At The Table is a New American Restaurant, located in the heart of the Main Line, offering a relaxed setting for those who love to dine. Owners/Chefs Tara and Alexander Hardy prepare modern, seasonal cuisine with a delightful presentation and outstanding simplicity.
At The Table is a BYOB with no corkage fee and we accept all forms of payment.

We offer an a la carte menu and a 6-course chef’s tasting menu nightly for $85 per person, as well as our 4 course Sunday Supper for $65 per person. **Please note** Our menu changes frequently. If you would like the most recent version of our menu sent to you by email, feel free to give us a call.

We are a small restaurant and have a wait-list available. Please call if a certain time is unavailable and we will do our best to accommodate you.

On and off-site catering services are also available.

the portions were really tiny. At first we thought that the beet salad had been split, because two of us said that we were sharing, but it was the entire salad. The scallop dish had only 2 small scallops--that's a first, I have never seen fewer than 3. Two of us had the duck, which we understood was prepared sous vides but we were promised that it would not be rare. One serving was rare, one was not.

Food was exceptional. Tasty, fresh, inventive, beautiful.
Such outstanding cuisine deserves a better atmosphere. The room is so cramped the well meaning servers are unable to do a good job. The tables are too small for the dishes and the acoustics made conversation almost impossible. We were unceremoniously rushed out for the next seating of diners waiting miserably outside.

This was our second week in a row dining here. Last week we ate a la carte and were so favorably impressed with the cuisine that we made a reservation to return and sample the tasting menu. The food preparation, taste and quality are excellent and meticulous. Having one’s own wines to match the courses adds positively to the experience. We had the same server as last week. Riley, and she was again skilled and pleasant. It was our feeling that the portions of each course were too small for a meal costing $85-100 each . We and our friends ate the courses as they were served and enjoyed them, not dawdling. We believed that a major mistake made in our meal occurred when just as the dessert was being served, Chef Alex dropped the check on our table before any of us had even started the final course or was offered tea or coffee. This is a small neighborhood restaurant relying on repeat business and word of mouth advertising. Rushing out new customers who were here two weeks in a row is bad business. We were offended by this and have lost our enthusiasm to return. Frankly we are not eager to spend $250 per couple on a meal and be hurried out the door. I realize that people may be waiting but that is the schedule that was inaccurately set by the restaurant and should not inconvenience diners arriving on time and enjoying their meals as served.

First do not miss this place. It is perfection. Chef Alex and his staff know how to make a dining experience THE dining experience. We had the Sunday 4 Course Tasting menu, though we were tempted by the entire menu. The sablefish with Caviar, yes Caviar had a generous amount of caviar not just a dollop. It was highlighted by horseradish creme and truffle powder. What an amazing combination. That was followed by foie gras and duck breast with mustard seeds and fig. Again, the mustard seeds popped in the mouth as did the caviar. Again a perfect combination yet all amazing on their own. I admit I did finish off the mustard seeds once the rest of the plate was gone. Venison with crisped beets followed that again a perfect combination. The Chef knows how to combine flavors and textures to create the most divine plates. The staff were so lovely and kind as well. We drove out from the city and will make the drive again. This place is soooooo worth it.

This was a very disappointing and costly experience that will NEVER be repeated. If you are not planning on ordering from the tasting menu I would totally skip this restaurant. My husband and I have dined at many fine restaurants throughout US and Europe and never have had such SMALL UNSATISFYING sized portions presented to us. The sizes would not even be considered starters in other restaurants. We just returned from a 3 week vacation in France and still have never had to leave a just as hungry as when we entered. We ordered off the a' la carte menu and were given portions equal to those that would normally be tasting menu size. The draw for people here is the BYOB and the bonus points as we soon found out with the table next to us who were also very disappointed. WE will never return here or suggest this place to anyone.

At our second visit, we had commented that we had expected some more time to finish our dinner before receiving the bill. To their credit, Chefs Alex and Tara promptly got in touch with us to express their regrets and to immediately invite us back as their guests for another dinner. We accepted their apology and offer, returning for another excellent meal and gracious service. We were given free choice on the dinner menu and enjoyed again their fabulous butternut squash soup along with some dishes we had not yet enjoyed. In addition to our ordered food, Tara served us some special tidbits which included tuna tartare with pea pods and a very special smoked sable with caviar. We very much appreciated the invitation to return, the delicious food and the sincere wishes expressed. Thank you ! We’ll be back.

