   Not much street parking and garage next door is closed so you have to valet park across the circle from the restaurant. We ate from Georgian menu and food was wonderful. They are also a hookah bar but we weren't bothered by the smoke.

   We are foodies that travel both in US and Europe. Askaneli experience was outstanding in food, service and ambiance. We sat outdoors on comfortable couches under the shade of palm trees. Service was prompt, pleasant, but not intrusive. We went with Georgian menu: two different soups (Kharcho and Borsht), chkachapuri pie with cheese, salad, lamb kebabs-all to remember. Napoleon cake that they bake in-house deserves a special mention. Going back this Saturday and bringing friends.

   Great place in a beautiful area. Exceptional service (thank you to server Darina), delicious food, nice atmosphere with live music on Friday night. The best hookah in the area (a lot of tobacco brands and flavors)

   Insure to check prices....churrasco steak was quoted at $60. Ordered the Black Angus without checking price and it turned out to cost $137. Additionally, it was overckooked. Sides dishes were high priced too. Other than that it was an elegant place

   I was there for Valentine’s, when we got there the fire alarm was on, I have no idea why!!! But the waitress do not check you often, drink are not the good! Price is high but I don’t care if I have to pay for GOOD service! Not fair or bad! Could be much better! I just run out! 20% already included Plus tip when you pay the check! 2% 3% 4%… But the service I don’t recommend

   After 20 minutes seating at the table waiting to be serve nobody show up. Restaurant was at 50% capacity. Waiters and personal does not care about customers unless they are told by the manager. Parking is not convenience. Save time and trouble and book other restaurants close by and excellent service.

    We were appalled. There were a dozen servers but none of them were interested in serving us. Two of them kept counting all the tables in the restaurant. The rest were just standing around. Eventually we were offered water and a QR code for the menu. They were completely fazed when we asked for a paper menu. We do not do QR codes. They eventually brought us an iPad to view the menu. We are in our sixties and just don't want to be reliant on technology when we are on vacation. Maybe they don't want people in their sixties patronizing this restaurant? The food was authentic Georgian cuisine (I lived in Georgia for a while in the 1980s). That's the only reason we stayed. I wanted my husband to sample khatchapuri.

    My wife and I went to Askaneli for an early Valentines dinner. We are always excited to try something new and were looking forward to trying a new type of cuisine. I will keep it short but we had an excellent server who was kind enough to explain the dishes and willing to make personal recommendations. The food choices were very tasty. The portions were a little small but we understand the cost of authenticity as some of the flavors we tasted were unique to even my wife and I who have traveled all around the world. We read other reviews and understood that it was going to be a little pricy but I can see how it might catch some folk off guard. We enjoyed our experience.

    Didn't think the food had any flavor and we inky ate abt 25% if the dishes because we didn't like it. Most items came out room temperature even my cappuccino. Our bill was almost $300 for less than mediocre food. Give a gold star for tye service tho. They were very attentive.

    I live in the building and was really hoping for a great experience. It was really disappointing. Waitress came relatively quickly to take our order and came back pretty quickly to check again and took our order. We couldn’t find her again for 30 minutes. Finally had to ask someone else for water and bread which came another 5 minutes later. We had filet and the lamb kabob both ordered medium rare. Filet was good but over cooked. Lamb was well done. Sent the lamb back. Meanwhile the person I was with ate their meal. Lamb came out when the other dish was cleared and it was medium. I just wanted to eat something but unfortunately they had taken away my silverware. They waitress came to check and I asked for more water and silverware. 5 minutes later manager came to check and I told her I just needed silverware so I can eat. Stared at my food for close to 10 minutes and silverware finally showed up. Ate in 5 minutes. Manager came over and said sorry - but at least we got it right. Really weird dining experience to the point that you had to laugh. Unfortunately for all my high hopes of this place being great it looks like it’s off the list.

    It was our first time at a Georgian restaurant The menu is very diverse but we decided to explore the Georgian one David took very good care of us, explaining the traditional Georgian food and choices of wine We enjoyed the food, drinks and the elegant place Definitely will go back

    We can't say enough about our experience at Askenali. We went for a late lunch and were thrilled with the ambiance, the service, and the delicious authentic Georgian specialties. We can't wait to go back!

    Food is outstanding! Would have given 5 stars if service were better. Server checked on table once during the entire meal even though she had no other tables. For a restaurant that mandates 20% gratuity, better service is expected. Please take time to train your staff. It's understandable that staff may have limited ability to communicate in English, but more of an attempt to meet minimum standards of service is desperately needed. We spent $300 on a meal for 3 people, and the absent service cost the business (and server) an opportunity to make more money because we each had only one drink.

    The food is excellent! Not one item disappointed anyone. We were a large group and the food came out at a great pace as we shared many, many varied selections. The staff was fantastic, personable and attentive. It is pricey, but well worth it! The ambiance is beautiful and the artwork that is hung up is available for purchase!

    We had a great evening here for dinner during the boat show weekend at end of Oct2022. Staff were all dressed in the same red jumpsuit Halloween costume referencing some show that we were unfamiliar with, but we still appreciated the effort and effect. There was a performer in the other area singing mostly 80s tunes while playing a keyboard that was perhaps fun for the people in there; for us it just meant lively, but not too loud music from across the hall. The restaurant was spacious and décor was modern (eastern european chic?). We were inside, but there is also a large outdoor seating area that looked to have decent breeze. They had a nice menu of Georgian and international food and, judging from their accents and language when speaking to each other, I think most people on the floor were Georgians. Everything we had was well prepared, well presented, and very tasty. Tried a few dishes we had never heard of or thought of - presumeably Georgian staples. A few Georgian wines on the extensive list, as well as Lithuanian draft beer (Svyturys Ekstra) on tap. Prices were appropriate. Tip was included in bill. 2 people for full evening, apps + dinner with $60 wine, a few beers, and tip was under $200 total. All in all, a nice evening dinner out.

    Absolutely, best restaurant in Fort Lauderdale: best food, best service (Larissa was most caring and genuine waitress ever), modern ambiance, they even have live music. We will be back many times with friends and already told everyone we know about this place. Hidden gem, upscale but not pretentious.

    Delicious food! Especially Khachapuri and Khinkali. Cozy inside and outside seating. Great selection of wine and cocktails. Service is timely and friendly. The only negative, in my opinion, is the automatic gratuity charge added to the bill!

    Experienced immediate discrimination, hostess questioned our server about our ability to afford the food and towards the end many employees gathered around the entrance door prior to the check being brought. Food was beautiful but my palate could not acclimate. Server was nice and patient. I spent over $300 and will never return. I guess they are not accustomed to Black Americans being able to afford and relish the finer things of life.
