Assembly is our late night, village Bar & Bistro in the heart of Low Bradfield, working the evening shift on behalf of The Schoolrooms! We also now serve Sunday roasts!

    Lovely Sunday dinner with friends. Staff were attentive and friendly. Delicious food. Our late guest was accommodated without fuss. Would definitely recommend.

    A lovely birthday meal for my wife. The food was delicious and was served brilliantly by Maddie. Would definitely recommend Assembly Bar & Bistro. Excellent standard.

    Ate from the Supper menu which is a smaller menu. Ordered started, mains and dessert. Starters ranged from the beef Yorkshire pudding which was delicious, beef was so tender and flavourful. Another was the french onion soup. All very good portion sizes. Mains ranged from steak and ale pie & fish and chips. Again all very generous portion sizes. Chips were perfectly cooked. Meat in the pie was again super tender and juicy. The batter on the fish was so light and crunchy, the fish super white and again flavourful. Desserts were sticky toffee pudding, rice pudding and lemon posset. All executed amazingly. All good portions, good value for money.

    Love The Schools Rooms been twice for Supper Club and to the cafe many times and Sunday Lunch. The decor, food and staff are always wonderful. I highly recommend a visit.

    This was our second visit to try the Sunday roast after a very impressive Supper club visit a few weeks earlier. We wanted to treat our friends who were visiting from Norfolk so we made the 1hr drive to the Schoolrooms on Easter Sunday to sample the wonderful food on offer at the Assembly. Needless to say it was well worth it. We were all amazed and delighted by the portion size of the starters, especially the smoked salmon which was delicious. The roasts were equally delightful, good portion size, plenty of gravy in a surprisingly small little rotund jug each, but for me the star was the roast potatoes… perfection! Then to finish off I made a cheeky request for the dessert I’d had on our previous visit not included in the lunch menu, their homemade rice pudding and of course the fabulous service of this establishment didn’t disappoint, so much to my delight my meal was completed by my favourite dessert! Thank you for a wonderful & memorable experience. The waiting staff, the chefs, the food, the building & ambience are all 5 star* so why wouldn’t you do a 2hr round trip to come here?! See you again soon.
