The Chicken Caesar Salad was so delicious and the Chicken Fettuccini was very good! Our server, Tasha, did an excellent job! Great price on Rombauer Chardonnay (lower taxes in Nevada?!)!

Aspens is usually a great place to enjoy a nice dinner. However, this time was different. The chicken wasn’t fully cooked and the brussel sprouts came out inedible. In fact, the server indicated that the head chef threw the batch out. The server offered to bring the chicken back to cook it more...and offered a dessert ‘on the house’. No thanks. Disappointing experience. I’ll go to The Star.

We stopped in Elko on our way back from a trip to Napa and Sonoma valley. This was the second time we dined at the Aspen. The first time our experience was much better. For some reason the the casino adjoining the restaurant did not seem as smoky. That was the first turn off. We both decided to have the salmon with rice pilaf and “special” vegetables. The salmon was nothing special almost no taste which perfectly accompanied the pilaf which was also void of any flavor. Nothing “special” about the vegetables either. The service was excellent too bad the food wasn’t. Not sure if we would ever go to the Aspen again but if we did we will stay away from the salmon and pilaf and no special vegetables.

We've eaten here once before, and like it well enough to come back. The only complaint is the location and having to walk through a smoke-filled casino to get here. Food was great, papered as asked for, and our waitress was efficient and pleasant.

Atmosphere and service were very good and overall the food was very good, however all of the sides ordered with 2 entrees were cold. Staff advised and were appreciative, but.... Other than this the dinner was very good and we'd go back.

Nice restaurant inside Red Lion Hotel & Casino. Comfortable décor. Nice menu, something for everyone's palate. Food was good, tasty, nice portion sizes. My entre, salmon, had to be returned as initially served undercooked. Restaurant gladly prepared new meal, so while inconvenienced having to wait for recook, the food was done properly second time. Felt that the server could have been more attentive, had to get attention of server from a nearby table to make them aware of meal problem. Chalk this up to an unfortunate night, hopefully would be better next time, but am passing through town, so may not ever be back to try again.

driving down I-80, read reviews for restaurants in Elko Nevada. Saw good reviews for Aspens. We found our way there and had a drink at the bar followed by dinner in the restaurant. OMG, everyone was super friendly, cocktails were great and food and service was second to none. It was soo good, we decided to stay the night at the Red Lion hotel Aspens was in. The room was as good as the food. What a find Red Lion was. In fact, we may go there just for a weekend get away. What a sleeper. We played some slots after we checked in and my wife won over 1000!!! I played black jack for a few hours and won a few hundred. We will be back. I highly urge everyone driving down I-80 to stop at the Red Lion and stay a day or so and for sure eat at Aspens. We are leaving this morning and will be back soon.

We were in Elko for one evening and wanted a quiet dinner. It was suggested that we try Aspens Bar and Grill. We were pleasantly surprised to see that the restaurant is tucked away inside the casino and beyond the smoking section. The food was good and beautifully presented, and our waitress was very attentive. We will eat here again the next time we are in Elko.
