Gnocchi Con Gorgonzola
housemade ricotta gnocchi with toasted walnuts and gorgonzola cream sauce
Panzanella Bread Salad
Food was very good and staff very friendly. Wine was very expensive and cocktails seemed to have watered booze.
One of the best restaurants in seattle. Bar none. Food is awesome, owner is a blast and very active with the guests.
We had another fantastic meal at Assagio. The food, the ambience & the service was great! Our waiter was delightful, Mauro was as charming as ever. A truly wonderful evening.
I heard that they had the best Italian in Seattle and I was not disappointed. Everything from the atmosphere and menu to the staff and food took me back to Italy. The server MADE sweet tea for us. The Risotto was fantastic as well as the Beef. Great experience for us.
One of our favorite places to dine. We come every time we fly in from Austin. Always a treat!
What a terrific meal. We enjoyed the chicken Marsala, real baked eggplant parm, and spaghetti Bolognese. Our server was wonderful. Would absolutely return, but we live in Va.
Amazing as usual. This is my favorite Seattle Restaurant. Every time we are in town, this is a must. Great food, great service, so friendly. Outside dining was extra special last night. See you in August when we’re back in town.
Stellar customer service! Food was excellent! Great atmosphere!
We made reservations for my daughters Birthday. And even though they didn’t have a highchair for her son, they gave us a space with plenty of room for his stroller. They have the best hostess I’ve encountered in a long time. She really wanted to make sure that we were having a good time and that our table was comfortable for everyone. Major kudos to the whole team.
Food was excellent and so neat to meet the owner! Definitely will return!
All of the staff were very sweet. Many people from the brig came in just to say hello to the owner. Such a pleasant and welcoming atmosphere!
Amazing food, and service. The owner welcomed us and gave goodbye both. Only issues were crowding. Felt like we were on top of each other (other people) which made it loud. However i would absolutely go there again.
You can tell this is a neighborhood favorite. Lots of locals which is great to see when you are visiting a city. Service was great and the owner is amazing. Very personable and treats everyone like family. Food was really good. Fresh ingredients and big portions. Highly recommend this restaurant.
Will go back as often as possible! Delicious and perfectly prepared food. Love the tender and wonderfully flavored Osso Bucco. Mauro (owner/chef) shares his warmth and joy with all.
The dinner salads were very good with lots of ingredients. The main courses less than steller, steamed brocoli and runny mash potatoes as a way to fill a plate are not acceptable for good main entries.
Love this restaurant, great food and good vibes from the staff!
Assaggio has not lost a step during the pandemic.
The food was A+, as always, the atmosphere lively, and the host - Mauro - as effervescent as ever! It was so nice to see to be back at Assaggio - we missed you!
Amazing experience! A beautiful restaurant, wonderful energy, and outstanding food.
10/10 will go back. Loved every minute. Make sure you get the gnocchi.
The best food I had while in Seattle area. Authentic Italian. I had the gemmeli and it was superb. The staff was friendly and ITALIAN!! Family run restaurant and the pride they have in their establishment shows. I highly recommend.
Love the food and the staff who greet you with warmth every time you arrive!
We loved everything about this restaurant!
The carpaccio was sublime. The spaghetti Bolognese was fantastic. And you must order the gnocchi. Delicious little clouds of pasta in a sauce we all had to sample
The cocktails are so good too!
Absolutely wonderful. We were treated like family. The food, cocktails and service are a step above most. Francesca was a pure delight
It made us so happy to be back at assaggio after a long hiatus. Wonderful food, lovely room. It was a great celebration with a friend who retired just as the pandemic happened.
The server should have notified us about up-charges, and he did not. The food was wonderful!
The service was wonderful and the food was delicious!
This is a cosy spot with a convenient location, friendly ambiance, prompt service, and delicious food. The classic neighbourhood gem!
We were seated quickly but it was a little warm inside. Our waiter was outstanding! We shared caprese and while it was simple it was fabulous. We had viewed the menu in advance and I was very much looking forward to their short rib on polenta. Turns out they didn’t have any polenta. Our waiter was quick to offer risotto instead which was quite nice. My husband had rigatoni with wild boar and peppers. He loved it. We were too full for dessert.
Real Italian cuisine served in a European style setting. The owner and his daughter are very welcoming and make you feel like you’re family.
The food and service were excellent. While in Seattle for the week, we are here twice, it was so good. Very nice atmosphere for a nice meal.
Outstanding food. Our server suggested a great wine.
Excellent choice! Food was terrific as was the staff.
Dinner menu in OpenTable is not up to date. All prices are higher. Pasta dishes are about $24 for example
I've been to Assagio many times, and always enjoyed my experience there. Not as much this time. Our server was extremely respectful and enabled us to talk extensively without unnecessary interruptions. Much appreciated. The food was not as wonderful this time. We shared orders for Gnocchi, Pollo Marsala and Chicken Parmisiana. I actually didn't taste the Gnocchi but was told it was quite good (and extremely filling). I was underwhelmed by the two chicken entrees. The Chicken Parmisiana was warm, not piping hot, and the pasta side dish overcooked. Pollo Marsala was a better preparation.
Perhaps the kitchen is overwhelmed and too many items are pre-cooked. I'm not sure. I understand that staffing is an issue at many restaurants these days, and must also be the case at Assagio. While the dishes came out from the kitchen much faster than I expected, there's no reason why they wouldn't be served piping hot (unless they had been pre-cooked and then not sufficiently re-heated). Just speculating....
Next time I'll stick to their pasta dishes which require immediate fresh preparation.
Fabulous! Great food and wine! Cute little place for a date night!
Food was amazing. Had a slight hiccup on the appetizer but the waiter immediately made it right and no charge. Overall best meal we had in Seattle
Everything about this dining experience was outstanding. We were lucky to get an outdoor corner table under the shade of an oak tree. Our server was super-friendly and witty and knowledgeable. The food was memorable. Yes it was on the expensive side, but excellent value for money.
The food was outstanding! I never had a empty water glass. a the food came out fast! Been in seattle for past few days, and this was the best restuant I went to. I recommend getting the chicken marsala it was delicious! And the cesar, those crutons were amazing!
However it was super expensive for how little food we got- the salad was big however the chicken was a small piece.
The hostess was friendly!
I think our server was the owner and he seemed a bit stressed out
It was my boyfriends birthday. His mother had called in and prepaid for our meal as a surprise which they informed us of and we received a glass of champagne for the occasion! It was fantastic service overall and the food was incredible.
Salmon was beautifully prepared - roasted figs an excellent addition.
Wine pours generous, wine list quite limited.
Amazing food, phenomenal service, and such an amazing place to eat and enjoy good company! Owner and staff were so kind and attentive! One of the best places we’ve eaten at in Seattle!
