Atlantic Grille & Tapas Room Ratings and Reviews
Was hoping that it would be better since new owership...but no....food was mediocre and the server was obnoxious saying “my pleasure” after everything she said. Plus she and her trainee had no idea from which side to serve or take away the dirty plates. I am so sad as I was so hoping it would be a star in Palm Coast.
They’ve got room for improvement. I am scrutinizing the place based on the price and expected product. First, really spartan decor, essentially just a room where food is served. Not much character with two pieces of art on wall and some light fixtures. Lot’s of employees but not as much work being done. Waiting long intervals between service. The entrees were very good, not cheap so expected. The beet salad was awful, essentially some cubed pieces of beet scattered on greens. How they call it beet salad? I expected better and was deceived by favorable reviews.
I would rate the Atlantic Grille above average in food quality, but not outstanding. It's a little pricey for the above average rating for quality. Service was very good. We had four people in our party celebrating birthdays, but they didn't do anything to recognize that.
This was our first time returning to Atlantic Grill & Tapas since the re-opening. The decor is fresh with nautical accents and views of the ocean. We sampled the fire roasted cauliflower which was sweet and spicy followed by the yellow tail tuna and lobster tail which were both specials for the evening. The tuna was broiled with butter and capers which was delicious. The lobster tail was slightly overdone but accompanied with a tasty crab cake. We finished the meal with coffee and carrot cake with a front row seat to an amazing lightening storm.
We brought our neighbor out to celebrate her 97th birthday. All the women had the shrimp tacos, which we all enjoyed. Our neighbor's son, who was with us, had the hamburger. It looked delicious. It was a very yummy and enjoyable way to help celebrate a special lady turning 97. We all loved the view of the ocean! Caroline did an excellent job of serving us.
Food was great! But a little pricey . Meal for 4 adults wax $164. When we arrived had a hard time finding which door to enter and we were asked if we had reservation, which we did online about 1 hr before we arrived. They found reservation and asked if we were members, no. They then asked if we were staying at resort, no. Then finally seated us. That made us feel like outsiders invading their territory, but food was very good and served was very nice.
Evening was ruined because of a uninterested, unenthusiastic server who never explained the specials, never offered a steak knife until asked and never brought us a second glass of wine which we requested with the entree until the meal was over. We sent back the wine, skipped dessert and left behind a gratuity commensurate with the service.
Happy to have Atlantic Grille reopened to the public since the hurricane. It is the only restaurant at Hammock Resort that is open to the public. The best reason to go is comfortable dining on the ocean. No other place like it nearby. The food is good hotel food. We went for lunch and had burgers and a salad. Prepared well and I also had the truffle oil Parmesan fries which were very good. It is a limited lunch and dinner menu. The food is good even though pricey. But it is worth the visit just to sit in a luxury dining venue on the ocean. It is one of our favorite spots.
We went here to celebrate a friend's birthday, and I requested privately that a dessert be brought out to celebrate. They must have forgot.
Also, the food was very expensive but not that good. The server and manager were very nice and visible. Best part of the restaurant was the view, it is breathtaking. I would check on lunch or happy hour in the future.
We had a wonderful time at the Atlantic Grill--beautifully redone, the food was fabulous!!! The ocean view is priceless! It was crowded but our service was great!! The hostess was so very nice and attentive!!! The food was really really delicious. We had a vegan in our party and they were very accommodating! The chef prepared an original pasta dish that was delicious! My only suggestion is that they must do something about the acoustics---too loud for such a beautiful and romantic environment.
Went to celebrate my kids birthdays and were disappointed to say the least. The oysters were tiny and covered in bread crumbs to hide their size, lobster tails were $38 each and were tiny. Waste of time and money! No recognition of birthdays either... nearly $200 wasted. Pretty bad when the adults are eating off of the kids plates because they're still hungry. Check out Roy's Orlando or Chart House if you want to know how to do Seafood.
Our first time at restaurant. The views were spectacular. We sat outside an listened to the ocean waves. The best I can say about our server was she must have been inexperienced. Not friendly by any means. Ordered our food...a cup of N.E. clam chowder, mahi dinner & ahi on brioche roll w/ dinner salad. We were served in about 3 minutes. No soup so we canceled it. Never saw server again till food was done. Then she asked me
"What dressing I wanted on my salad". Must admit I got upset. She mumbled something and never saw her again. After a while a manager came out and spoke to us. Apologized and gave us a discount off of bill. Although it was appreciated it was not necessary. A new server brought the bill. Then never came back. We carried payment in and gave it to the hostess. I am sorry I can not recommend this place as there are so few restaurants on the ocean.
This was our first visit since they reopened from the hurricane damage. It is very nice inside with comfortable seating and a nice ambience. It is right on the ocean so the view is wonderful and outside dining is available. I think the food is better than it was before. Very good and great service to boot. The wine list is a bit on the small side, but there are some good choices none the less. It is pricey, but in line with the location and service.
The only negative was that there were a couple of tables with children at them which made for some unwelcome noise early on, but they were gone for the most part by 7:30. I guess this is unavoidable given the fact it is a vacation resort.
We will definitely go back again.
Music very loud. This meal was for breakfast. You are trying to ease in to the day but the music was just way too much.
The bar area entering the Resturant is way off. The interior color is just bad. The rest of the are is bright and soothing. They need to put up some art work and redo the bar area.
Stay away from this Resturant when they are busy. Service very slow.
To sum it up in one word, disaster. We have not been to a worse grand opening in years and that would not be a short list you'd want to be part of!!
There was so much wrong, it's simply too much to list. No printed wine list, over 2.5 hour wait for entrees, server had no knowledge of the menu and management all state to be completely powerless.
Salamander is by far the worst management company on the planet. I wouldn't plan a stay at a single one of their resorts with someone else's money and tragically I am a member here.
Pardon the brevity or potential typos as this was written on an iPhone.
Lobster bisque was very good but that's about it. Service was lacking. It took forever to get bread and then it was brought without butter. My husband chicken fish looked spongey...like fake chicken. I had the pork tenderloin and it was very salty. My daughter's pizza tasted frozen from the kids menu. Definitely not worth the money.
