Absolutely phenomenal food and service. Every dish is bursting with flavour and beautifully prepared. The staff are always attentive, friendly, and make the whole experience even better. I highly recommend this spot to anyone who loves high-quality food and warm, welcoming service. One small note: this isn’t the place to go if you’re looking for a formal, structured dining experience. Dishes come out as they’re ready, which works best for a shared-table style meal. If everyone’s ordering different things and not sharing, the timing can feel a little disjointed. That said, if you lean into the experience and order for the table, it’s absolutely fantastic.

We visited Asia Restaurant for a birthday celebration with invited guests, and unfortunately, the experience was disappointing and even embarrassing at times. •The dumplings (about 25 total) came out extremely slowly, just 1 or 2 at a time, even though the restaurant was quite empty at the time. This made it hard to enjoy them as a group. •The food service was poorly sequenced. Ideally, the edamame and dumplings should have come first, followed by the noodles and egg fried rice served together with the black pepper beef, and then the chicken korma with naan — or at the very least, all of these main dishes should have arrived together. Instead, they came out in a disorganized and disruptive order. •I asked if we could order from the dinner menu at lunch, and the waiter told me it wasn’t possible. I understood that was policy, but about 30 minutes later, a nearby table was served Peking duck from the dinner menu, which felt like a double standard and was quite frustrating. •The waiter never checked in to see if everything was okay, which was disappointing for a special occasion. •One of our tables was crooked, making food and water dangerously close to spilling onto a guest. Although staff tried to fix it, it took so long that our food went cold while they found more people to help. •Finally, one of our guests overheard the waiter discussing how we “didn’t tip enough” with a coworker or manager. We always tip based on the quality of service and food, which in this case was not delivered. It was unprofessional and embarrassing to have that discussion happening where guests could overhear. Overall, while the food was good, the poor and inconsistent service made the celebration feel stressful and disappointing.

I love this restaurant! The staff and service were incredible! Always nice, always attentive, and even went arrive and beyond to make you feel welcome. The food is high quality and delicious with enough variety to satisfy. You can dine small plate sharing style, or you have the option to order the MP option on the menu for some items that offers a larger portion for some individual items. We tried the ahi tuna, the miso cod, the Digby scallops, the Peking duck, and the truffle cheese naan. More than enough food obviously. Everything tasted great! The only complaint was that I wish the ahi tuna had more tuna. It was avocado heavy and that flavour dominated the dish, but it was still tasty. The Digby scallops were quite large and satisfying. The real hero of the small plates was the miso black cod. This is a must have! And excellent and tasty dish. The Peking duck was incredible also, and they go out of their way with the presentation (I won’t spoil it for you, haha). It’s fun to make Peking duck thin pancake wraps with the pancakes they provide. And don’t worry about running out of the wraps, they will provide more at no charge. The truffle cheese naan was rich, creamy, and very flavourful. definitely a treat if you like truffle cream. Finally, the cocktails were on point. Every one that we had was excellent. Their take on a classic martini was one of the best I’ve ever had. It was called the year of the Snake. Also the year of the Dragon cocktail was a must order as well. So that’s it. Go to this restaurant and have some delicious food and a great experience. Highly recommend

Great to try once but I probably won’t go back again, I loved the decor and our waitress was outstanding, but the price for some of the food definitely wasn’t worth the quality of some of it, and the fact that you have to order the sides separately and they’re also incredibly expensive just doesn’t sit right with me

Our experience was out of this world…. Don’t listen to those ‘impatient people reviews’! The person at the door greeted us so kindly, and showed us our table, then we meet our server who was just fantastic, unfortunately I can’t remember his name! But he was amazing! We had a reservation for 6pm and it was pretty quiet at this time. The restaurant did start getting busier around 7- 730, but in no way were we ignored. We had the green beans, calamari, pork belly, beef, Hakka noodles and dim sum. Not a single complaint, the food was excellent! We will be back and highly recommend. It was just my husband and I and we had a great date night! Thanks so much again Asia and staff!

From the moment we walked in I felt how special this place was. Service was incredible. We were offered ample support from Lauren who really took it upon herself to curate our experience. The right tone was set even before the food arrived. The food may have been one of the best meals I’ve had in Halifax. Do yourself a favour and try out an Asian flavour experience unlike any other you’ll find east of Montreal.

We were really looking forward to trying out Asia as a special treat - unfortunately the experience wasn't great. Very slow service. We didn't even get acknowledged or a glass of water for over 10 minutes after we were seated. Didn't manage to order until after 30 minutes - made the mistake of asking for a couple more minutes on the menu after our original questions only to be abandoned again. The food was amazing but came out at long intervals so there were gaps where I ate something while my husband watched and vice versa. It very much seemed like a big, well-heeled looking group were getting all the attention and we (and perhaps others) were simply de-prioritized in their favour. It took ages to even get the bill after we asked for it, and it this point really wanted to just leave. I get this feeling this experience was the exception, but perhaps even asking 'how were things?' - which they didn't as I think they knew - or offering to comp a couple of plates would have gone a long way to making it right. Now it feels like a day was spoiled by them. We just won't go back!
