Everything was great until we neared the end of the meal. Service got very slow at that point. We were there over 1 hour after we finished our dinner waiting. It took 20 minutes from the time the bill was delivered until the pay machine was brought out. Unacceptable for a restaurant with this reputation! Food was great, ambiance amazing, but service was awful.
Would recommend the west location over the Downtown location
Rockefeller oysters good. Fish boulanaise was something to be desired as crab leg/mussels tasted rancid and ammonia like. paid full price
Food was delicious. Service was fast, friendly, and welcoming. Very clean, quiet and warming ambience. Price is high, but it is a high end restaurant so we got what we paid for. Had lobster bisque, charcuterie board, tenderloin, chili rib steak, and wine. Total was about $200, but was worth it. Plan on coming back soon.
Very tasty food! quick so you have time to make it to your event, if attending an event.
Our server was fantastic!
Super enjoyable evening as always at Atlas. We especially appreciate Bubbly Thursday. The seafood tower and grilled seafood platter were delicious. Love the piano softly playing in the background. Was a great girls night out.
This is our third visit and we were very happy again. Our food was on point. We had prime rib and the salmon. We also had the tequila old fashioned and they were amazing. Thank you for the fantastic experience again.
After waiting for over an hour for our two meals, friend ordered lamb and I ordered a Medium Rare steak, and we shared an order of ($10) potatoes. My steak came out well done on the outside so I was hoping for rare on the inside. It was very tough, cooked to “well” on the inside and well done on outside. After A few bites of the centre part and trying to chew the outside part, I decided that for $38 (6 oz) that I was going to tell the server...but he didn’t come back to check how our meals were, so I had to flag him down. He took the entire plate, not letting me finish the greens or the crab meat & bernaise sauce (an extra $18) along with my dinning partner eating her food. They asked if I wanted another steak and I said as long as it didn’t take another hour. This was on a Sunday evening and they were FAR from capacity, so when they said it wouldn’t take long I believed them....it took another 1/2 hour! It was cooked medium rare and was also a better cut of steak. However, I was now eating alone as my friend had finished her lamb and her plate had been cleared. We each had had two drinks, no appetizers or dessert. The bill was $150 and they didn’t comp even a drink or charge half-price for the steak. So, if you go on a Sunday - get the Prime Rib spécial!!
This was a pre concert dinner. It was by far a wonderful flavourful dinner! I highly recommend any of there steak options. I would of tried the oscar sauce however I thought it wouldn’t be worth the additional $13 charge. If the charge was lower I would of. The service was slow paced I do recommend the servers to be on the floor more so guests could interact more and learn more about the restaurant. With that aside everyone had a smile and great eye contact with guests. I highly recommend this restaurant to any steak lover!
I was very disappointed with how long it took to get our food. Our reservation was at 5:15 pm, and had a concert at 7. We didn’t receive our food until 7 pm, and were late for the concert.
My best friend and I enjoyed our dinner before Oprah. The staff and food was amazing! The pianist even came to our table to ensure the noise level was appropriate and played a song for our friend whom we were celebrating. It made our night that much more memorable. Thank you!
Was disappointed not the full menu, as my first time at Atlas. But will definitely come back.
Our experience started off strange with us arriving early for our reservation but there being no server on staff yet. We were notified by the hostess that it would be event menu and limited seating times. We understood.
The entire evening we were being rushed. No one said our time was nearing or that us sitting there drinking our wine was an issue. Suddenly we have a rude manager at our table demanding payment and telling us we need to leave the table. So much so, he told me to chug my wine straight from the bottle “don’t even bother pouring it into your glass”
We paid and were told he needed our table, though there were many empty tables in the restaurant and nobody at the hostess desk waiting to be seated.
We left after being treated horribly and will not return. Not worth the expensive food, to be treated poorly.
Prime rib was really good but service was slow and disorganized. Was initially a little busy when we came in. Appeared to be only one or two servers with multiple other staff that would not attend to our table. Waited 10 min for the server to ask for drinks. 10 mins to get a drink refill. Another 10 mins waiting for the bill etc.
Amazing food, and service. Will be back often. The tomahawk for 2 was sooo good
Thank you for taking great care of us Atlas!!! We will definitely be back :)
Thursday evenings a great time to dine for half price seafood. Ordered the seafood high tower, ahi tuna, salmon and the bouillabaisse dishes. Everyone enjoyed the seafood dishes. The server was not well and wore a mask to cover her mouth. My daughter-in-law, a medical professional, said that it will only for 30 minutes and you will have to change for a new one. Regardless, great evening for us.
I took my guests out for a dinner at ATLAS on May 29. Everything was perfect till the next day when my wife noticed that we're overcharged $69 when the server entered incorrect amount into the debit machine. I called the restaurant, left several messages which were ignored. I went to the restaurant on Monday, June 03 but the restaurant was closed as a regular schedule. The manager of another restaurant within the casino took the information and passed it onto the manager of ATLAS who called me the next day. After getting all the proofs, the manager promised that the money will be refunded shortly. Today is June 25 and nothing has happened. My follow up texts to the manager were also ignored. My recommendation is to read the bill very carefully before you open your wallet in order to save you all the hassle I went through and the restaurant only serve you very well up to the point that you authorize the payment. After that, you're on your own.
Very happy with our time there service was great and food was great also.
