went here for restaurant week , will absolutely be back! quality and delicious food and drinks. our server kevin has a great personality and was very hospitable.
Wonderful French take on seafood, including classics like Moules Frites - delicious, and 5 different varieties. Sea scallops were terrific, in a bed of delicious roasted butternut squash. Nice list of cocktails, but a pretty limited wine list. Very noisy - all hard surfaces. Several outside tables which are nice on a pleasant evening.
A very pleasant surprise. We have stayed across the street a number of times but never ventured in and had not heard anyone recommend it. My wife, daughter and I decided to give it a try and we will be back many more times.
The food was excellent, flavorful, presented well and perfectly executed. The service was great, the waiter was attentive but not overly so.
I would recommend this to anyone visiting New Haven.
We were there for Restaurant Week Excellent service! The food was absolutely delicious! I had the New England clam chowder. It was full of clams and had a wonderful smoky flavor. My companion had the spinach salad that was equally delicious! We had some Blue Point oysters- perfect! Our main courses were sea scallops and short ribs. Delicious! Dessert was vanilla flan and delve de leche. Wonderful! We’ll be back to order off their regular menus!
I came here for restaurant week with my family! The food was amazing, the server was wonderful and friendly! The interior design is so chic, with some vintage vibes. Thank you for making our dining experience wonderful. We’ll definitely recommend our friends to come check this place out!!
I ordered the waffle order on the brunch menu and received one waffle that tasted like a fried donut. Very disappointing!!!
Poor service (under staffed). Food was ok, but not very hot.
Lovely dinner. Mussels were good. Clam chowder was excellent. My date thought it was salty but I loved it. Server was phenomenal. Nice atmosphere.
Great French toast, live music which I did not realize was live until I got up from the table, the ambiance is very nice and service is friendly
Food was overpriced for the quality-our oysters were full of broken shells, mussels had no flavor and were dry, and squid ink pasta had almost no pasta and no flavor. Servers were vaping at the station which was RIGHT next to us.
The food was terrible. Some of the dishes were barely edible. This restaurant used to be decent but has clearly gone downhill. I will never eat here again.
Mussels were gritty and lacked flavor and the wrong version was served. Fish tacos had no flavor or good texture. Server disappeared for long stretches
Food was good but the service was poor.
Food and service were both outstanding! Bellinis were not too sweet and the brunch menu was so hard to choose from because everything looked great!
We waited an extremely long time for service and our food.
We went at a quiet time on a Saturday for lunch but the ambience was lovely and the food delicious. Our server was excellent.
I absolutely loved the food (brunch) and will be back for dinner. Cannot wait.
Had moderate expectations based on reviews. It was a quaint Thursday afternoon that I stopped in for happy hour and ordered a mojito and oysters. Both could have significant room for improvement. Lots of wilted/brown leaves in the mojito which I was disappointed to see. The oysters were also pre-shucked based how badly the meat stuck to the shell and the ice below was clearly melted and re-frozen.
The waitress seemed a stressed which was odd since there were only 2 other people in the place.
Was a cute old school vibe which would have been wonderful if the quality of food and drink could be improved.
Delicious food. Great drinks. Great service Will be back very soon
Great food! Excellently priced mimosas! Nice ambiance.
I was disappointed in the crab cakes. I have experienced them in other regions and these were my least favorite.
Dining out at Atelier Florian was my first time back into a New Haven restaurant, and the evening was terrific. From the safe environment to the warm welcome and delicious food. The starters were fresh and yummy; the entrees elegant and satisfying--without being fussy. The wine list reflects smart choices (the Sancerre is great), and the sorbet dessert was refreshing. A winner on all fronts!
Had a very enjoyable dinner over the weekend. It was a Saturday evening but the restaurant was practically empty. Food was very good (I had the seared tuna with soba noodles, my friend had the scallops). Drinks had great pours. The service was good - attentive but not overbearing. Would definitely return.
The black ink seafood pasta was excellent, the tuna on soba noodles was meh, flan & coffee excellent, cocktails were wonderful.
Excellent fish, creative menu. Mussels are always good.
Don't be drawn in by the window dressing. Ambience is that of a bar not a dining experience. Food was poor, cold, quality unacceptable and improperly cooked. Staff should be employed at a fast food restaurant where you don't expect plates to be cleared when finished and entrees to be served together. A complete disappointment.
My husband and I enjoyed our Father’s Day brunch experience and we’ll certainly be back!
Had a wonderful father's day brunch here. Service was excellent, food options were great, food tasted amazing. Would definitely return and recommend for breakfast.
A terrific setting for our anniversary dinner. The table outside was NOT like dining in the street, as in some other downtown establishments. Wonderful food, fun cocktails, attentive service. We love this place.
Great date restaurant. June 2021 finds the restaurant understaffed. The Hostess/Bartender/Waitress was doing mad dashes, but we were very well cared for.
The tone of the restaurant has changed since my last visit February 2020, and is nicer and more welcoming. An appreciated correction. I will be back sooner, as I felt like they cared if we came back
Our experience overall was fine. We sat at the bar and felt so bad the bartender had to seat tables, wait on every table, make drinks, and delegate to the runner. Apparently, the kitchen was short-staffed, too, but the food came out fairly quickly and was good overall. We weren’t in a hurry, so we were very patient, but it was not the experience we were expecting.
Great Eggs Benedict, French Toast not so great. Had to ask for extra Maple Syrup. 1 tbsp. not quite enough. Coffee great. A French restaurant should not try to make Mexican Churros, had to have those (soggy and undercooked) taken off the bill. Why not make Beignets instead? Will go back though.
I read the mixed reviews but decided to give this place a try on a Saturday night and really glad we did. There were 2 wait staff covering 8 parties so we had great attentive friendly service. The ambiance was cool and perfect vibe for a date. We had the lobster bisque and the Brussel sprouts for apps which we loved. Then we ordered the octopus and fish and chips for main course and both were delicious. Finished it off by sharing their "Bomb Creme Brulee " which was also awesome. I will definitely be back!
Great food but grumpy service. Dishes came missing elements (no berries, no whipped cream), etc.
Great bourbon selection and happy hour food and prices. Great experience overall.
Despite the tasty, well-balanced menu and terrific cocktails, the night my friend and I visited Atelier Florian, our waitress was extremely rude and disagreeable and seemed annoyed at having to take our order. She asked us no questions, refused to make eye contact, left our check before we had ordered dessert, and seemed utterly discourteous throughout our meal. I realize that these are extremely trying times for all food establishments in terms of staffing, but, as a frequent restaurant-goer, this was truly extreme behavior.
Had a great graduation brunch for my son. Food was amazing, great selection of drinks and service was awesome. Thank you!
Great food, drinks and service. Couldn’t ask for more! Thanks Florian
Out of most beers, claimed not to have some raw menu items because of a busy planned weekend but with an empty restaurant and cooked equivalents (seared vs raw tuna)
Service was a little slow, but good food and drinks.
