We are fortunate on Vancouver Island to have some of the most incredible organic and local producers in the country and access to some of the world’s best fish and seafood. At Atelier, we draw inspiration from our local producers, fisherman, and farmers to serve you the freshest ingredients.

    Lovely, cozy ambience. Our servers were attentive & cheerful. There were 4 in our party & everyone raved about how delicious their meal was. The portions were generous & full of flavor. The rib eye was perfection & the garlic prawns, best I’ve had. Atelier was a lovely surprise & we can’t wait to return.

    Exceeded our expectations. Our daughter pre-arranged to gift us a bottle of wine and Matt and staff made sure we had the best wine to suit our meal. Above and beyond! Superb food and awesome service. Wish we lived closer so we could visit often.

    We enjoyed our dinner and a bottle of wine recommended by our waitress. Shared a bowl of mixed olives, savoury, oily and just salty enough. Our mains were the duck and the monkfish. Both were beautifully prepared and presented, accompanied by vegetables prepared by someone who obviously respects the role they play in a satisfying meal. Unfortunately we had no room for dessert. Next visit I would like to dedicate myself to the appetizers with maybe a cocktail(looking at you pink scallops and Japanese Martini). Happy to see that they offer Small Gods beer on the menu as well.

    Had a lovely time till they let in four people at the bar whose noise level was way too high and seemed to have been drinking prior and spoiled the lively classy ambience that was required for the wine tasting evening. Such a pity.

    This dining event that was offered for the first time truly should continue. A compliment to your fine restaurant. Food. Wine. Staff. Table service excellent. Look forward to future such dinning experiences as well what you and your restaurant offer on a “ regular basis “. Our guests were thoroughly impressed as well.

    Certainly not a cheap place to eat - but good value. My wife has severe food allergies - which were accommodated without issues. Our appetizer came out slow - but it may have been because we were the first people or ? Whatever, we did see that everyone else's appetizers came out in a timely fashion so it was something with our specific situation. I did order my steak black and blue - which is really difficult for a kitchen to make if it's not a true steak house. I regularly receive that type of order as not black, not blue or (usually) neither black nor blue. In this case I got black and medium rare - which is really the closest I have ever gotten. It was very tasty. Kudos to the kitchen. My wife's salmon was very good (with her non-cruciferous vegetables). We had the lemon dessert which was the highlight of the evening. Service was unobtrusive but attentive. Overall a fine dining experience - and we will return
