Disappointed. It was a Friday night and the room was very loud. It was to the point of being disturbing. All three of our dishes were very salty. And my special fish dish was $38 for a too salty fish with mashed potatoes and brocoli. Not worth the value. Would not go back. Would not recommend.
Absolutely loved the pasta sampler!!!!!!!
I have been to Assaggio before as business casual but never in DRAG so I thought I would take a chance. The first host that greeted me looked somewhat shocked but a the other host rescued him and greeted me enthusiastically pronouns correct. I was definitely overdressed compared to most of the women their so possibly the 1st guy was overwhelmed. The younger gentleman seated me in the front dining room with a view of the bar and people entering at a nice table. My waiter was very attentive and proficient attending to my needs. The ambiance is truly authentic Italian and reminded my of the places we dined in Venice.
I just returned from Italy less than a month ago and was still in the mood for Italian Food so I ordered the Caprese salad. It was presented with 3 large slices of tomato covered by a basil leaf followed by the Mozzarella cheese. The plating was very impressive with the tomato and mozzarella almost equal sized and the basil protruding slightly above. It was awesome and the cheese was aged perfectly. I selected the Veal Saltimbocca for my main dish and although the flavor was great the prosciutto was a little overdone but, the veal was great. The meat was sliced thin so tricky to cook especially at 8:30 on a Saturday night. I will definitely go back and order something more suited for a busy night. Maybe Calamari Fritti
When I left the owner Mauro reached out to me and inquired as to how everything was and if I enjoyed my meal. I was tempted to tell him that I was just a few miles from Ancona where he grew up but he was talking with some pretty ladies and I did not wish to interrupt.
I would definitely recommend Assaggio to anyone wanting genuine Italian food.
Assaggio is always amazing. And the staff and owner are very friendly
Our party of six recently celebrated my sister's 50th birthday at Assiaggio and had a great time from start to finish. The food, atmosphere and wait staff were super. The restaurant owner checked on us and wished my sister happy birthday at the start and finish of our meal. We would have stayed longer, but we had been partying ALL day and as my 92 year old mother was in our party, had to call it an early night -otherwise we would have stayed on and ordered more and more of their delicious foods!!
Very quiet for our lunch with new friends. Have eaten dinner here as well and volume is what you would expect of a busy restaurant.
Mauro and his team never fail to bring together a great menu and experience for my business guests. I enjoy the vibrant atmosphere and incredible food which is why I always return to this gem. The service is always attentive and spot on with their recommendations.
Assagio's is a restaurant where you can always count on good food and good service. It is a very pretty restaurant where you feel special.
OMG, What a gem. How did I not find them sooner. Food was great Traditional Roman Italian with some flare. Diverse menu for the palate and across the ages, kids to teens to adults. The ambiance is appealing in its detailing as Romanesque. The Staff was very helpful and accommodating with patience and requests. Sorry we could not stay longer but will return for another meal as we are planning this now. Mauro is the king and thank you for the cook book.
Have been coming to Assaggio for 25 years since it first opened and have know Mauro for all that time. I live in Atlanta, but always come here when I need town.
Happy Anniversary to you, Mauro.
For an Italian Restaurant to have the Best Beef Tenderloin I have ever had says a lot
We had a good meal with great service. Not a place to go for a conversation! Way too noisy ! But it was packed and people were enjoying themselves !
This is a very good restaurant that we have been going to for years.
We were a party 4 on a Saturday Night. We were seated promptly. As we were seated the bus boy came by and started to fill our glasses with water. I told him to stop after the first glass as we were going to order a bottle of sparkling water. He proceeded to pour all four glasses. When our waiter came I told him what had happened and ordered a bottle of sparkling water. We all got new glasses while we were having a conversation amongst ourselves we did not stop the bus boy in time as he filled our 2 glasses of sparkling water with regular water. We caught our waiters eye and told him what had just happened. He offered to replace the bottle and we told him that we had more in the bottle just get us 2 new glasses. We order 2 appetisers to share, 3 featured trio of pastas and one Lasagna and a bottle of wine. We got our dinners and noticed that there was an odd taste to the Lasagna and a couple of the other pasta dishes. We notified the waiter that we were not liking the flavour (tasted like a Christmas dessert, banana bread or ginger bread cookies, it was very strong) and asked what spices were in the sauce. We were told a whole bunch of spices and one being nutmeg!!!!! Needless to say we were unable to eat most of our dinner and only ate the pastas that weren't desserts and left the rest. Upon receiving the bill ($320.00) I would have thought that at least they would have removed the charge for the sparkling water, BUT NOOOOOO we had a 20% Gratuity charge applied to our tab!!!! For what service???????? The wine was very good!!!!
Everything was wonderful!!
Everything was wonderful. We sat in the bar to begin and the very busy bartender mangaed to be friendly and share some liquor information and some jokes with us.
In the dining room, our server was very attentive to the time with which we were eating so the courses came out perfectly timed.
I thought the food was fine, the bartender was great while we waited for our table, but the whole restaurant seemed to be in the weeds. Somehow our food came out with blazing speed after we finally ordered, which always makes me wonder how freshly it has been cooked.
It's fine, but the prices seemed high for the quality when there are a number of restaurants within a few blocks at the same price point.
From the moment we arrived and were greeted by the Maitre D and affable owner our evening was wonderful. Excellent food and service. Truly a gem in downtown Seattle!
Beautiful restaurant! Better for a date night and not a group.
Consistently great food and warm, welcoming ambiance. Mauro rocks.
Great for groups with fantastic service. Took 12 and they didn’t disappoint. We all enjoyed the restaurant.
As always. Great experience.
Our favorite restaurant for many reasons - mainly Mauro!
The atmosphere and food were wonderful. Our server was a bit condescending and aloof. The owner was there and was quite friendly and checked on us. Overall, a nice place.
Owner (Moro) is an excellent host and always make me feel welcome. Place would not be the same without this great owner.
The Food! The Food! The Food! It is wonderful. Has a neighborhood feel, even though in the center of the City. I bring my Italian food snobs to this restaurant, and they always walk away satisfied. Love this place.
Excellent Italian restaurant with good food and service.
Mauro is the best host in the city. I love this place.
Really delicious meal here - had one of the specials, absolutely divine. Great place, would definitely return!
Food was very good. Drinks took a long time coming.
Ordered Veal Satimboca. Came with one "skimpy" veal cutlet at a cost of $27. Way overpriced compared to my favorite Italian restaurants inFt. Lauderdale.
Armando was the best! The service made the excellent food even better.
The food was awesome and the wait staff was fantastic
Amazing food and excellent service. The salmon was outstanding, the best I have ever had. The pasta sampler was also superb. It was nice to be able to enjoy three different tastes. This is a great restaurant. They treat you like you are in their home. Cocktails we perfect and the wine selection was impressive. We will be back soon!
Outstanding dining experience with great wine list and home style Italian dishes.
The restaurant was crowded with families enjoying good food. We were pleased to be able to order half sized main dishes great for smaller appetites. Service was friendly. Our waiter shook our hands as we were leaving and the owner thanked us for coming. Highly recommend this for people looking for very good home cooked Italian food.
We had a great dinner! The pasta was amazing! Will be back soon!
Show at the Moore
Excellent! The food was suburb. Staff was extremely polite and everyone thanked us as we left.
