Chicken was over cooked
Wings were awsome!
Came in before a Nets game... I had high hopes but was thoroughly disappointed. It took over an hour to get entrees and we missed the beginning of the game as a result. Two of the three orders were wrong, and the sandwiches were cold and soggy. To the manager's credit, he took the food off of the bill for the inconvenience. Nonetheless, I won't be returning - plenty of other options near Barclays.
Awful service, decent food.
We were disappointed in Atlantic Social because the dinner menu featured on their website did not resemble the menu we were given at the restaurant. The server explained that they have lost their head chef recently. Ok, we get it but at least change the menu on the website. The food was ok but nothing special and overpriced.
We had a party of 8 for a family birthday. The food did not meet our expectations, though service was excellent. The steak was inedible due to the salt level and peculiar chewy & slimy texture and had to be sent back, the burger simply didn't taste good, the mashed potatoes were cold and needed to be reheated, and the corn on the cob tasted old. When we brought up the issues with management, the manager was very professional and immediately offered to comp the steak and burger, which was a nice gesture. Overall, the birthday dinner was extremely disappointing and most people left hungry. We did not stay for dessert because we didn't want to order any more questionable food (and management didn't offer anything to the birthday individual), so the poor guy was left without a candle & song.
Atlantic Social has the flags of every national football team on its walls, alongside tons of other sports paraphernalia. And when we made our reservation we specifically told them we wanted to watch a Vikings-Packers game. But when we got there they told us they don’t show those games, and the staff clearly had no idea what their policy was, or how to operate the TVs, or what they could show. The staff here is completely inept and they have no idea what they are doing. No wonder this large restaurant and bar only had 1 person in it at the height of Sunday football, while nearby sports bars were all packed. Don’t ever go here; they are truly clueless.
I was pleasantly surprised! Given its proximity to Barclays Center and LIRR, I thought it would be a commuter place. Not at all. The service was super friendly and helpful. My husband had the burger and I had the mushroom pizza. It was deep dish and I could only eat a quarter of it. I thought my husband's fries were excellent. Crunchy on the outside and fluffy inside. God bless double cooking.
We were heading to the Katy Perry concert and so I found someone who looked hungry to give the leftovers.
We liked the place so much, we ran back after the concert to catch the end of the Yankees game.
Worse food and service. Took asking 5 people to finally get our drink ordered DELIVERED to the table 30 minutes after we ordered it and it was all wrong. Service was so bad they comped our sodas. That didn't help. Pizza was so inedible we didn't bother to take the leftovers home. I realize you shouldn't expect much from a place across for a venue but still...ridiculously bad!
Before a show at barclay. The menu was small and the prep on just a burger was gross and the staff couldn't have cared less
service was horrible -- took over 30 minutes to receive our drinks after we ordered them. but then only 10 minutes to receive our food after we ordered it -- looked like it had been sitting under a warmer all day and tasted even worse.
Loved the trendy ambiance. This place, I believe, is very new, and you could tell by the service. No one knew exactly what they were doing, but everyone was nice and trying. The food came out almost immediately which was awesome. I recommend the Detroit-style pizza and nachos.
Great for right before a show or game at Barclays!
Great for before or after
show at Barclays!!!!!!!
right across the street from Barclay's..stopped in before Paul McCartney concert..good food and great to relax before show
I scoped out a place to have a meal prior to the concert at Barclays and I could not have been any luckier in finding the Atlantic Social. What great food, friendly and congenial staff, perfect location with parking right below, excellent place for anyone for any occasion.
Specifically chose Atlantic Social because of its prime location across from The Barclays Center. Got there early to get situated and meet our guests (10) coming to see Roger Waters Concert that evening. Explained to Servers that we had a solid 1 1/2 hours to get are party situated, orders taken and out the door to make event which we spent a lot of money on tickets and traveled to Brooklyn on 911 to see this concert.
The place is nice/casual and perfect for this situation. The food was also good. However they really missed the mark on the service end. From the minute I specifically request that we focus on service and getting done in the hour and a half Which is more than enough time for a casual dinner. I must have got up 6 times to go find a server which by the way kept changing and then going back to the other one. Although they were very apologetic each time and assured me that they were back on track, they unfortunately missed again and again and again. I found the manager who also apologized and told me he was on it only to miss again. They offered us a round of drinks which we did not accept because that's not what we were looking for. My wife's food came out so late she could not even eat it, we had to go and RUN to make this show.
I'm a bit confused because: A they are directly acroos the street from this event center so they must get serious crowds before and after and you would think the would be accustomed by now ALSO it wasn't busy for this event. NOT 50% capacity. I use to work in this business and I know its not easy but this really bad and uncalled for however like a fool I still let a generous tip while I know most people would have left nothing.
Ironic I NEVER, NEVER take the time to write reviews. My wife and some of our other guests asked me to.
Sorry Atlantic Social You have a great place there, with great food and a Great location. Step up your serving game!
We had reservation before a concert at Barcaly Center. We waited over 45 minutes and we still didn't have a complete drink order (3 out of 8 of us received a drink). An hour later only four people received their meal. We had to leave or we would have missed the concert. It seems like a great place but in desperate need of better management and staff. Very disappointed.
THE WINGS ARE PERFECTO - great beer selection - friendly and attentive servers. Fun game room and convenient to LIRR and subways.
