   Excellent until dessert;too many desserts which were pretty and designed but not tasty and did not touch one's soul. Service needs improvement. Too much money for what you got

   Impeccable service. Highly designed dining experience but the food was just to precious for our tastes. We often dine at the best spots in SF and NYC and this spot will never again gain our patronage.

   was good but the wine pairing fell short at the end in the desert courses without real explanation until we inquired . I didn't love the main dessert and felt like we kept being up sold options. at the price point of this meal cost over $1100 I should have been completely pleased

   Simply the best culinary experience in sf. The dining room is quite sime but the food experience is unique.

   If you want to feel special, make someone else feel special...then Atelier Crenn is the right place for you. Tucked away in a really nice neighborhood, you will feel as if you have been transported to a heavenly oasis...a respite from all the hustle and bustle of city life. While I dined alone, I never felt alone or intruded upon. The team (particularly Sasha and Justin) was very attentive to every detail. The service was seamless as many participated in ensuring the food and wine were delivered promptly. I even had the Chef de Cuisine deliver 2 dishes himself. WOW!! I highly recommend Atelier Crenn for that event you want to make an impression...it did in spades.

   I have been to Atelier Crenn before, and like last time it was an outstanding experience. The food is wonderful and extraordinary with a exceptional tecnical expertise. But this time we weren't full when we left, and I am ashamed to say, that we had to stop to get some more food on our way home (I normally eat the recommanded 1500 kcal a day, so I didn't expect something wild here). So $1000 and not being full is just not ok.

    If I had never visited Alinea or Next before, I would have thought that this is the greatest thing since sliced Wagyu. But since I had, I'd have to say that for the kind of time and money investment that a dinner at Atelier takes I would have expected a bit more. Now, the food was very good, beautifully plated, and nicely served, and service was very good, but it fell just a bit short of what I thought it would be. IMHO, there are a few things that the restaurant could do, in no particular order. - Provide a take-home menu that shows what it was that we actually ate. Food is very inventive and unusual. It would be nice if we could look at the menu and figure out what we ate, not trying to decipher the poem provided. - A better selection of non-alcoholic drinks, may be even a non-alcoholic pairing course, like Next does. - If the party is celebrating a birthday, I sure hope there wouldn't be any "happy birthday to you" singing, but a small acknowledgement wouldn't hurt. All in all, Atelier Crenn is a great restaurant with excellent food, good athmosphere, and all, but a few points short of "could not have been better."
