At The Table BYOB Ratings and Reviews
Went there last night to give it a try. It was amazing! One of the best meals we have had on the Main Line since we moved here 6 1/2 years ago. Nice, intimate setting. Very attentive and knowledgable waiter. But it's really the food that blew us away. All of it was outstanding but we particularly enjoyed the mushroom toast, which was an incredible mix of textures and tastes, and the seared foie gras appetizer, which was a revelation and expertly prepared. Highly recommended!
My husband and I eat out a few times a week and I can honestly say this is the best meal we have had in months. We tried the tasting menu and it was amazing, the mushroom toast , salmon and short ribs where to die for. I can not wait for an excuse to go back!
We went here for the first time with another couple and had a great time . The food was very good and lots of unique flavors. The chef also offered a couple of extras in between which was nice. The BYOB is a huge plus. I did find it pricey considering no alcohol was included. Having moved from NYC I would have paid this amount at a much more upscale trendy restaurant, so for me didn't necessarily feel the price fit the meal. But, I am new to the are, so who knows.
Overall service was EXCELLENT, Isaac our waiter was superb. I would recommend it to others, and I would def go back. Great for date night or few friends getting together.
Went here for our anniversary. Got the tasting menu. They were nice enough to substitute the fettuccine for the salmon, since I'm not a fish fan. Each course was a good size. We didn't leave completely stuffed, but nicely sated. Absolutely loved the burrata, tomato and melon, fettuccine, and the chocolate bread pudding! We also had a great waitress who played into my goofiness. I appreciate that!
We enjoyed our dinner at At the Table. The food was great. Each dish was well prepared, the ingredients were all fresh, and my mouth was happy. They gave us an amuse bouche to start, salmon nicely chopped with fresh vegetables. Our first dish was the mushroom toast, a bunch of different mushrooms I won't try to name, over toast. And the appetizer was foie gras, oh so melt in the mouth good. My friend had the duck confit, and I had the halibut. Both were wonderful - she cleaned her plate, but I held back, waiting for dessert. And dessert came through. Very creamy cheesecake, almost not cake at all, and a chocolate-nutty concoction that impressed my sweet tooth. I enjoyed every bite.
We were really impressed with the Food and overall dining experience at At the Table BYOB. The menu is relatively simple in terms of choices but very sophisticated and creative in execution. We had the heirloom tomato appetizer, Duck Confit and Pasta Carbonera as entrees and Chocolate Pecan pie for dessert. Everything was excellent! The Pasta in particular was wonderfully flavorful. We met the Chef and were impressed with his positive energy and that of everyone at the restaurant. At the Table wasn't very crowded on a Tuesday evening, but as the word gets out this will be a hot spot on the Main Line. Five Stars!!
My wife and I had a very good dinner at At The Table on Saturday night. I made a late reservation and chose to sit outside. There are 3 tables otuside and not a lot of ambiance otu there. My choice for outside was also a slight mistake on my part as I forgot to tell my wife and the mosquitos bothered her throughout the meal. The restaurant nicely offered to move us inside closer to having dessert but we elected to remain outside. I would recommend indoor seating, if at all possible. The restaurant's small menu (3 flatbreads, 3 appetizers and 4 entrees) actually made it easy to decide although I was told that my choice of the evening's special entree, the short ribs, was sold out. We had a very tasty mushroom flatbread appetizer along with a salad each (asparagus salad and tomato / cheese salad). The salads were both excellent and beautifully prepared and served. For dinner, I had salmon and my wife had a portion of the duck as well as the halibut. Of the 3, the duck entree was probably the most enjoyed. And finally, for dessert, we had a chocolate pecan pie which was delicious. Nice of the owner to stop by and spend some time chatting. Overall, a very enjoyable evening and with the BYOB option, it was even nicer.
I hadn't heard of this restaurant, but I love wine and food and prefer to BYOB whenever possible. This was an amazing find. Thanks Open Table once again! The mushroom toast was TO-DIE for, fois Gras amazing, 2 friends had pasta carbonara and loved it (but didn't share with me...), and I had braised short ribs with cipionni mushrooms that was delicious. The dessert, which I rarely order, was a chocolate bread pudding that rivaled Commander's Palace bread pudding soufflé.