Food (fried chicken) was very greasy and drinks were watered down, wouldn't recommend
We went prior to a concert at the Barclays and was told to sit anywhere only to be ignored by everyone even when asking for a waiter, menus, & water. We ended up giving our order to a bus boy who gave it to a waiter. The drinks were terrible, and we only received one item out of the 3 things we ordered. When we asked for the order to be checked, we were told someone will be right with you, then asked who is your waiter? We told them we never had a waiter and they walked away. When I asked the hostess to find out what was going on, her response was we are really busy. I understand they were busy but they need to be more organized and better staffed on event nights. Don't tell people to sit anywhere and never serve them. We finally had to cancel our order as we were going to be late for the concert. We watched 3 other tables leave and the only reason we didn't leave was because our order was placed.
Great atmosphere, attentive and friendly staff! The food was fabulous, will definitely be coming back!😁
We expected a trendy, nice restaurant but walked into a sports bar! Maybe it was our lack of research, but the food was surprisingly awesome. Not even for a sports bar. It was great in general. I'd definitely recommend for a casual hang or a before/after Barclay's event.
Great place and close to Barclays Center! We will go again!
I have to say it was truly a bad night at this restaurant. The food was solid/good but the service was so terrible that it really ruined our night. It was my birthday and I asked that we even skip dessert as I wanted to get out of there. Everything took forever, they had no busboys to clean plates and there was just an overall lack of effort and/or competence. I have been a false fan but I'm not coming back here.
Some of the best wings in New York. Delicious cocktails
The food was great, but everything else was subpar. The servers were mostly friendly and tried to be accommodating, but the service itself was so slow. It took 20 minutes for me to get a glass of water, and I had to ask 3 different servers for it. When I got my meal, my order was incorrect, and when I pointed it out to the server, he acted like he didn't care. I would probably not go back here or recommend it to anyone.
THE SERVICE WAS SO HORRIBLE THAT WE ENDED UP LEAVING AFTER WATING ABOUT 25 MINUTES FOR SOMEONE TO EVEN GIVE US WATER --WHO WE HAD TO FLAG DOWN.
STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. IT IS A BAR TRYING TO BE A RESTAURANT.
WE ENDED UP AT PATSY'S --A FEW BLOCKS AWAY --AND HAD AMAZING SERVICES AND A GREAT MEAL --BEFORE OUR CONCERT AT THE BARCLAY'S CENTER.
Very busy and noisy. Slow service but good food. Not sure though if it was worth the wait.
Went for a pre-concert meal, make sure you leave about 2 hours. Most reviews were right on --- service spotty. If crowded, best to order second round when first one arrives. Food creative -- Detroit style pizza excellent, potatoes not so much. we'll be back for next Barclay event --- they'll get better with service, I'm sure.
Food was good but the service is among the worst we have ever encountered. Hostess took our order as no waiter ever came over. Drinks took 25 minutes to arrive only after we asked busboy to check. Could not order a second drink and didn't bother trying to order dessert. Asked 4 people for check and finally got it after asking hostess. We never met our waiter before we left. It's a shame because the food was very good.
Went before a concert at the Barclays center. Was extremely crowded - they even ran out of napkins and gave us paper towels. Very understaffed. Waited an hour for food. Food was mediocre at best. It seems like a good place to watch a game and grab a beer but not for dinner.
I have never, ever been in a restaurant that loud, and I've been in a lot of noisy NYC restaurants. The television was at full volume because of the Kentucky Derby. AND music was blasting at the same time. Hip hop. AND people were playing the basketball machines. AND - who can blame them? - children were screaming. Now add the sound of a hundred people in the bar and in the restaurant all trying to talk over that. I'm not kidding. The dining room is right in between the bar and the lounge - and it's all open, nothing is closed off. And it's all tile and wood - nothing to absorb the noise. It was a nightmare. We would have left and found something else, but we had a time issue.
Aside from that -- the food and wine were actually quite good. My husband had a very tasty shrimp toast appetizer. Then he had the cheeseburger, also tasty. The fries, however, were overcooked, brown, and limp. Yechh. I had the pasta with shrimp - and it was delicious. The chardonnay was also delicious.
We'd like to have the food and drink again -- but we'll never go back because of the noise.
Amazing food, amazing service, will definitely be going again soon
not impressed. very pedestrian. I could see going here before a night of drinking elsewhere -- only if you had to
This is my new favorite spot in Brooklyn! Awesome vibes, great staff attitude and service, and the food was so good I had to force myself not to eat myself into a coma. We shared the beef salad and Brussels sprouts salad which were divine, and the lemongrass pork sausage and side of buffalo cauliflower were out of this world. Highly recommend this place, we will be making the trip back!
Really dope spot. Slightly pricey, but you can tell the chef's are aiming to please. Really cool hangout spot. Attention to detail was on point.
We came in the middle of a weekday so it was really quiet. The food was awesome. The General Tso's wings are crazy good. It's a huge space. I can see it being great for watching sports and it being vibrant with a crowd.
Please do not make the same mistake that we did and do not assume that the Dale Talde quality experience you are accustomed to enjoying in all his other restaurants will be replicated at Atlantic Social.
This restaurant has terrible service and mediocre food.
They are disorganized, forgetful and unapologetic.
Unless they take a hard look at putting serious management time and attention here, it will be out of business within months.
Service was poor. They didn't have enough menus so we received two for the four of us to share. Weren't many kids options. It took 15 minutes to get a drink. The food didn't come out all together and our waiter never came to check on us. I had to seek out other waiters to get him if I needed something g. Save your time and aggravation and go to Shake Shack across the street!!
Great food and atmosphere. Located across the street from the Barclays center, making it a 3 minute walk to the venue. We were a party of 13, and had good service, something rare for a large party. The food was delicious and came out hot. The manager went above and beyond to make sure we were happy and satisfied. Atlantic Social is a great place, before, after a game, or anytime.
