Best sushi I’ve ever had. We love Chef Kenkichi and all of the attentive staff!
Waitress ordered the wrong beef dish for my wife. She pointed to the "Japanese Beef" @ $15. She brought Waygu beef but never said anything. @ $65. Clearly their mistake. Their retort was "you ate it so you must pay for it"! My wife thought it was good but never knew it was Waygu. Manager kept arguing with us but finally relented to reduce the charge. Handled so poorly by waitress and manager. Will never go back after that treatment.
One of our favorite places. The sushi is incredible
Excellent sushi, high quality fish and always consistent.
Asuka is a fantastic dining experience, if you are new you receive a tutorial of the food and origin. They make you feel special in full house..... the quality of the Sushi is next to none.... you will know the difference immediately, the first bite will let you know you have arrived!!!
Fish was delicious and service was excellent. Portions were small and menu was pricey. Ambiance plain and unimaginative. Management engaging and upbeat.
Asuka has returned from 20 years ago! The entire meal was Fabulous. The quality of food was of the highest , very fresh as if straight from the sea and was presented beautifully. The menu is extensive with traditional Japanese offerings and many more unusual selections.
The ambiance is sophisticated and yet welcoming. The owner is a delight especially since he retains his graciousness we remembered from so long ago!
Very pleasant restaurant, the sushi was very good, the waygu beef was delicious. Service was very attentive. Looking forward to going again
The food was terrible . The worst part was costing for the two of us ~$500.
We sat at the Sushi bar. Food was incredible. Fish and presentation were impeccable. We will definitely be back.
Went there for years, before they moved......used to be a consistent, neighborhood sushi spot, with quality food. Sadly........it isn't anymore. Food was mediocre at best. Tuna sashimi had sauce on it???? Hand rolls looked like they were half full, only dish OK was the rock shrimp. Tempura was 4 pieces with no shrimp, we were informed that it would be too expensive to have shrimp in their tempura at any price. Too pricey for what it is.
Absolutely delicious. I LOVE SUSHI. If you do too, you will not be disappointed on any level. Very fresh, assorted and wonderful.
Say at the bar and not in the dining room as it was a bit too dimly lit for my liking. Ordered the omikaze and it was all delicious. The service was extremely friendly and attentive and a nice part of the good experience. It’s not cheap, but a really enjoyable dining experience.
Worth spending money there. Don't be afraid spending there. Trust their recommendation.
Excellent in all respect. Food was superior and the service was outstanding for our party of 7.
The fish was fresh and delicious!
Among the best sushi restaurants in town at
A reasonable price. Most of their fish is imported from Japan and you only find it at the finest sushi restaurants.
The food was incredible; the service was impeccable. We did one of the fixed price meals and it was superb in every way. The sushi was some of the best ever, and the visit and description by the owner made it very special. If you haven't been here and love fresh, authentic sushi and Japanese food, you simply must try it!
Chef Ken san never disappoints !!!
The sushi was great! (I would avoid the cooked salmon...a bit too dry.)
The most expensive meal we have ever had at a sushi bar...& it was just lunch!
We returned the octopus that was more salt than octopus.
We will never return
Vincent was a great host and the wait staff were very friendly and helpful. Sushi was AMAZING!!!
We wanted something different to celebrate a family event. This Japanese restaurant got very good ratings, including for the Chef’s “special meals”. We ordered the medium priced one, and were not disappointed — we had at least a dozen small courses including, but not limited to, shellfish, sashimi, sushi, duck, tofu. miso, and an adaptive green tea tiramisu. of course they have a la carte entrees as well, but it was fun having the manager choose for us and explain each dish as it arrived. Definitely recommend!
Amazing tofu! Must try it yourself words aren’t good enough to describe the excellent food.
They have the finest fresh fish, all of which is delicious. All in our party were delighted with the food and service. Highly recommended.
This restaurant is astonishingly good. Very old school Japanese. I never see my foodie boyfriend feel so satisfying about the food like in this restaurant. Definitely will come back again to try other things on the menu!
High quality. One of the few places that have REAL wasabi. Owner works the door and is very involved- been running the operation since 1974. Recently moved locations
Amazing Sushi, great service and a beautiful restaurant. It was an excellent evening. Felt like we got our money's worth. This is the same restaurant that was next to the Crest Theater but turned up to 11. Had a great visit with Vincent (the original owner of Asuka). We can't recommend this restaurant any more. It's a must try.
Very tasty variety of Japanese dishes and excellent sashimi.
Unbearable loud. I read the reviews and didn’t think it would be an issue but boy was I wrong
Perfectly wonderful..excellent service...great food and good ambiance
Wonderful restaurant with delicious and fresh seafood/sushi. The only problem is, the service was so slow.
Unfortunately I couldn’t understand the waitress. Her English could be better
This gourmet Japanese restaurant is excellent. Not much in the way of usual Japanese dining but what there is is unusual and delicious. Well prepared and tasty. A bit on the pricey side but worth it.
When arriving to the restaurant, the hostesses advised they did not accept reservations. I said I booked on Opentable and they said they would put us on the waiting list. They couldn’t have cared less. Service was sub-par.
Had an outstanding evening. Delicious sushi and great service.
We had the Prix fix dinner for $80 per person. This was the middle option. The lowest was $65 and the highest was $150 each. It had an appetizer, sashimi, sushi and dessert. While the food was fresh and delicious, although it sounds like a lot, we were still a little bit hungry when we left. The portions were small. I think one more cut sushi roll or one more small entre would be great. Or even a bowl of rice may have made a difference. I will probably comeback and try lunch but I will order ala carte. The owner was nice. He came and said hello.
The lighting was terrible. The noise was unbearable. But the food was fantastic. I would want to try sitting at the sushi bar if I went back. I would never sit in the dining room again. A shame as the food was pretty good.
Great food and service
This is the best sushi I’ve had in my life. Authentic, simple, absolutely fantastic. The owner Vincent is truly incredible.
