Mushroom Risotto is really tasty! It’s a bit rich so I packed half of my meal to take home. It was also too much to eat with a 3 course meal. Atlas is always good, it’s our go to place for a nice dinner!
Food took a real long time to get. Once got it it was cold and not very good. We had ate there once a year ago ish and was great. This time we took guests and everyone’s meal was very disappointing. But our waitress was very good.
Food taste and updated menu would help. Big thank you to piano guy, that was good
We found the service to be great but the food was average. We had the salmon and tuna ahi Provençal. Even the old fashions were average (jw Marriotts we superior)
We have visited Atlas many times and I have to say after this last time I don't think we will be back. I'm not sure what has happened to this place but it was not what we were used to. The exhaust fans maybe were not working properly but we were seated right next to the kitchen and it smelled so smoky it was awful. The service was not very good and the food well for the price was terrible. Maybe it was just an off night but, there are so many other places right in the vicinity of Rogers Place that I think its time for us to move on from Atlas and try others before hockey games.
Stay with the steak...the Ahi Tuna was underwhelming to say the least.
5:45 pm reservation for an 8:00 pm hockey game...was JUST enough time and dessert was rushed. Great meal had by 4 of us. Well prepared and delivered hot. It took awhile for the drinks to be poured and the meals to be sent out of the kitchen, with the excuse of a "large party in the back room". Since we weren't in too much of a hurry it was ok with us. However, the slowness continued and after waiting 20 minutes for dessert it finally showed up but we had to rush through eating it. Plan on spending about $75.00/person. Probably won't go back.
Have never dined here before. Enjoyed our meal and listening to the pianist was really nice.
This is a great way to start to begin a night out with the Oilers, I’ll do this again soon
Great venue for going to meet with people in a fun setting.... but quiet enough to conduct a meeting prior to a fun night at the Hockey game next door. No hassle
We’ve been many times and had very good experiences every time so we invited a new guest to the restaurant. This time was different. It wasn’t all bad but certainly not the same experience as we’ve been accustomed to. The good was the appetizer of the goat cheese bruschetta and the tomahawk pork chop (I order every time and it was better than ever). There were 2 orders of the chicken and both were far less than the usual well cooked, great flavour meal. It appeared as though it must be cooked sous vide and it’s supposed to be smoked on the Josper smoker but it seemed as though they forgot that step. The skin was not rendered down at all after initial cooking in the sous vide making it less than appetizing. Normally it had been great and tastes more like red meat than white meat believe it or not.
Then there is the service. Our server was not very attentive and forgot orders. I had to ask about the Caeser I ordered after the appetizer was brought out. It was the first chance I had to ask about it. She forgot to ring it in. We had ordered a bottle of wine for the table and not once were our glasses re-filled. It was put in a decanter that had a very large spout and it was awkward to pour sitting down but that’s what we were forced to do. As we ate our mains, we ordered a shareable side of roasted vegetables but it wasn’t brought out with the mains. We were over half done our mains and our server came to see if the kitchen brought out the side. It hadn’t come out and we said don’t bother at this point. No apologies and no other visits from the server or manager on duty. To top it off, I had to point out the fact that the side as not removed from the bill.
Overall we will come back and chalk this up to a one time occurrence but it was far less than an experience we were happy with.
One meal was delivered to the table after everyone was finished eating. We had to ask to have it removed from the bill. Service was okay at best. Not normal for Atlas which is one of my favourite places.
My husband and I enjoyed our romantic Valentines Day meal. The food and wine were fantastic and our server was really nice. We enjoyed the ambiance, felt like we were in Vegas. We would come again for a special occasion.
From the live piano to the open spacious dining room, it felt private. Appreciated spacing between appetizers and entree.
Valentines special was explained as a discounted price.... the fixed price was not on the special menu/ or I didn’t see it....then I was not told the 10percent from my club card did not apply to specials until after the waiter went back to readjust the bill for 10 percent off. We only got 10 percent off water with a $180 bill which after tips was over 200... I wanted to tip 20percent cause I just like to give back the discount to the waiters but i just felt off by that small promise to honour the club card.
Great service ! Braven should learn from them ! Food is always excellent. Hostess was very polite and professional, unlike the hostess at Braven.
Had a wonderful valentines dinner. The food and ambiance was fantastic. Unfortunately our waitress seemed very inexperienced. She may be better served starting at a Denny's or something more casual for experience before working at a place of this quality. I do have to say that the Manager and other waitresses (that you could see were all on their game) that helped her were all fantastic. Over all it was a good experience.
