Fresh, creative cuisine, with a menu that changes seasonally. Always interesting and unusual combinations of ingredients. Delicious tomato toast, and Korean bulgogi beef, and salmon. Highly recommended.

I love this place. I enjoy the attention to detail on every dish and the menu that changes with the season. I feel vegetables are an afterthought at a lot of places, and this is a place that highlights delicious flavors and textures that can be had from them. It is also a place that does fish well and makes interesting meat dishes - all the duck dishes, the Wednesday specials, the chicken liver pate are some of my favorites. The wine list is well curated and the cocktails are always fun and inventive. I am so glad this place exists in my town.

Food is very good, but it seems not as refined as before. Service was wonderful. We sat outside, which is better than inside. You go to Aster for the creative dishes and the chef doesn’t disappoint. But we’ve experience better, and not by a small margin. Nonetheless, still very much recommended.

Our first time...impressed with unusual menu options and quality/freshness of food preparation. Truly enjoyed out of the ordinary style of dishes. Great choice of dinner music. Nice distance between tables, didn't feel crowded. Great service. Will definitely be back!

The service has always been great. The second time I came here they remembered my allergy! What?! The menu rotates and focuses on seasonal items and sustainably. Nothing else like it in Midland. Owner was very welcoming.

We ate at Aster for the first time Saturday. I had been intrigued by its ads on FB for a long time. When our granddaughter flew in, it gave us the perfect excuse to try it. We had squash soup, beet salad, and hush puppies for appetizers, all 3 of us had bison stroganoff, and we had chocolate mousse topped with a thin layer of caramel infused miso for dessert. The results were absolutely outstanding. Somehow, the chef created a taste experience from these not too uncommon dishes that were incomparable in texture and subtle flavors. Our waitstaff were friendly, attentive, and accommodating. The ambience was warm and a bit funky. Altogether, we had a wonderful time at Aster!

Enjoyable Sunday brunch. Food was fine and service was attentive. I think they could spice up the menu a little as it’s been unchanged for quite some time and Cafe Zinc have refreshed theirs.

We had dinner for two at Aster. The boneless chicken and mushroom risotto were excellent. The King Kong on the rocks was also excellent. Portion size was good. It was busy and a bit noisy. Would recommend!

Steak done correctly, tender and tasteless. Korean landlord's only taste was dough. Stroganoff bland and nearly meatless. Scallops were only 4 with several green leaves for $30. Table by the window is the only acceptable table. All in all a disappointment.

Excellent butternut soup. Loved the mushroom risotto. The cow au vin is so very delicious. We will return. Also liked being able to take the bottle of wine we did not finish. Would love to see desserts that can be taken to go.

The food was great, nothing was over cooked or weird tasted. Portion sizes were good as well. I would totally recommend for a casual night out with friends or as a date. Would visit again!

Best food in midland but the music was loud head banging. They need to decide who they are. I vote for casual fine dining. You can play cool music but not loud and jarring if you want to attract the crowd who can afford this delicious food
