   Food and service for our Sunday lunch was great. Such a shame we were the only diners, it really needs to be better publicised. I would recommend it. We probably had enough food for four people both beef and pork were superb. Thanks

   Party of 4 adult, a child and 3 toddlers. Beautifully arranged table with three highchairs as previously requested. Good menu to choose from with something for everyone, but I would say, prices are quite high for the portions you get. That does not take away from the tastiness of the meal we all receive.

   £30 a head for what I can only be described as the worst buffet ever. Choice of 2 starters, 3 mains, beef was chewy and horrible and the rest was so bland it was dreadful. Staff also forgot about the kids meals and we had to remind them, took over 10 minutes from when we ordered drinks to actually get them. Would never go back to the buffet, overall food dreadful, service poor.

   Service wasn’t great but was quite obvious there were new staff just learning the role. They didn’t know what a fruit shoot was so we assumed they didn’t sell them, however we saw a member of staff delivering them to a table later. Staff not at all knowledgeable on the menu but they did go and find out the answers to our questions later. Booked a dinner, bed and breakfast package but did not feel it was great value for money. Also it only applied to adults staying and not children which seems a bit unfair considering how much children actually eat! Overall not bad but we maybe expected too much given it’s a macdonald hotel.

   The food at Aspects was very nice. All three courses were presented well, with vibrant colours throughout. Despite the aspirations of fine dining, the children's menu was well executed and very tasty. The service was quick and pleasant and small changes were taken care of without fuss.

    Lemon sole dish was delicious but was a small portion for the price. You got half a small fillet of lemon sole too.