We had dinner here before a concert. We had made a reservation, but looks like we did not need to as there were empty tables. We ordered a couple glasses of wine, bruschetta and the seafood tower. The plating was beautiful with dry ice cascading down the tower. The seafood is all served chilled, so I asked if it was possible to have some hot garlic butter on the side. The server said she would work her magic and see what she could do. She came out with a burner with what appeared to be garlic butter and proceeded to tell me that the kitchen said they would do it this time because they weren’t that busy. Geez thanks so much kitchen! Well it turned out to be canola oil and garlic. The real kicker was at the end when the server handed us our bill, “oh we don’t have a charge for garlic butter in the system so we added $4 and called it a peppercorn sauce.” Haha wow thank you. Great magic trick. I paid them there $4 without hesitation, but we won’t be back haha. Thomas Rhett was a great concert though.
Myself and three friends decided to go for dinner before going to a concert and were glad we did. Our meal was fantastic, the cocktails were spot on and our meals were prepared perfectly. I had the 9oz tenderloin and would highly recommend it. The other members of our party had the Tomahawk Pork Chop, the Seafood Risotto and the Seared Tuna. We also had an accompaniment of asparagus for the table and there were absolutely I complaints. I’ll definitely be back!
The food and atmosphere is great. The service and welcoming by the hosts are not so much. Atlas is our place to go but only twice we have received an appropriate service. Hosts seem to have a lot of attitude and do not know how to accomodate customers. If you place reservstion you might not get in after all, as the host said “well, this is how we do it here”. I was told there are no tables available even with my resevation even though 4 tables were available. The host said it was “reserved” but not reserved for my revervation. Ok, fine... I asked to speak with that manager who was much more accomodating and more pleasent to deal with. She right away affered us to sit at one of the 4 tables that we saw available and appologized that there were no booth available (which we didnt care about, we were happy with a table). So magically the those tables that were “recerved” as the host said were not... wow! And the whole night the rest of the 3 tables were still available. How can this be explained?! During our dinner the manager checked in on us and made sure we were happy but the setver didnt seem to care. We never got our bread, plates for sharing the tower or cutlery to eat it with... the only reason why we come back is the good food and live piano. The service - you have to auffer through which is sad for this type of restaurant. P.S the tall guy server is great! We loved him. He was the only one so far that cared and was pleasant.
Great food great service!
Atlas is our favourite place to eat before a concert or hockey game. The food is always great and the service is awesome. We love the piano player to add to the ambiance. Highly recommend!
We had a wonderful time at Atlas. The restaurant was beautiful and the food was great. We will definitely return.
Server didn’t seem to care much about my daughter or my need for food to be prepped Celiac safe. When I asked if it was gluten free he said “it should be. That’s on the kitchen”.... not the least bit impressed.
It was our first visit to Atlas and while the food was fine , the waiter Christian was very dismissive and made our dinner a downer. He took our order which was the salmon and pork chop but did not tell us that your menu was a la carte so we had all protein and only a couple pieces of potato . He explained everything to the other two tables beside us and up sold them on the sauces and toppers but I didn’t even get offered an explanation of the menu. If he thought we couldn’t afford our meal and a tip , he shouldn’t have judged this book by the cover. He didn’t even stop by till we were almost finished our meat to fill our water glass.
I saw the kind of waiter he was with the 2 tables next to us who was spending lots of money so I guess he felt they were more important. My husband and I just wanted a nice supper before the game and all I got was a piece of meat that I ate with a bun as a side and service that left a very bad taste in my mouth.
Great half price seafood on thursdaus
Service was prompt and overall very pleasant. Embiance was wonderful. Our prime rib however came out cold and the sides were overall disappointing.
The service and the food was excellent We had the salmon and it was cooked to perfection. We will be back again. Thanks.
One of the best restaurants in Edmonton! Absolutely love the food and the service here. It never disappoints.
Service was subpar. Waited 10 minutes after being seated to be greeted. Wasn't informed about the menu changes for game day and tried to order of the electronic menu on the table but was told I couldn't have any of the dishes I wanted. Asked for the bill and had to wait another 10 minutes to get it. Not a very good first experience.
Food & ambiance was bombs. Only complaint, it would be cool if the milf server didn’t check out my mans and glare at me all night(I know he’s sexy but chill out lady) & if the hostess lady cleaned the wine cellar when they’re closed and not while we were still eating that would’ve been nice🙂 shoutout to the manager though you the man ✌🏼
Food was wonderful! Loved the wood fire taste! Staff were great - adored the piano! Will be back again!
I didn't realize that the restaurant was upstairs in the casino, but it was interesting concept. Was seated right away. I enjoyed having Jenny as our server, she was really helpful and nice, she checked in at appropriate times to ensure that everything was going well. She was able to provide a lot of information about the food and what to expect. Friendly and open conversation. We had an earlier reservation, but around 6 o'clock, a pianist came in and started playing the piano. I thought that was an excellent touch and it added to overall ambiance of the restaurant as it's not a common occurrence in restaurants that I've been to. Personal touch, and luxurious restaurant! Definitely going to be coming back here!
Had a nice dinner here late on Friday night. Going back today shortly for their all you can eat prime rib which they do every Sunday I found out. They also do half priced seafood every Thursday.
Looking forward to trying the 48oz tomahawk at a future visit.
We took place in the downtown dining week. Everyone at the table had to participate in it otherwise we wouldn’t be able to get the deal. The food was delish and the service was awesome. The piano player was amazing but between the piano and the noise from the casino it was hard to chat without yelling. The deal was great - 3 course meal for $45. I would go back for supper but I would ask for a quieter table if there is one.
