Atmosphere Mar Vista
Under cover of soft lighting and rustic wooden elements sit communal tables and comfortably furnished nooks, and a bar.
Atmosphere features a new menu of homemade recipes designed by the famous Chef Claudine Marshall. Atmosphere is the foodies’ destination, playable on first dates, long days, and social gatherings, and is available for private events.
The atmosphere is very nice, and the food was delicious. While we found the menu to be very limited, and they did not have several items that were listed, the chef worked with us and we really enjoyed ourselves.
Love this place
Excellent service and great ambiance, good for a smaller more intimate setting
Beautiful place, great food, nice staff! We will definitely come back!
Great vibe! Would come back. The service was great too.
lovely restaurant and staff. definitely worth a visit
Very slow service. Sat there for an hour waiting to get even drinks in
Was there for 45 minutes for them to tell me the food options I ordered weren’t available. Took 20 minutes to get water, and to top it off the bathroom toilet was clogged. Very understaffed
Pizza was the best!
There was no one at the restaurant. It wasn’t even open.
Not open. Don’t make a reservation
The service was amazing! Food portions could be a little more plentiful. Overall was a good experience.
This is a wonderful place to share with friend.. the food, the music, the services are excellent. I love it!!
Our waiter was the best most sweetest guy ever and he was so accommodating!!! Our food was also excellent for the price. We ordered a bottle of vintage Bordeaux and were pleasantly surprised with the price point! It was a great experience and we will be back!
Went out for national cheeseburger day. The place was empty at 7:30pm except for two old guys smoking cigarettes at the front door. Food was just okay. I got the cheeseburger (obviously) it smelled better than it tasted. The garlic fries were good, but they could’ve used salt. The wine was good. The veggie burger my bf ordered was bland - even for a veggie burger. Service was slow. I think we saw the waiter twice before we got the bill- would’ve loved to order more wine, but didn’t want to wait. Over all the decor and the outdoor space was nice. I would be excited to go back if it changes ownership.
In general, this place is great. Unfortunately, for that day there was a fix menu which we were not aware of when we made the reservation and had very limited options. The food was very good, but would have appreciated the notice.
This was our second visit and we'll become regulars. Good food, relaxed atmosphere, reasonable prices. We especially appreciated our host/server.
A nice unpretentious neighborhood place. Comfortable mostly indoor outdoor ish seating with heaters on a cool night and a comfortable enough wine and beer bar on the inside. For West LA the price is very reasonable. the flat bread and the other items I have eaten here were fine with good ingredients. the happy hour ends particularly at 6 p.m. but is very good value if you can make it on time. The beer and wine selection is not vast but more than sufficient if like me you drink one glass at a time and never more than two at a sitting. each staff member here has been uniformly friendly without being overbearing. having to pick one word it would be comfortable place to get a glass of wine and some simple food at good value.
We reached and the restaurant was being closed right before us, the person who was closing it did apologize and said the restaurant was dead so he is closing it early but what is the point of making a reservation if we reach there on time and you close it on us!!
We did our anniversary breakfast and dinner here. Personally, I enjoyed the breakfast a little more than dinner. We had an attentive waiter in the morning. In the evening, the supposed waitress would be joking around with the bar back a lot and not paying us much attention. Consequently, the bar back was very attentive to us and even have us complimentary champagne. Probably not the best venue for anniversary dinner. Great for brunch.
This is a great neighborhood find. The name says it all - the atmosphere is great! The food & service are outstanding.
I wish I hadn’t waited so long to try this local restaurant. I was so impressed with the simple quality of the food here. There was something in the menu that appealed to all four members of our family... not an easy task. My daughter is still talking about the risotto. I’m going to have to make up for lost time and start frequenting this wonderful place!
Average. Only four tables on the salon. Average food. Average wine. Average service. Expensive for only average.
Great ambiance! Once you get the heaters going, all good! Total hidden gem with delicious food!
Very nice atmosphere! Authentic and nice host/esses. Very French!
Great place for a quiet dinner! Loved the veggie burger as well as the steak! See you soon!
It was a pretty limited menu. But everything we tried was great. Live music which is nice, but pretty loud.
Went here w/ a group of friends and had a blast. I was quite nervous when booking as this place is known for their breakfast + brunch and not their newly offered dinner service. However, I must tell you this place is a gem. We chose to sit in the outdoor patio, were greeted by Ray (pretty sure that was his name -- was drinking so I apologize!) and had a great dinner. Vegan options (vegan burger / veggie bites) for some at the table as well as some great meat options (steak / hanger steak ).
Would highly recommend -- corkage was only $20/bottle I believe. Had live music there and really a good scene.
Friendly staff and surprise live music was very pleasant. Food was not exciting, missing flavor.
Good food, well priced. Nice accommodating staff. A calm early breakfast spot
The sweet potato fried were the best I've ever had. Amazing. The rest of the food was tasty. The service was just a little slow and surly.
Place with many flies and slow orders.
Such a cute little place, and you would never guess it as it is so unassuming right there on Venice!
We went for brunch and it took a minute to get service, but once we got served everything went very smoothly and we were very well attended to. Not to mention that the owner actually came over to see how our food was.
I got the burger and my other half got the El Ranchero. Both were quite delicious and well-priced. The garlic fries weren’t the most amazing, but they definitely complimented the burger well.
We will definitely be returning!
The server was absolutely spastic. Made the entire room uncomfortable as he thunderously bowled his way through the dining room. Boo.
