Great! Food was delicious! It was Monday, and anyway it was pretty crowded in the evening and a little noise as for me. It means that this place is very popular among citizens. We like everything: food, atmosphere and people who work there!
Excellent food, ambience and service. Thoroughly enjoyed our evening.
Cozy and nice place to get good Italian music. The place is really busy so you don’t get much attention from the staff, but they are friendly and provided a good service. All the food was great, good size and price.
Only three nights in Seattle and we went there two nights in a row! Excellent food excellent service!!!
I’ve been there probably 10 times and it was always an amazing experience. My boss was in town and he wanted to take me and my employees to dinner so I chose Assaggio, which was always a great choice in the past. They sat us indoors but at a table with a cloud of bugs. We had to pick bugs out of our wine all night. My pasta was cold, dry and chewy and one of my employees found a gumball-sized rock in his linguini with clams. True story. It was large and it was heavy. Mauro wasn’t there that night and I was going to tell the manager but my boss thought it was funny and told me not to bother. He left the majority of his food untouched but he took the rock with him because he thought it was so ridiculous. The whole experience reflected poorly on me and I was extremely embarrassed and mortified. I won’t be back. Ever.
Excellent food and atmosphere!
Excellent service by Ken. Greeted by the owner. Nice meal. Fantastic dessert made in house
Always spectacular - never disappoints.
We go every time we are in Seattle.
It’s our place
we came to visit Seattle for my birthday weekend and found this restaurant for it's variety of Italian dishes. When we got there we were seated but once we were there we were rushed to order or the waiter didn't take the time to ask us any questions since we were undecisive on what we wanted to eat. He wasn't personable. Then when we got our beverage the lady waitress spilled my son's beer and didn't even bother to clean it up and it was a lot that got spilled. Sorry but this is not what I expected and paid for.
Everything is great except for the chairs. Very uncomfortable. I will only dine here again if I can sit in a booth or if they add cushions to the chairs. Please fix. Thank you
Wonderful experience. Looking forward to our next visit
We loved this place when we first came, back in February 2019, and were looking forward to coming back. We made reservations way in advance but we were seated at a table in the bar at an area that looked like it was for walk ins. A little disappointing. We were dressed up and everyone around us was in jeans. The dress code is business casual and we always try to comply for the dining room. If I had known we’d be seated where we were, I’d have worn jeans too! While service was good, we felt a little rushed . The food is very good. Hubby asked for an item that wasn’t on the menu anymore and they made it for him without question. There are many places in Seattle that serve similar food so next time, we will probably try another.
Great food, excellent service. Would definitely come back if scoring Seattle again!! Food is large portion, so def money worth. Server had great personality and gave excellent recommendation.
Would have been excellent with the exception of tiny flies that flew around our glasses of wine. At one point when I picked up my glass to take a sip, there were three flies floating in the wine! We were constantly swatting them away from our table. At one point one of the employees noticed our problem and she came by with cocktail napkins to cover the tops of our wine glasses to prevent the flies from landing in our wine.
The food was very good, but something needs to be done with the fly problem.
Food was great, authentic Italian!
We had dinner there this past week. Our Waiter, Noah was superb. The food was ok...we are from a city of great food especially Italian...I mediocre is the best that I can say. BTW, I hate tepid food,
Great service, quiet lunch, good food if a little salty for my taste. Would go back.
Food was beyond delicious! Service superior! Ambience incredible!
The ribeye I had was not what I expected from an Italian restaurant, but I rarely had a ribeye in Italy that I liked. The Aperol spritz we ordered, was mixed with orange juice, which is not so Italian. They were willing to fix it, but the damage was done by then. The appetizers were delicious, the pasta and pizza my wife and daughter ordered were also delicious. The staff were excellent.
Pasta was amazing, got the 3 pastas, gnocchi and penne were delicious, didn’t love the ravioli but definitely would go back.
This is a very cute Italian restaurant & the taste was delicious!!!! Will be back.
Good ok, waiter had a bit of an attitude. Felt rushed to order
Great food. Our table was not optimal, as was near the kitchen and not in main area.
We took a last minute but confirmed reservation through OT for the 9:45 slot and arrived a few minutes early. We we informed right away that the kitchen was closing so we should make up our minds quickly. To help out, we followed kindly followed the suggestion, and made a few choices. Just a few minutes after placing our order, the salad arrived, scrumptious-looking and fresh. We picked up our forks, but before even a morsel hit the palette, the hot appetizer and main entrees arrived in rapid suggestion - there wasn't even a place on our little table for two to place them - The waiter was pleasant enough to honor my request to send them back to keep them warm while we ate a little and made some real estate for the new arrivals, but I shouldn't need to ask to send plates back. My suggestion to the business - If you want to go home earlier, just say so by shutting off the reservations earlier, so you can all relax! Then your customers can relax, too! (The pasta sampler and calamari were still tasty and not overcooked, and the wine selection suggested new and interesting, so it wasn't a wipe out!)
Excellent experience for what I consider old school Italian, with just enough twist to make it interesting. Great staff, Italian wine selection, and ambiance...it is our new "go to" Italian date night!
Food was sub par and the service was terrible. The maitre de, owner, and server were all very rude and curt.
Awesome as ever.
We love Assaggio. Mauro goes out of his way to make every single customer feel welcome and comfortable!
A spectacularly-seasoned Italian restaurant that does everything right - fabulous food, great service - what's not to like?
Amazing food! The chef prepares seafood, pasta, anything...to perfection! Lovely ambiance and amazing service, delicious food! Great for an evening out or a special occasion! We celebrated our 26th wedding anniversary there and are so happy to have celebrated at Assaggio!
Who puts red pepper flakes on a pear and blue cheese salad?
Waitress took our order then Came back latter to ask if we were ready to order. I ordered eggplant and got a combination of pasta and egg plant
Best meal ever and we have been dining at Assaggio for over 20 years!
Second time here. Service was much better the first time. Waiter was slightly pushy. Food is always great! Outdoor seating is beautiful with a great vibe.
Top restaurant. Alles dat je verwacht van een goede italiaaan. Zeer authentiek !
Service ok, food came out incomplete and incorrectly cooked. Ordered ribeye special medium came out well done, very thin/small steak and did not come with mashed potatoes or Gorgonzola/wine glaze as listed on menu, was hardly seasoned plain steak with raw fat in several areas - not worth $50. Pasta trio was good but portions were very small for $30, not good value. Bruschetta had no flavor other than water. Oso Bucco was decent though raw fat issue similar to steak. Did not stay for dessert. Pretty disappointing anniversary dinner, unlikely to return.
Delicious seafood lasagna! Loved the window seat.
Food was amazing. Our server Kenny was fantastic.
My wife's food was very good and mine wass very poor. i had the veal parmagiano . it was very tough and over cooked. I complained to the manager and he kind of "blow me off " but did reduce my meal from the bill.
We choose this restaurant as it was rated in top 5 in Seattle. My food was cold. Cold pasta. Flavor was ok, but not for the $$. Felt rushed, liked I had to order and get out.
First time in Seattle
Food was amazing. Asked for more bread and told it was $3.50 for another basket which surprised me
Drinks were pricey
I had the Veal Ossu Bucco whims was superb and I asked for pasta with it
My husband got the Fish Dinner with scallops, salmon and shrimp which was served on a plank.
Felt like I was in Italy
