Atchafalaya Restaurant Ratings and Reviews
Brunch at Atchafalaya was the culinary highlight of my trip to New Orleans this past weekend. It starting with the unique make-your-own-Bloody-Mary bar featuring both red and green Tomato juice and a host of both spices and vegetables, along with a choice of vodkas, including four distilled locally - very fun, not to mention tasty. From there, our very friendly waiter provided recommendations from their eclectic menu, and both of us loved our choices. In short: decor, service, and food combined to make this a great way to start our day. (Now I'm anxious to try their dinner too)
Was hoping for something more dynamic. Food was well prepared and tasteful but nothing extraordinary. Service was adequate but somewhat unfriendly. Overall it was not what I was hoping after reading the reviews. I don't mind spending money for a great meal, but 45$ for a 6 oz filet I guess I was hoping for more (and I don't just mean food on the plate). Again meal was tasty if rather lackluster.
Atchafalaya is the bomb! The food and service is consistently excellent and this restaurant has to be on your must do list when visiting New Orleans! Lovely restaurant with great “make it yourself” Bloody Mary Bar and artwork on every wall. Attentive, courteous and knowledgeable staff will serve you the most amazing food. Really this place is so good that even the cornbread is off the charts! If you go for brunch you have to try the Eggs Treme with Boudin Cakes, Turtle and Alligator Gumbo and of course the amazing cornbread. If you are a drinker and love whiskey then may I suggest the Duck Fat Sazerac? One of the best in NOLA. Say hi to Justin if you are lucky enough to be served by him and don’t hold it against him that he hails from Michigan.
We had a wonderful dinner to celebrate our anniversary. The menu is excellent and both our fish and scallops were prepared perfectly. Great setting for a special occasion. Excellent service and ambience. Would highly recommend to anyone who desires a unique environment with exceptional food.
Waitress was super nice, but forgot what I ordered and had to come back 15 minutes later to ask again, even though we told her we were in a bit of a hurry to catch a flight. She did not remember my coffee until the end of the meal (who doesnt get coffee with brunch?). And the restaurant did not have change for a $100 bill. Other than that, the food was very good and the place is very cool.
