High quality and well conceptualized dishes with a great vibe and stylish decor.
Live in south end, hadn’t been, love other tapas places in south end (Toro, Barcelona), gave it a try. Octopus was tough, waiter was great and brought another, still wasn’t great. Also ordered blue crab, menu said over sweet potato purée, which ended up being large slices of sweet potato, Brussels sprouts were really lackluster, drinks were good. Wouldn’t go back given all other restaurant options available to me in the area.
good food, service ok, abit noisy for outdoors but could be called lively
This is the place to come if you A) LOVE seafood, and B) want plenty of tapas choices. The menu has something for everyone, and everything was delicious. Inside isn't too noisy, and the staff was so helpful. Definitely check it out!
Ate outside on beautiful afternoon. Our favs were Spanish omelet, warm bread with tomato, roasted cauliflower, tuna. Crab dip disappointed. Mussels were good.
Most Disappointing was ordering the spanish sardines and being served a $2 can of sardines - hardly what I expected for spanish tapas. With the encouragement from our waiter we ordered more only to continue with the disappointment. I have no problem paying for quality but this was uninspired and overpriced. Not only would I not recommend but I doubt that I would now visit this chef's other restaurants.
We were very pleasantly surprised with the quality and creativity of the cuisine. Usually tapas and Portuguese/ Spanish fusion is lackluster but this place pulled it off very well. We were especially happy to sit outside. This is going to become one of our Boston stopover favorites !
Excellent dinner. Will definitely be back.
Excellent service, spectacular food and the patio screening made for an intimate dining experience. Cannot wait to return!
Went here with my mother and boyfriend. We loved the selection of tapas and cocktail menu. Also the service was unbeatable for Bos! Thank you :)
Great Tapas restaurant. Great atmosphere and great addition to the South End.
Great service. Tapas slightly underwhelming. The cod croquettes were really nice. Scallop was melt in the mouth but expensive for only 3..the broccoli salad could have been presented better.
Had a lovely evening out on the patio! We ordered a lot of dishes to try everything - all the items were so delicious that we actually ordered more of the same dishes - twice! Highlights were the ceviche of the day, tuna crudo, hamachi crudo, broccoli salad, zucchini, rainbow carrots - just everything! Walter was our server and he was so helpful and attentive. Helped us pick a fantastic bottle of bubbles and talked us through all the options. Can’t wait to go back again!
Kudos to the chef for some of the most interesting and innovative food combinations I've experienced in Boston. My special favorites were the sea urchin, flash-grilled hamachi and the dayboat scallops. All uniquely prepared and perfect. The wine selection was outstanding and we enjoyed an Albarino from Galicia.
It would be perfect with soft Spanish music playing instead of loud rock.
Great service and great food. Large menu. They accommodated all dietary restrictions.
Patio seat was too close to busy road. Better partition from pedestrians would help. Food was good except for the brocoli dish.
The Atlántico staff were incredible! The food and ambience were perfect for a relaxed and safe dinner on the covered patio with family and friends. We will be back!
Small plates: 3 out of 5 were delicious, 1 wasn’t fine, 1 was boring. Drinks were strong but not flavorful. 20% tip automatically added with line for “additional tip” felt wrong. I generally tip well but don’t like the practice of making this an automatic add for a party of 2.
We had a business team dinner here on a Tuesday night. The staff was super responsive and helpful, assisting us in finding the right small plates and beverages. It was wonderful to try so many new (to me) preparations of seafood, and the sangria was excellent.
Menu was very busy. Food was poorly executed. Cocktails were way overpriced and were poorly crafted. No flow to the meal at all
Absolutely loved our meal here! Great wine selection, the tapas were well-balanced and everything had great texture, flavor and presentation. I will definitely be back!
Outstanding food & service. Very attentive. Menu was very creative.
Service was great, the food was ok. Ambiance was great as well.
Atlantico exceeded our expectations!
Food was excellent. The ceviche was our favorite. Plenty of options and ability to share really worked out. The gambas (prawns) were great as well as the pulpo (octopus). Wine list was diverse and cocktails looked great. The whiskey one was excellent. Overall would highly recommend and we look forward to going back.
lots to chose from - and good drinks menu - nice atmosphere
Very bad smell around the restaurant when seated at patio area
The food was authentic and delicious. Definitely recommend if you like or want to try tapas. Waitstaff was helpful with ordering and efficient. The portion sizes were perfect for sharing and sampling many dishes. We chose to eat outside due to COVID considerations; sirens and street noise were occasionally distracting but overall, outdoor ambiance was fine.
Food was good. I was a bit confused as this restaurant was promoted as a seafood restaurant, and is actually a Tapas restaurant.
The Menu was hard to read because of the very small font used for printing the menu and lack of adequate lighting. I suggest to management that you make the menu easy to read and put the alcohol on a separate menu. Honestly, even with my iPhone light on, and using the camera function as a magnifier, I could not read the menu!!!
I felt rushed, as you were trying to close and I did not know how to navigate the menu.
Service was good, but I would not return.
Everything was perfect & full of flavor. We will definitely come back to try the rest of the menu.
Food is fantastic. The service is over aggressive with staff CONSTANTLY hanging on our table pouring water every time an inch has been drank and checking on us every bite as we ate. It felt claustrophobic and annoying. This has happened both times we ate there.
We had a 7:45 reservation and sat right away. We ordered about 7 tapas items, and within 15 minutes or so we had EVERYTHING we ordered on the table. The poor server said he had tried to course/space things, but the kitchen just sent it all, with no regards to timing. That meant our dining experience was finished at 8:30! Not a great date night... Also the only item I had that stood out flavor wise was the grapefruit/habanero shrub.
Also, not fond of the "automatic 20% gratuity" that you can "ask a manager to remove"...and I worked in the industry, as a server, bartender, host, maitre'd and manager for 20 years, so I understand how the industry works.
Overall, a poor, mediocre night was had at Atlantico!
Food was excellent and the seafood outstanding. The simplest salad of heirloom tomatoes, onions, bing cherries and manchego cheese and sherry vinegar was a standout! Bravo! We will be back.
Our overall experience at Atlantico was pleasant. The food was good, the feel of the restaurant was lively, service was very quick. Other than the prompt timing, the waitstaff was average. What was not pleasant was the 20% tip added to the bill (for a table for 2). The bill did state that you could get the tip removed by speaking with management. Who wants to go speak to the manager just to tell them that everything was okay? I do not. I find it surprising that a “newish” restaurant would impose this sort of fee as it establishes itself in a neighborhood that has so many (arguably better) options.
Nice outdoor patio, great food, and good service. Sangria was delicious too.
Food was disappointing
Great food. The plates are small (tapas), well thought out and delicious. A nice space, modern, simple. While we were there (inside) it was a little loud, bit not terrible.
My only suggestion would be for servers to advise that entrees come out really fast. Keep the menu, order your next place as you are finishing.
Will definitely go back any chance I get !
Food was fantastic. Service was excellent. We went for lunch and ate outside. There was moderate street noise and an outdoor speaker playing music, but if you didn't sit right next to it, it was not bothersome.
Absolutely incredible service in a chic airy atmosphere, The food came out within minutes of ordering so it’s a good idea to pace yourself. The food is excellent but, because of the unusual combinations, it may take a few visits to know what’s best to order. I would highly recommend it!
First time at Atlantico. I was a little bitter before going because I loved Southern Proper but I heard Atlantico was similar vibes and experience to Barcelona Wine Bar and had to go.
Exceeded expectations. The drinks were amazing. I got the Tulum. Loved every dish we got.
