Atchafalaya is a favorite of mine for the last 9 years. Their menu changes, but the experience only gets better. We had a large group reservation and felt well taken care of and well fed. Thank you!
The shrimp and grits were excellent though I didn’t really need to see the heads and tails to believe they were fresh gulf shrimp. The biscuits were a bit heavy made with an alternative flour. Very pleasant dining experience. I would definitely go back.
Best shrimp and grits I have ever had, and I have lived all over the South! Great service, excellent Bloody Mary bar.
What a wonderful meal! Spin on classic southern foods. The waitstaff was lovely. Make sure you make a reservation...it’s crowded for a good reason ;)
This Restaurant it’s one of the best in Nola. Their creamy grits, beet salad, and blue cheese flan is a must. The staff is so nice and personable that I’m recommending it to all my friends and colleagues.
Our dinner was stellar from start to finish. We were greeted by the owner, shown to a private room, and treated to the best food a person could hope for. The Atchafalaya Salad was a standout, as was the friend chicken, and the vegetarian plate. Our waiter introduced us to the chef and pastry chef over the course of the evening. The staff were fun and friendly, the food outrageously good!
Always, always, always enjoy our meals at Atchfalaya. This place never disappoints!
Great local restaurant, amazing food and service. Perfect for all occasions.
We were running a little late because of the rain, but called ahead of time, no problem. Great live music. The best shrimp and grits anywhere! And best of all, Will, our server could not have been more friendly or accommodating. He previously lived in New Zealand, so he made us some flat whites. Great service! We cone back here every time we are in town.
Great as usual!
This was the best meal we had while in New Orleans. If you want local cuisine but at a high quality please leave the Quarter and make the short trip. Good was very high quality and the menu was diverse with something for everyone.
Outstanding in every respect! Notably friendly and attentive server. We’ll be back
Very friendly service. Nice atmosphere and excellent food. The raviola, beets, and pork chop all outstanding!!
Shrimp and grits were awesome! The restaurant is noisy but worth it!
We were a party of 8 people who meet in New Orleans once a year. We make the rounds at various restaurants each time and Atchafalaya was outstanding.
Everyone commented on how it all came together.
Simply amazing. Great feel to the place. Food was astonishingly good.
It was our first visit. We have our children in for weekend. It was wonderful and have already reserved a table for next weekend
It was a pleasant meal but nothing notable. The oysters and gumbo were good, the tuna was ok.
Good food, good service, just really noisy..left with a headache
This place is solid. Consistent food, great atmosphere, and wise creativity with the specials. It is a quick cab/Uber ride from the French Quarter and better than most restaurants there. All the locals love this place. Don't hesitate, book your dinner reservation.
We had a wonderful evening. The host was gracious, our food was delicious and artfully plated with very satisfying portions, and we enjoyed our server’s friendly and attentive hospitality. We look forward to visiting again the next time we’re in the Big Easy.
This restaurant never disappoints! You will never be sorry you chose this a dining experience with top notch service, food and dining ambiance. I frequent this restaurant for all occasions!
We had a really wonderful gluten-free friendly meal was excellent service. Would highly recommend for a special occasion. The price was high but well worth it.
My wife and I ate brunch on Apr.9. We had the Duck Hash/Poached Eggs and Low Country Benedict. Tremendous. Can't forget the cheese grits. Probably the best I've had. The service was prompt and professional. My wife really liked the decor.
I"ve been going to NOLA since the early 80's and there are lots of great restaurants and this is one of them.
This place is amazing. Must go here when in Nola. Great southern food and ambience. Owner and staff were incredible. Thanks for making our dinner so fantastic!
This was probably the best meal I have ever eaten in New Orleans. I had a black drum dish that was spicy and had an excellent sauce. The breads, desserts, everything was excellent. The three other diners who came with me all had different dishes and they also thought it was one of the best meals they have ever had. The wine list was generally quite expensive, but there were wines in our $40 price range that were just fine. The place is small, so reservations are a must. I also wouldn't recommend big parties. Most tables are set up for two or four people.
The eggs atchafalya were absolutely sublime. The fried green tomatoes and eggs combined with the warm chunks of crab was heavenly!
Every single thing placed upon our table, from cocktails to appetizers, to entrees and including dessert, was superb!
The portions were far more than ample and the service was friendly and perfect. Only thing missing was the music, and that was no fault of the establishment, they apologized profusely and were embarrassed that the band did not show. Honestly, we didn’t miss it a whole lot, we were too busy ooohhhing and aahhhing over everything!
Everything was fantastic. The food was superb and Hazel and Christina took extraordinary care of our table. We’ll definitely be back!!
Bloody Mary bar was great, and their homemade sausage is a must!
Charming restaurant with delicious food
Excellent night out! The food was amazing. We’re going back next for brunch.
Away from the tourist crowd of the French Quarter, a fantastic farm-to-table restaurant with probably the best menu in all of New Orleans!
Very quiet with a simple yet beautiful decor; the service is warm and efficient without feeling rushed.
Menu is eclectic but there is something for everyone. Fantastic appetizers and deserts, but the real deal is in the middle (main course). Duck was probably the best I've ever had, and you will drool over the vegetable dish (if you are a vegan).
Do not miss this restaurant!
Had not been here in years and kept hearing rave reviews about the place and the new (to me) chef. Have been trying to get a reservation here for months and all of a sudden, it was no problem.
Found out the reason as I was trying to navigate my way there...Louisiana Avenue is a mess.
Still was worth the time and effort to get there. The food was good, but the waitstaff was
Now I can understand why it was always booked up.
Great food! One of my favorites! Can’t go wrong-no matter what you order!
Best meal in New Orleans. Interesting interpretations of local comfort foods. Fine service, accurate descriptions of portion sizes and customizing options; dishes delivered quickly despite a full house. Servers always aware and ready to respond from seating to exit.
A bit of a drive from where we were staying but OH SO WORTH IT! We had dinner at the bar staff was great food was amazing!
Atchafalya is a must whenever we're in town. And not just for the stellar Bloody Mary bar. The food is always delicious and the service exemplary. A must stop for brunch when in New Orleans!
The food was great. Service was very kind (our waiter was lovely) but overall a bit slow (OK, a lot slow). To be fair, it was Sunday brunch, which is busy. But they ran out of corn bread and we didn't get our drinks until after our mains.
BTW, the cornbread is off the hook, and the fried chicken -- as reported by my son -- was most excellent.
That said, the food was good and the server was kind and that is enough not to pick too many knits. I would definitely go back here again. Oh, and any band that plays "any major dude" while I'm eating makes everything better.
