Great food, service and value. Joe at the bar was great. He was friendly and hospitable and the FGTs with jumbo lump crab meat was fenomenal. Can’t wait to come back to NOLA and have brunch next time.

Quaint restaurant in a residential area. Great food. Service good but our waitress was a little short & not very friendly. Good wine list.

We found the perfect local restaurant away from busy Bourbon Street that features one of the best shrimp and grits dish. The cocktails were amazing and the staff was very friendly and helpful to us “Out-of-Towners”

Best shrimp and grits I’ve ever had in my entire life. Wish I would’ve ordered the chicken and biscuits instead of the duck hash after I saw it walk by!

Treated very well from the moment we entered the front door.

We were a party of 5 and each ordered different brunch item.

Items ordered included Eggs Treme, Low Country Benedict, Duck Hash, Chicken &
Biscuits, and Etouffee Omelette and shared the alligator Sausage.
Each dish was well seasoned and cooked correctly.
We were all pleased with our choices and all enjoyed the alligator sausage which we all shared.

Our server was attentive and checked the table while not being too often but there within reasonable time of needing assistance.

We went here for dinner and loved everything we ordered. Definitely get the ravioli appetizer! It was so good that we went back the next morning for brunch to try more of their dishes. The staff was also amazing at both meals. Would highly recommend!

A definite MUST restaurant to enjoy when in NOLA. The stuffed Beignet's were amazing and the staff so friendly and enjoyable. Our waiter suggested the perfect wine to go meal, Moulin -a-Vent. A special thank you to the nice gentleman from the bar staff who guided us to go for late music at Davenport- a perfect suggestion. We will be back

The shrimp &grits and ravioli were exceptional as were the desserts. The triple tail while good was somewhat dry and would have benefited from a sauce. Wines were reasonably priced and complemented the food A loud adjacent table was annoying.

Tucked away in warehouse district, but it is worth the trek if you’re visiting the area. Ambiance is fun and lovely. However we shared a smaller room with a large crowd who were a bit too raucous. Overall food was tasty (pork belly po boy was melt int your mouth yum).

Absolutely great dining experience! Only a few small complaints... crowded dining room. Much like you ceiling decor, I’d recommend more fabrics around the room and sound absorbing decor to help the noise level. Although I love the lighting I’d also recommend some table lights to make it easier for all to see the menu!! Other than that... I Loooooved it!!

My husband and I were very much looking forward to this restaurant because of all the great reviews. However, I was very disappointed with my meal. My husband enjoyed what he got (shrimp & grits with the fried green tomatoes starter) but he wasn’t blown away. My meal was a huge disappointment (chicken and sausage gumbo -which tasted burnt; and the grits with veggies). The “veggie” with my grits was mostly potatoes but the grits itself was good. Overall, I would not recommend this restaurant and will not be returning. There are so many better restaurants in New Orleans it’s a shame that we wasted a meal here.

We had a wonderful brunch here. The fried chicken and biscuits were absolutely amazing, and the bananas foster waffle was an over-the-top (in a good way) brunch dessert.

My wife and I finished a weekend trip in New Orleans with a brunch at Atchafalaya. What a great find!!!
First of all, it is located in the uptown area of New Orleans in a quaint neighborhood away from the masses of people found on Bourbon Street. When we arrived people were waiting outside for tables to open up (both indoors and outdoors) while listening to a live three piece band playing easy listening tunes. We were early for our reservation and went directly to the bar. We ordered a Bloody Mary and were given two tumblers with only vodka in them. We turned around and saw they had a "make your own Bloody Mary Bar set up. Every condiment possible was there including fresh garnish. Fantastic! The people, food, drinks made for a fun atmosphere and made the conclusion of our trip the best! Do not miss this establishment the next time you find yourselves in Na'wlins.
PS- we had the Duck Hash, Chicken Biscuits with Gravy and Sour Cream Grits with homemade sausage. Enjoy! We certainly did!

From locals who know their New Orleans restaurants well, Atchafalaya serves amazing food in an awesome setting. The food is spectacular -- tasty and inventive with just the right amount of Louisiana flavor. The service was spot on -- friendly and collegial, but knowledgeable, on-point, and not stuffy. The restaurant is in a converted creole cottage and has a great ambiance -- soaring ceilings, great soft lighting and artwork, and lots of historic details. A true neighborhood gem!

Fresh veggies and seafood with nuanced flavors. Perfectly dressed house salad with crispy yams and pear dressing; complex, intriguing combination of tastes in Beets in a Cloud; flaky Pompano; yummy seafood jubilee; and an assortment of savory breads. There was a little wait for the entree, but it came straight from pan to table--really hot! Definitely recommend.

Little bit pricey but the quality of food is super high. Some highbrow but approachable takes on New Orleans cuisine. Mostly everything is house made and tastes incredibly fresh. Highly recommend making a reservation, even if just for brunch. This place gets packed.

Enjoyed sharing a great dining experience with friends visiting NOLA from New Hampshire! The food was delicious and the setting was charming and comfortable! They enjoyed trying local dishes--gumbo, shrimp & grits and the crabmeat ravioli & fried green tomatoes were delicious with lots of lump crabmeat! The food, service and setting in an old home were wonderful!

Had a reservation with Open Table. Got to our table early. Immediately impressed with live Jazz band that was playing and Bloody Mary bar to right! Plenty of options to dress your drink to your liking.

Food was pretty good. My buddy enjoyed his Oyster Po Boy and potatoes. I had Low Contry Benedict. Loved the Alligator sausage and greens were phenomenal. Not a fan of the red beans and rice patty though.
Cream Cheese grits were amazing.

I would definitely go back!

One always feels welcomed at Atchafalaya. There was a short delay for our table, but we were escorted to the bar to wait . The bar is first rate; best French 75 I’ve had in NOLA. Service is good , although the kitchen was a bit slow. Menu is interesting and the food is excellent .