We drive for an entire hour just to go here for date night. This is our favorite restaurant ever! Everything, every little detail, is ALWAYS perfect! Both of the chefs are absolute mastermind crazy scientists. They seriously know how to put flavors together and design a dish. Coming here is like coming to a good friend’s house and having them create a beautiful, stunning, seasonal menu just for you. BYOB so bring literally any wine, I promise it will pale in comparison to anything you order. Impeccable service, incredible ambiance, ingenious food.

This was our second time dining at Chef Alex's restaurant. We were eager to try out his newest dishes and ordered from both the rustic and tasting menus. Each dish was a delight. The flavors he creates and beautiful presentations make this restaurant a must! Chef Alex will make you feel as if you're his personal guest. The best of the best!

Very good dining experience. Food included foie gras, gnocchi, scallops and duck breast cooked just right. Alex, chef and host, was gracious and there to be sure we were having the best dinner. It all worked and we will return.

Superb dining — one of the best meals in greater Philadelphia.

The place is tiny but cozy. We were greeted by the chef/owner Eric, who explained the restaurant concept. He checked in with us throughout the meal, explaining the menu items, and discussing his passion for cooking.

That personal connection with the chef really enhanced a dining experience that would have stood on its own just based on the food. This was one of the best meals I’ve had in Philadelphia in the past year... and we were in Wayne. The food was fresh, the meals were inventive, and the plating was beautiful.

We dined at Vetri Cucina within a week of dining at At the Table. It wasn’t even close: the vibe, food, ambiance, and personal touch at At the Table blew Vetri away. And because it’s a BYOB the price is easy on the wallet for a first class meal.

Worth a trek out to the burbs.

Once more Chefs Tara and Alex shine. Did the a la carte menu tonight or (Chef Tara’s side). Felt comfortable and still respectful to the vision of the restaurant. Flavor was out of this world and I loved what they have been doing with the restaurant from new artwork to new menus... 5 stars chefs!!

On a side note... if you haven’t been to this restaurant and you love food or you just want to try something different. Don’t miss this place. Take the time, enjoy the meal, meet the chefs and go home satisfied and come back for the next meal

What a wonderful little restaurant in a friendly community. We enjoyed every single aspect from the fine attentive service, to the accommodations made to us with respect to menu options.
We really enjoyed the Spanish Octopus and 'Award Winning' seared Fois Gras. Both appetizers offered an amazing combination of flavors in a beautiful presentation.
The Pappardelle and the Seared Sea Scallops offered another delicious flavor profile.
Both the Black and White Bread Pudding and the Pumpkin Creme Brûlée were a perfect finish to perfect meal.

The mushroom toast was amazing as was the butternut squash soup. the main pappardelle was not listed as spicy but had just a touch too much crushed red pepper but the flavors over all were solid. Alex and his team were very inviting. would go again for sure

We made an early reservation. The food was outstanding but the service has been better on the past. I was disappointed. The servers were clearly racing around but they did not meet my normal expectations like refilling water glasses and picking up the credit card with the check. One entree was served a good ten minutes later than the other. We were never offered coffee. I don’t think that’s typical of this restaurant. But it happened

I have no idea why it took us so long to find this fit-for-foodies BYO in Wayne, but we dined there last evening and I've already made my next reservation. Chef Alex Hardy (I know his name because he came out of the kitchen and chatted with us for quite some time) is a culinary force to be reckoned with. He and his staff offer a creative, innovative menu (tasting and a la carte) that rivals the best restaurants in the city without being too pricey or over-the-top. We did the tasting menu and enjoyed every course. The lemon sole -- not Dover, lemon -- was so perfectly cooked and flavorful that my husband exclaimed that it may be the best fish he's ever had. And he's had a lot of fish at exceptionally good restaurants. Can't wait to go back.

Came here during restaurant week.
Fully expected mostly bang for your buck -esq value, left questioning If I should take a job in Philly to be able to eat here monthly.
You ever start a relationship with an inanimate object? Me neither, asking for a friend, who said they would marry this menu if given the option.
While the food could have easily been priced for three times as much as I paid, I would say the equally created value of my dining experience was provided by the executive chef and the service staff.
The service staff went out of their way to make sure I got to participate in the BYOB mission, while the chef sent out extra plates to ensure My heart was filled with happiness/fois gras.
I came alone to this meal, and didn’t feel that way for a second.
The music was also on point. I found it hard not to bop a little. Five stars.
I’d be surprised if this restaurant didn’t end up one of the best in Philly.
I am grateful I got to experience it ‘when’
