Agree we with other reviews... food is very basic and not exceptional... overpriced for sure... service was mixed... that being said, rooftop ambiance, music, crowd, and city views are very good.
I had reserved notifying that we were celebrating a birthday and nothing was done. The overall experience was great and the view was awesome!
I wish I could give this place negative stars. This was the worst dining experience of my life.
Food - half the menu was unavailable. Literally couldn’t order 3 drinks and 3 dishes because they didn’t have it. You couldn’t order anything to add onto a dish (like can’t avocado to a salad).
Then we ordered a $24 salad which was literally a head of butter lettuce on a plate with MAYBE two apple slices. It was so alarming we asked to speak to the manager considering it was the most expensive food dish on the table.
When we told him it was kinda crazy it was $24 and they wouldn’t even add avocado he said “if I take it off your bill I’m taking it off the table.” I don’t think this restaurant would know what client service meant if it hit them in the face.
Literally, do not go here. Save $200 and eat hummus and pita bread at home.
literally the majority of the menu was unavailable. Only reason to go is for the atmosphere. Expect to leave hungry and mad!
Los cocteles me dejaron decepcionada, esperaba mas calidad teniendo en cuenta el precio y la experiencia que ofrece el lugar
The food was underwhelming, under-seasoned and extremely overpriced. I ordered the Spanakopita $18, Astra Salata $24, Grilled Vegetarian Plate $22 and left hungry.
The service can improve—especially if paying at this price. It took too long to place our order, she forgot one of our drinks, and then the second round of drinks took too long to come out.
We also got our photos taken which was followed by someone trying to sell us a framed photo. This was extremely unusual and awkward—I’ve NEVER experienced this in Miami. Gave a very touristy and off-putting vibe!
Was excited about the hype, the location, and the sunset, but was exceedingly disappointed with the food and the service. Won’t be coming back.
We had a great time at Astra. Everything, from the service to the food was excellent. Their in-house photographer is such great touch!
So expensive for food quality. You’re paying for the atmosphere, but boy is it a cool vibe
Had reservations for lunch at 3pm, got there at 2:50pm. Waited by the hostess area and no one helped us. Had to ask the bartender, even though she had seen me standing there for a while, and she told us to sit anywhere...we sat down and it took one of us to flag someone down after 10 mins in order to get them to wait on us. There was one other table there so they were not at all busy... we ordered lemonade to drink, it was disgusting...it then took a while before the waiter came back to get our order... ordered, got the food, then never saw the guy again for probably 20-30 mins...he came over gave us one check, which we wanted all separate, and it took another 10 mins to get him to come back to split the checks...took another 10 mins for him to give us the receipts to sign and he had an attitude when he came back. Would not ever go back!!
Horrible drinks , the service very bad , the chairs very uncomfortable
At first we didn’t have a nice welcome and there was a problem getting situated but the manager Eddie was incredibly helpful and gave us a very nice table and the waiter was very kind and attentive.
Service was terrible! Girls working there care more about modeling their super short skirts than providing a good service to customers. Our server never came back to our table to check if we needed anything. She forgot to bring glasses for water and forks for our food.
It’s always fun here! The servers are súper friendly and the food and drinks is exquisite. But I come here specially for the music, súper cool
Very beautiful scenery and plenty of places to take cute pictures
The atmosphere / view was awesome. The food we ordered was great however m, we order Prosecco and it was hot and in a plastic flute. The flutes are way due for new ones to be ordered. We complained about The Prosecco being hot and the waiter asked if we wanted ice. Ice? Really!? So we ordered another round and it was also hot so we didn’t drink it but still was on the bill.
Made a reservation for brunch. We arrived and they said they don’t have brunch.
Perfect place to eat with a view and the food was delicious
This was literally the worst dinner experience we have ever had. All four of us sent back out food as it was not edible and the staff argued about taking it back. Horrible.
Worst place in Miami - 0/10 would recommend!
Poor service and under friendly wait staff
Steak had to be returned because it was over cooked and took approximately 45 minutes to get a new steak.
A good note, my salmon was the best I’ve ever had.
Atmosphere was great!
Chairs were dirty. Table was sticky. Food was salty. Service was poor.
Went here for my birthday on March 28th and had the worst experience unfortunately. I had a party of 6 and all of our food came out at different times... I meant 15-20 minutes apart each plate.
That is not how dinner should be served
Our waiter was helpful but he was very overworked and booked. The manager did not even come over to apologize for all the mishaps, he was very uncaring.