Highly, highly recommend.
This was my first experience at the Table and so we asked a lot of questions, additionally my friend does not eat beef, pork or chicken. So needless to say we were a little bit of a pain trying to figure out what to order. Our server was wonderful, accommodating and patient. THANK YOU. As far as the food, the mushroom toast was to DIE for. I could have order at least 3 more servings.. lol. The Burrata and tomato salad was also spectacular, we also tried the shaved asparagus salad which seemed bland and could have used a little more flavor, it could have also been we ate the Burrata and tomato salad first which was full of flavor. The short ribs were SPECTACULAR, the salmon was tasty but a little dry and cooked too long. Our table was very quiet as we sat outside farthest from the air conditioning unit so had a wonderful time of catching up. Needless to say I we will definitely be back as this is for sure a secret gem.
Excellent food, extremely well prepared. From reviews I read before, I would say that the value is extremely good. Dining room is very loud, but fixes a bit of privacy. Only real complaint was serving salmon tartar on a warm spoon. But I have no right to that as this dish was complimentary. Will definitely come back.
One of the best dining experiences we've had in Philadelphia in a while. The menu was creative but not over the top, the chefs do an excellent job of executing flavors and technique without over powering the dishes, and letting the food stand on their own. Definitely will be back.
They ran out of a couple of their menu items, which is odd since the menu is extremely limited to begin with. Also, I asked for coffee at the end of the meal, but the ran out of creamer. This is really inexcusable. The waiter was very apologetic (and embarrassed) that they were running out of seemingly everything we asked for. The food was generally OK, but based on this experience, I wouldn't rush back.
This is our new favorite local BYOB spot. We've been twice now. The staff is very warm and friendly and the food is superb. If you like well crafted food and are willing to pay for very interesting tasting, beautifully plated food then this is a great place to go. We've been twice and both times they have been great with dietary restrictions as well. It's charming, casual enough to walk in (if you can get in!) but also a great place to take visiting friends and relatives or for a special night out or date. The Wayne area needed a place like this. We'll keep going back for sure.
Excellent food and attentive service . beautiful presentation. I was extremely pleased. I wish that the portions were slightly larger. I agree with previous reviews that said not show up hungry.
I had the buratta salad, arctic char and the white chocolate mousse for dessert. the noise level was higher than ideal-had some difficulty hearing my friend who was across the table.
Overall, very high level dining-will definitely return!
My wife and I have been to At The Table 4 times in the past 3 months...each meal has been absolutely outstanding. The menu is constantly updating to fresh ingredients that are available. The dishes are truly unique and the presentation is tremendous. At The Table offers great twists on true "fusion" food.
A very nice experience. The only reason food is rated lower than excellent is that the plates are small and expensive. No vegetable of any quantity served with the main course. My husband had to go home and eat after dinner. And he's not a big eater.
Great food. Got lucky as we were served by the chef and got the inside thinking to the eclectic food. Definitely great food and new take on dishes. Hard to find such a place in the burbs. We are lucky to have this great BYOB. Can't wait to try it again as the food will change with available ingredients.
We had a lovely dinner at To the Table for a birthday celebration. It felt like a center city BYOB out in the suburbs. The food was thoughtfully and creatively prepared. We're excited that they change the menu so frequently, can't wait to return!
Lovely little place in Wayne. Service
was excellent as was the food. Portions small considering the prices are very high. Our food was over salted. I mentioned the over salting and the next course also came out over salted.
Either reduce the prices or increase the portions.
We wish them good luck but they need to make a few adjustments .
The food was very good, but I could only give 3 stars because there isn't much that comes out on the plates. The waiter told my group that the garden salad had 25 ingredients so we assumed that it would be large and ordered two for three people. Honestly the two would have been just right for one person. There was also this same problem with the sea bass entree. You basically got a small piece of fish on the plate and not much else. No bread or rolls were served which might have helped stave off hunger. The wait staff was attentive and the place is small so noise isn't much of a problem. Just don't go hungry .
