Highly recommend this gem! The food was excellent. Highly recommend the tasting menu to get a variety of dishes. The portions are generous, the service was fantastic as was the music and energy.

The food was as fantastic as we expected but the real standout was the amazing staff. The 3 waitstaff were so warm, happy, and friendly, it really made our night. Overall it was a wonderful experience.

A very thoughtful and creative menu. Service was friendly and personal without being intrusive. Definitely worthy of the hat it was awarded by the boring at the good food guide. I’m still dreaming of the smoked beetroot!

Excellent restaurant with great food and service. We had chef's menu and every dish was delicious. Next time we are in Blackheath we will definitely visit.

we loved this small intimate restaurant with amazing food. we did the chefs menu because it was just easiest in particularly we loved the beets and the sunchokes and the duck. Staff is extraordinarily friendly and we’ve been telling everyone we know to try it when they go to Blackheath.

Three of us had dinner at Ates and we all agreed we had some of the best food we have ever had. It was creative, thoughtful and with delicious tastes in every dish. We absolutely recommend Ates as a fabulous place to dine. The staff were friendly, attentive but understated. Our only concern, as 70+ year olds, was that it was a bit noisy. We will be going back and have already recommended Ates to friends.