The atmosphere was nice, but definitely not worth the burden and frustration my party endured during our visit.
Astra has an amazing vibe! A must go for anyone visiting Miami
Food was low quality
Servers were overwhelmed— they were trying but they have too many tables.
Restaurant ran out of things and the bar ran out of tequila along with other things including bottled water.
The management needs to make improvements
The music was fantastic!
great view, poor service. but the sunset is beautiful
Terrible service! The servers do not care & do not fix the problems that arise. Their tip is already factored in, so they do the absolute bare minimum. Food was decent- chicken very dry. The atmosphere was great & that’s about it!
Horrible service, very small but expensive plates. Not worth the visit. Very disappointed.
Overall Astra is an experience! The rooftop is right at the beginning of Wynwood on 20th so on one side you have views of residences and on the other there’s the bustling Wynwood Main Street of NE 2nd St. Because of its location, alllll the noises from below can be heard (cars, blaring music, etc). However! The restaurant does have music playing to counteract so the ambiance is definitely there. The entire set up & decor are very light, airy & open. We order the oysters, octopus and Greek fries - all the food was quite tasty! Hiiiighly recommend the Kiss My Coco if you enjoy sweet drinks - it’s almost like a pina colada. The mojito wasn’t the best. The menu is a bit pricey, but considering the location & quality of the food it’s worth it for a nice brunch or date night!
We were a group of 7 with a 12:30 reservation. We were seated promptly which was nice. Ambiance was great and comfy. The drinks were tasty so I'll probably come back for the sunset mood and drinks. While ordering the food we were told many meals in the brunch menu were not available so they were very limited since they were only serving brunch menu. The food took quite a while to be served which was a bit surprising since they were not full at all. My scrambled egg were over cooked, others ordered eggs benedict and they really liked them. My husband ordered the ribeye and was way under cooked which they took back. Overall nice experience just the food isn't up to par for what they charge. Our waiter was very patient and friendly with us.
Amazing place, food and vibe. Will definitely come back here multiple times.
We had a great time
Loved the ambiance and can’t wait to go back. Love their reservation system.
We were literally asked to leave. Apparently we could only have the table for 1.5 hrs (max 2hrs on weekdays). The waiter was so pushy in having me and my friend order from the moment we arrived. Obviously the more tables he waits on the more tips jr earns!!! I get it.
Whatever you do, be warned that their fish is $90!! And it was cold when it got to us!!!
Toward the end, the waiter told us pretty much our time was up despite there being a bunch of empty tables, saying that we were a “low budget table”! How could we be a low budget table if it came to $115 PER HEAD. And of course the tip was already included. We could not modify it. We was outraged!!!!
The music and ambiance was great. The food was ok in taste and not warm enough. Overall enjoyed... minus a big cigar smoker and spring break crowd
We were looking forward to drinks/dinner at Astra. The space is nice and open, however, the service was not good. We had to ask multiple times for the waitress to bring us more water, order drinks, and even had to ask for a plate, utensils and napkins when they brought a dessert to share. She was giving us attitude and even then the tip was included in the check. They were disorganized and had different waiters come to our table about different things, that we had to repeat ourselves often. The food is mediocre and overpriced for what it is.
This is a Mediterranean restaurant, how do you run out of lamb chops at 7pm? On top of not having the lamb chops, it is not told to anyone including the server even when she enters the order. So my wife's meal arrives and they bring me nothing!!! This is with having a $547.00 check. The manager final offers to get me something to eat, but by now my wife has finished her meal. They at least didn't charge for the late meal brought to me, but did not offer any thing else to make the situation better, so even with my meal off, my check was $547.00.
This was not the servers fault and the atmosphere is very nice. The food that I did have was very good, but the customer service from management was horrible and obviously I was not being cheap. When you have a customer spending that much money, I suggest you provide better customer service. Because of managements disregard for the situation and lack of customer respect, I would not recommend Astra as a high end dining experience. If you go, plan on spending a lot of money and not getting the value at all. I would go to Juvia or WATR instead for a better roof top experience.
Super fun spot in the Design District neighborhood. Every aspect of the rooftop was beautiful.
Actually every was awesome, but I did not felt comfortable with the wine glasses (water glasses too) they (absolutely all of them
Drinks and vibes are always good here but some menu items are left to be desired. Add other Mediterranean items or change the menu completely
I would recommend this place for the ambience and the delicious tuna tatar.
