And the service has always been excellent.
There are many very good restaurants around the area but I always find myself returning here to meet friends and celebrate special occasions.
We were shopping that evening and just wanted a casual but nice dinner. We've been there quite a few times and have always enjoyed it. For a whole slew of reasons it was a bad experience. The restaurant was cold and I'm not one who gets cold easily. Our server would vanish for long stretches and the food was average at best. I take no pleasure in writing this but that was our experience that evening.
I would've given the restaurant a higher rating like in the past, but I was very bothers by an incident that occurred this time. Our reservation was for 6:00 PM. we arrived exactly at the time all 7 of us. We were seated and began to look at the menu. We ordered appetizers and drinks as we perused our menus. The orders were placed and one of our appetizers arrived within reason. The other one didn't arrive till we were already eating our dinners. Next came salads that were ordered followed by our entrees. We decided to not order any dessert except coffee considering we were all full from dinner and even a few of us took home our leftovers. So we were catching up with my daughter and fiance' who were here from out of town. The waitress came over and told us that the Managers told her to ask us to leave, so that they could clear our table for other people. First of all, the place was not overcrowded and there were, what seem plenty of other available tables at that time. Not to mention, we were only there for an hour, which we don't consider a long period of time. Our billed arrived at 6:54 PM. In fact, we rushed. I was taken back by the whole situation. Our bill was $200 for 7 people, which was not a cheap bill. I left a 20% tip to the waitress, who was very friendly and accommodating to us. In the past, we have been to your restaurant numerous times and even have hosted birthday and retirement celebrations for 50-60 people. If it is such a bother to let us sit and chat a bit, then maybe we won't come to your restaurant again. There are plenty of other restaurants in the area, we can support and go to. I hope this is just a misunderstanding because if it is not, you can be assured that I will pass on the word about your treatment to customers. Also, why didn't the Manager come over him/herself to tell us to leave rather than sending the waitress over? She felt bad that she had to say this to us. Please be aware of our dissatisfaction.
Disappointed to spend $15 on Greek salad with shrimp. I expected to see field greens as per the menu description. Instead I got chopped iceberg lettuce. A low quality salad. The only good part was the shrimp itself. My brother said his fries were cold, limp and saturated in grease. I have always liked the original Atrias. But at this location the quality that I was used to in the past (at the original location) was seriously lacking.
We love Atria's. Two of us had the Chicken Piccata, it was fresh tasting and lots of flavor. My son had the Chicken Parmesan and it was cooked fine but he said the red sauce didn't have a good flavor. My husband had the steak salad and said it was very good & the steak was cooked perfectly. Portions are huge. The turtle brownie dessert was definitely worth the money and very good. We'll be back!
Food was ok, service was awful.
Beverages were constantly empty.. had to ask different servers for water.
Was a mistake in order and after the right order came out a rude man came out from the kitchen and was rude to us..l after he realized how he sounded ... he did apologize!
Not a good experience
Have been to this restaurant many times over the years and always enjoy being there. The decor is upscale and welcoming with comfortable seating. I have always found the service to be excellent. The food offerings are very good and offer seasonal additions , offering something for anybody. The pork filet gorgonzola is excellent.
We have been to Atria's in Fox Chapel several time. Never disappointed. My only complaint this time was that I put on our reservation that we were celebrating our anniversary and it was not mentioned until my daughter told them as she was leaving and she paid for our dessert.
A very good dinner. Dishes were tasty, seasoned nicely, and presented nicely. Attractive setting. I usually don't pay attention to the ambience/decor of restaurants, but this one struck me. Lots of little things such as a nicely lit glass cabinet for with wine between the entry and main dining area. Attractive decor of brown/tan/earth colors. We sat in an elevated both on the fringe of the dining area. that seating style was patron-friendly as it put the waitress' closer to our level during the evening, rather than having to look down (only in physical way :) ) at us.
Definitely would go back and try something new from the menu.
It may be unfair to rate any restaurant on Mothers Day. The restaurant was crowded and may have strained the kitchen. Our experience was a mixed bag. Inspite of the crowds, the service was excellent. Our server, Daniel, was very pleasant and attentive and was the positive spot in our brunch. The room was very crowded and the noise made conversation difficult. Some groups seems unconcerned that their behavior disturbed others. The food was attractively presented and servings were generous. The fried zucchini appetizer was delicious and the 2 sauces that accompanied this were flavorful. The side salad was very good, also. But the entrees lacked flavor (Chicken Parmesan with pasta - the sauce was flat, crab cakes were just "alright"). We will return for the regular menu when there are more choices and a peaceful atmosphere.
Went to Atria's on mother's day, which I think was the mistake. The server at the outset mentioned that Mother's Day was their busiest day of the year and as a result, no substitutions were allowed. Which I interpret as the food will be prepared like a buffet instead of as things are ordered. This showed in the quality of the food, which was worse than I've had at Atria's previously and generally quite bad considering the marked up mother's day prices. Won't make that mistake again.
The food was good. The service was good . The only negative comment I have is that was no stone ground mustard "available ". Whenever I go to Atria's & I order the Reuben sandwich, I always ask for the stone ground mustard. This may seem insignificant, but that's how I prefer it!
We go to Atria's occasionally to meet my friends for happy hour or dinner. I have also been there for a couple of funeral wakes. This time we decided to try the brunch. It was great to sit outside since it was a warm spring day. The service was very good as usual. We both had the crab cake benedict and bloody Mary's. I thought the bloody Mary was very good andthe crab cake benedict was good but nothing special! didn't really need the english muffin and it was a little underdone. The potato pancakes could have been crispier too. I really enjoyed the beignet and if I go back for brunch I would try something else. All in all it was good.
Had reservationsystem for a birthday lunch. Had to sit in the back next to the patio door that was very drafty. Service was slow because of the crowd, I understand, but one of the entrées was cold by the time it reached the table. Our beverage glasses were not refilled. Will probably not go back.
