   20 Euros for what we mistook for a mise en bouche was ridiculous. Then a 'main course which seemed to be almost entirely black eye peas was the veritable straw. Very poor on the whole.

   Very mediocre food for 5 star hotel with high price point. Dry aged steak barely 1/2 inch thick and tough. Seafood rice for 2 very salty without much seafood to share for 2, 4 prawns and 2 bites grouper and few mussels for 80 euros! Service very slow, had to ask for silverware for entrees, had to ask for check after very long wait and restaurant not very full. I definitely would not recommend!

   It is hard to just walk into a restaurant in Porto and get a table. So we were all the more frustrated when we showed up at Astoria and were told they had no record of our reservation. And were only seating hotel guests, sorry. OpenTable doesn’t really work in Porto.

   Had free dinner for 2 with my accommodations which they limited to 35 euro.l which is inadequate. Menu on the internet not up to date either.

   A nice meal, but very pricey as it wants to be more than it is. Service was shockingly slow, even by European standards. The restaurant is located in the intercontinental hotel, so you know things are nice, but it really underdelivered for the type of higher end place it wants to be. Food was fine but can’t really even remember what we had. My wife says I’m being too kind, and maybe I am. I would only go back if I was really desperate to find anything to eat.
