Asian Mint | Highland Park Ratings and Reviews
Fantastic Food and Service - Lovely Thai Cuisine that really hits home how different flavors in a dish can make you happy! Great use of differently vegetables and spices to accomplish fantastic dishes! We ordered family style so we could try 5 dishes at the same time!
The potsticker appetizers were tender, tasty and hot. My main course of a suggested of friend chicken and mango sauce had nice flavor but the chicken was incredibly tough. I couldn't even cut it with a knife. Should have had some Pad Thai. Service was impeccable .
I would go back.
The food was delicious and the restaurant was gracious enough to keep the kitchen open for my 9:30 reservation. But because we were the last people in the restaurant it was obvious they were ready for us to eat and leave. We couldn't get our water glasses refilled, no one asked if we needed anything. I even had to get up and go over to where the waitress was sitting to ask her for our check. The food was still awesome as usual, I just know not to go when they are closing.
This is one of my favorite restaurants in Dallad. We were having a great meal on Valentine's Day...food was great...until they started cleaning with heavy chemicals while we were still eating...I think it was something in the kitchen...I had a sneezing attach and my husband started coughing...I told our waiter that this was unacceptable to begin cleaning before the restaurant was closed...I had to leave immediately because I couldn't smell or breathe...hopefully they will realize they shouldn't clean during business hours.::couldn't find a manager to talk to...mainly 20-somethings working at restaurant that didn't care...
Fresh, yummy and the best of Asian fusion cuisine- this is a neighborhood gem, a take out bonanza, and a place you can actually have a conversation- not so noisy that you can't speak to anyone. The best and freshest of shrimp summer rolls, the pad Lee moo won zen is my personal fave, but all the curries are a delight as well.
Great Food !
A wonderful array of flavors, great service and attention to detail on the food arrangement on the plate. Upon finishing the food, plates were removed immediately. The Ginger Martini was delicious. My great friend Cheryl and I were thoroughly delighted
Very average Asian food. We started with dumplings, which were tasty, but covered with non-descript sweet sauce. NOTE - ask for the sauce on the side. Waiter was friendly, and service was very prompt. I had a salmon salad that was DRENCHED in dressing. The salmon wasn't just overcooked, it was hammered. My wife had a dish that was overcooked meat in brown sauce with shrimp. Is there a name for that? This used to be a very good restaurant. It has really fallen off. We won't be back.
I have dined at this restaurant twice. I decided to take some friends. We were going to the AT&T Winspear for an event. We really enjoyed the food and customer service and the ambiance . I would take a date there for a romantic evening. It just needed a added touch of calming/romantic even spa type or classical music. That would really make the night great
My husband and I recently visited mint on a Saturday night. We arrived early (5:30) and it filled up quickly as we enjoyed our meal. I had to ask for a drink menu but otherwise service was very good. We ordered the orange chicken and pad kee mow. Both were fantastic. Quite possibly the best orange chicken I have ever had. Chicken was extremely crispy and remained crispy until we finished it and the orange sauce was light and fresh, not the cornstarch goop I am used to. We would definitely come back.
Americanized thai food - good service, broad array of choices, reasonable prices. But, spices were absent in many of the dishes. Perhaps good for the kids but not so great for those looking for the flavors of Thailand. good cocktail list, easy take-out process.
Food was outstanding and very fast service, even on a busy night. Especially good were the drinks - I had an old fashioned and my date had one of the fruity selections and both were outstanding. The restaurant was very lively and energetic, it was a great experience. Would be perfect for any group.