Were seated and waited at our table right behind the hostess desk for 15 min with no service whatsoever. Had to ask the hostess to get someone. At times the manager, hostess and another staff member were all at the hostess desk simultaneously but oblivious to our lack of service
Fantastic service and great food!! I would recommend this restaurant any time of day
The Bruschetta was out of this world!
Staff went above when one of the members of my party was displeased they ensured she was happy at the end of the night.
Went for New Year’s Eve dinner and a birthday. Horrible service, had to send our food back twice and still the third time they couldn’t figure out how to cook a steak medium rare. Will not be trying it again.
The meal was not great at all. The wait time for our meal was extremely long and the courses came out in the wrong order. The temperature of the meal wasn’t good. I expected it to be a much better meal given the very high price.
New Years date with my love
Our third visit for dinner here and we are never disappointed. Love the live piano and the table side prepared Caesar salad! The cocktails are delicious and not overly sweet as you can experience in many venues. This time we had the seafood tower for 2 and this was delicious and great value
We recently made the mistake of trying Ruth’s Chris and I wish open table would have asked me about this experience. This was hands down the worst meal we have ever had in Edmonton as well being ridiculously overpriced.
I think our waiter was new.... She didn't know the specials or comment on the drinks. She seemed really lost and didn't sell me on anything. That was disappointing.
However I did enjoy the atmosphere, the drinks, and food.
The place was busy and they were over booked so they wanted to seat us at the bar despite our reservation. We were not ok with that as we had booked a table for 2. The manager was very attentive and settled us at a high table for 2 and discounted our bottle of wine.
Have previously had great meals there. The Mac and cheese was so strong with blue cheese and salty I could not eat it.
We went for my birthday dinner and have been once before. Our first visit was amazing, no complaints and the food was the star of the night. We gambled afterwards and the staff were very friendly. This time around we didn't have the same experience. Although my food was good, my boyfriend who ordered a medium rare steak was not impressed. Twice his steak came out rare in the middle to the point where it was cold and completely raw. The first time he sent it back we watched as the chef at the open kitchen rudely argued with the waiter about the steak. In the end the manager, waiter, and our waitress came over to see if everything was okay and comped our meals. However good the service, the food was subpar and the chef's reaction was not warranted. We had high standards for this place after eating here once before but as for the food quality mixed with the price, it was unimpressive for sure. Overpriced Keg is right.
Good pre-game meal. Very quick service to get us to puck drop on time.
I felt it was an over priced Keg. It was a bit of a pain to get to it.
Food was not good, bread cold. Food quality has decreased dramatically. Service not good. worker hardly come. Price is good because of Thursday half price promotion
Have never been so disappointed in a dining experience. We went to the game and decided to get a room down town so we could have a 'fancy" night out on the town. Made reservations as I knew it would be busy, every was going pretty good at first. We ordered one drink and once that came we ordered our meal. Barely touched my drink and my appetizers came, seemed quick but OK. Just finished that and our meal was there. OK still seams quick but OK. By this time my drink is gone and so is my water. That was the last time we saw anyone. Nobody checked to see if we need anything, tried several times to get our waiters attention and then just anyone's attention. Our intention was to have many drinks that night or we would not have spent $300 on a hotel room. I could have drove home no problem. We only do this once a year where we spend the night down town.
Our server finally brought our bill, long after our meal was done and every drop from our glass was drank(including water) but didn't bring the machine. He was coming right back, 15 minutes later I finally had to go ask him to bring the machine so we could end this horrible night. Lots of apologizes but guess what, still didn't bring the machine. After waiting another 10 minutes a women finally came by, probably to get the dirty dishes that have been sitting at the end of our table for close to an hour. She made the mistake and ask how everything was. Brutal was my response. It may sound like all I wanted to do was get drunk and yes I certainly was planing on drinking hence the plan to get a room. But I have never felt so ignored and unimportant while trying to give someone my money in my life. Food was good, water was good and the one drink we were allowed was good too. Generally we are very generous tippers, for the fist time in my life our tip was $0.
there was some one in the restaurant with the worst B.O I have ever smelt totally ruined my experience
No beverage refills
Slow to no service
Loud patron noise and piano competing resulting in no ability to visit with those across table
Waited 90 min after order taken only to be advised main courses had not been entered into system
Had a good experience, one dish was not prepared to my liking but it was handled very well by staff. Definitely would return again.
Brushetta was excellent
They never give my open table points very disappointed
I enjoy always atlas steak & fish
Lamb was so small not worth ordering. Dry and chewy. Asparagus overcooked. If your going to serve it in a sizzling cast pan cook it less. It will continue to cook.
Great dinner awesome service. They were able to accommodate us a little earlier so that we xould make the game.
