Much busier than last time I was there, probably as it was Mardi Gras night. This made it rather noisy so we didn't stay as long as we'd planned. Still good food and beer,
Hidden gem! Haven't been here since it was vintage furniture. Really like what they've done with the place. The staff were really nice from the door to the floor and the manager. Great food options, we had a table of 10 so there was a something for everyone's dietary needs, the was well designed and of course quality beer. Highly recommended.
Great beers. Amazing food. Friendly staff.
The music was a little loud for lunchtime
Food and drinks were good, but quite expensive. Service and location are nice.
What made me gave 3 stars was the beef rib. $36 for a single rib and a small tub of salad. Granted, the rib was tasty, but at that price I'd expect a lot more than a single rib. Even if it were 3 ribs I'd feel like it was expensive.
The beer was good though, can't go wrong with the XPA, and the brown ale was unexpectedly good (for someone who usually doesn't like darker beers).
So would I recommend? Yes, but avoid the beef rib. In fact, most of the food that came out on our table looked pretty average compared to what was on the website. Next time I come I'll probably eat elsewhere first.
What a great place, really good food, tasty and great fun to mix with the beers. Super Relaxed. The staff were friendly, well trained, attentive and professional.
Yummy food and cool setting
Amazing place! I love Atomic beer so I totally recommend!
Very good for the most part. Casual atmosphere and great beer. The only criticism is that no one met us when we arrived to show us our reserved tables. However, it was busy so the staff may not have seen us
Gave less stars than the food, service, etc deserves because it was just too loud. Why don't bar and restaurant owners consider noise levels and seek advice from sound engineers when developing a new premises? I had intended to take friends from Melb to Atomic but no longer. Such a great place but the noise - not 'energetic', atomic!
Very enjoyable experience. Great beer, amazing food. We ahd a large group but were able to hear each other and talk easily. Excellent friendly service, wil be back!
Too loud, but consistently great food. A local fave.
Industrial fit out...similar style to other breweries...works well. Good casual atmosphere. Great modern take on Vietnamese food. Beers were great...especially the dark IPA. Other than beer drinks available, which is a lot better than some breweries, although no Diet Coke. Dog friendly as well.
A really great place for a small group dinner or lunch. Terrific funky atmosphere and inovative tasty food. Loved the trays of beer samples. Good selection of other alcoholic drinks.
Clean crisp beers. Quick food service. Finger licking.
Great beer , awesome food and the atmosphere to match .. will be back again !!!
Such a great place. Had a really great energy. The staff were really friendly. The music was great, but so loud that we had to really shout at each other which was a bit much for an after work catch up with colleagues, however that wouldn't stop me from coming back again :)
Very nice! Much bigger than I anticipated. Good selection of beers - the paddle is awesome value for money. They also serve vino girls, so you don't HAVE to be a beer drinker. The food is amazing - and the staff are very friendly. Unfortunately for me it is next door to where I live - which is going to be dangerous! Thanks Cam and Annabelle.
Food and drinks too expensive especially the food. Although the food was tasty, portion size was too small. Also, if you want to cater for all age groups you need to keep the music volume down. It spoils the evening if you can’t hear the person opposite you speaking.
This was our second dinner at Atomic and although the food and atmosphere are great the service lets the side down. On our previous visit last November table service was provided and our waitress was very helpful in sharing her knowledge about the food, beer and wine options. On this visit table service has been dispensed with in favour of fronting up to the bar to order everything. The food at Atomic is restaurant quality and prices and it deserves to be respected and supported with a better quality of service. We had to ask for plates, cutlery, napkins - several times. Our food order was messed up when a majority of our mains did not get entered into the system. I am not sure whether this change in service style is cost cutting or a move to make Atomic more like a pub but it needs a review. We are locals and will be back for the food but really hope table service resumes as things seemed to run more smoothly.
On the food side - the lamb massaman, roti and short ribs were excellent. Bring back the sirloin with chimichurri soon.
Quality of food has dropped and way overpriced for what it is.
Food was incredible. Such a great destination. Felt very well looked after.
Go for the Atomic Hot Wings. The Atomic Beers, of course are good
Just ate from the snack menu but tried almost everything. All good. Loved the decor and the vibe. Will return for sure.
Our date night at Atomic exceeded expectations. Great ambience (loved the playlist), spectacular and inventive share plates, and pretty great Atomic beer. Highly recommend XPA.
Outstanding venue on all counts! Ticks all the boxes....food, beer, music, service etc
Was disappointed not to be seated in the restaurant as per our booking.
Delicious beer snacks in a funky environment. The perfect post work relaxation.
Not sure what has happened - went on the first Saturday night Atomic opened - have been back 3 further times and the second was still good but the 3rd less than average and the last very disappointing. The food and the kitchen is the issue
A great space. Comfortable and socially distanced.
The food was amazing. Plate envy was high.
A good selection of beer at a reasonable price.
The brewer was on site and happy to chat.
We will be back.
Great beer, great service
Awesome food! The beers are not bad either. Will be back soon.
Great venue, great ambience, great food, great beer.
Go if you haven't been already.
Great service, food is excellent, the space is great
Fantastic venue and delicious food
Food was fantastic. We had the beer paddle which was excellent value for the beer. Our waiter was attentive without being intrusive. Will definitely be going back.
Amazing food and really well priced. Beer was good as well
The occasion at Atomic Beer Project was very enjoyable. The reception was friendly and apologies were made for the immediate inability to be seated at the reserved table, with arrangements made for us to have a drink comfortably while we waited for about 10 minutes for it to become free.
Overall service during the night was good.
The food was excellent with good choices on the menu.
The drinks were also good with the range of beers bar one on tap and a good range of spirits and wine also on offer.
The Atomic Beer Project also is pet-friendly and the highlight of the night was a gorgeous Golden Retriever making doe eyes to anyone who cared to look.
A great experience all round.
We booked a table of 7 guests for Saturday evening and were really looking forward to it as the majority of us were returning customers and had all had a fabulous experience previously.
Unfortunately on this occasion we didn't find out until our arrival that it was the venue's Hottest 100 countdown party, and that the service for that night had been revised from table service to 'order at the bar'. Got to the bar and the bar staff didn't know what we were talking about.
To be honest this was disappointing because we were looking forward to the same (really stellar) dining experience and table service we'd all had previously. The noise level for the countdown was too high for us to be able to hear conversations across the table - understandable if you were there for a party but a bit disappointing if you were there to enjoy a dinner, which is what we, and by the looks of it, the majority of the other tables in our section were there for also. We did ask if it would be possible for the tunes to be turned down a notch but the waiter shrugged and said "it's our Hottest 100 Party, weren't you told when you booked? (we weren't)" .
Hopefully our experience was a one off that came down to communication falling a bit short. The food was still fantastic and we'd go back again but next time we'll try booking in person or by calling so we can clarify if there's another event on.
Top venue, excellent staff and great beers. The curries were sublime! Will go again.
Everything was good, beers and soft drinks are cheap for what you get. The only downside we had was the sirloin. It’s not worth $32, maybe $20-$25 max. Would be much better if it was paired with chips and salad as well
