Excellent food and great service, will be back and recommend to others!
Kevin was an outstanding waiter! Great spot, great food
At times was a little hard to hear but overall great time as usual. You pay for what you get but what you get is an amazing vibe, service is always top of the line, and the food is incredible. Side note: In my opinion they have the best espresso martinis in Boston
We had Irene as a server and she was outstanding. She was above and beyond in every way and so appreciative of her kindness and great attention to detail. Thank you Assaggio and Irene !
Food came out late and it was cold. Tables are way too close together and no room. Server was great and always there.
We had a reservation and waited about 15 minutes for our table. We were sat at a low to the ground table where you had to bend over to eat which was too close to the table next to us. The servers and everyone else had to get through this very narrow pathway because the guy seated next to us sat with his chair way out and no one said anything to him. As expected a server walked by and dumped the whole table on top of us - drinks and glass all over us. They offered limoncello and dessert while the other table had their comp’d bottle of wine almost immediately while we weren’t even cleaned up with glass and drinks everywhere and had to ask twice for our drinks. Won’t be going back for sure.
The food was great. Waited about 10 extra minutes for our table, not too shabby, but the downside was waiting FOREVER for our entree. It got the point where we had to ask our waiter what was going on. I recommend Assaggio, but be prepared for a wait if you’re visiting on a weekend night.
Great service, quiet place to eat in the busy North End, with incredible food. I’ll be back again!
Waiter was fantastic. Fast service, with great food quality. Highly recommend this restaurant if you are in the area.
Quick service, delicious food, I got one of the specials. Probably the best old fashioned I’ve ever tried, they make it their own special way. Not too loud, great spot for a date. Good atmosphere
We had a wonderful experience at Assaggio to celebrate my husband's birthday. If you are in the North End, you must check out Assaggio. It is WONDERFUL!
We loved the restaurant and experience, had great service and food and dessert were amazing. Loved the ambiance on the second floor where we ate. Very good. Thank you!
Our service was very late. They took 20 mins for a server to come put in an order for the drinks. Another 15 mins for someone to take our order. Fast forward 30 mins for the server to come tell us the ticket system was broken and the dinner order hadn’t gone in yet. 10 mins later our appetizer came in. 15 mins after that the entree finally arrived. I am not sure what was going at the restaurant that night because I could see many servers and the it wasn’t jam packed at all. Hoping this is a one off.
Service was not great. Never received our bread at the table. Server took our order and disappeared. Recommend it for the food, it was excellent.
Great food and service
The food and drinks were amazing. I would definitely recommend getting the gnocchi and cannolis!!
The food and service were awesome
Once my favorite restaurant then we moved. So looking forward to their great Linguine and clams, unfortunately at 7pm the were out???? Hard to imagine but everything else was fine. Just disappointed.
Best Carbonara I have ever had. The food is perfect.
Even though the place was completely empty -second floor - the hostess sat the five of us on a table for four. We were three on one side and two on the other side. Very uncomfortable. We could see that the restaurant stayed empty from the time we came in until the moment we left. For several times we asked the staff to decrease the volume of the music. It was useless. It was impossible to have a conversation. Never more.
The restaurant is nicely designed, very ideal for a date. I had very delicious octopus, and lamb chops were next level delicious. The service is very professional and etiquette. The place clean and easy to get to. The only problem is parking, the streets are very narrow and congested with vehicles. You may need to park in a garage then take ride share to the place.
After 10 pm dining is basically like having a meal at a very loud nightclub.
Wish they would have indicated this reservation was not for their dining room
As always, Assagio never disappoints. The food is absolutely outstanding and prepared perfectly, the waitstaff is friendly and knowledgeable. The manager checked in a couple times to make sure everything was perfect, not with just our table but every table. This is why I continue to come back to Assagio, and will do so for because of the consistent tremendous dining experience we have each and every time.
Outstanding Carpacchio and short ribs were incredible falling apart and seasoned perfectly. Polenta was creamy and complimented the ribs well. We ordered a side of pasta aglio y olio, and it was the best naked pasta ever. Loved the service, very attentive.
We were 15 minutes early but were seated right away by the window. Perfect spot on a beautiful evening. We asked if the fried calamari app could exclude the scallops and shrimp, and they were able to accommodate us. There was a ton of calamari. It was good. A bit more spice would have made it perfect. Our meals were chicken parmigiana and lobster fra diavlo. The chicken parm was a bit bland. I rarely salt anything but would have added it if salt were on the table. The lobster came shelled which we were not expecting. He did enjoy his meal and the heat was just right. The Pinot Grigio was delicious. Our waiter was attentive and did not rush us out the door which can happen on a busy Saturday night in the north end. Overall, a nice dining experience. I would rate this a 4 out of 5.
Everyone at the place is amazing, great service, friendly staff. Delicious apps (we didn’t order an entree)
Excellent menu, drink selection, and vibe. Seated partially on couches and honestly, it was nice!
Local had referred Asagio. Was a great experience. Intimate, white tablecloth yet casual feel. Would definitely go again.
Our family of four are there the night before the Boston Marathon so the north end was packed with diners. We were so relieved to get a somewhat last minute reservation. The staff was outstanding from the hostess to the wait staff. They were welcoming, professional and communicative. The food was absolutely delicious from the several appetizers that we tried to our pasta main dishes. The portions were just right. We all ate every last bite and left quite full and happy.
Excellent pasta dishes and awesome service. A fun night out.
Service was superb. Food great.
Our server Kevin did a really great job with recommendations fo our family dinner and helped packed up my desert to go when I had an urgent travel plan change! Exceptional service and great food! Fun location!
The food was excellent, as was the service. Our table a bit close to stairs, which wasn’t ideal, but ok
Service is usually better than last night, but I’m aware that there is a restaurant staff shortage so hopefully just temporary
Very accommodating staff, attentive service, great food
Tables are too close
Food is always excellent.
We had the bone in veal parmigiana. It was one of the best meals I have ever had.
We were told we could not sit at a table by the window because they had a large party coming in but 5 minutes after us they sat a couple in that table. When our salad was delivered they took away our bread that we were not finished with ( 2 pieces left). We asked for the bread and they told us we were out of bread for the night. 3 minutes later the table across from us were given bread and in our way out we could see in the wide open kitchen 5 loaves of bread. The marinara sauce was just a can of hunts. No salt, pepper or any hint of ANY spices. Sad because 10 years ago we loved this place. 5 years ago we had a poor experience so last night we decided to give it one more try. We will never be back.
