I had the most horrible experience ever with this restaurant. I made a 9pm reservation I get to the restaurant and they are allowing walk-ins to be seated before me and another group who made a reservation was seated. They sat me and my partner in the back in which we waited 30 minutes to be served. My partner order orange chicken, the chicken itself, was cold like ice. They made a mess of my order and at that point I was ready to go.
I do not recommend this restaurant to anyone
They totally OVER BOOKED for Valentines Day. Got there at 8:00pm for reservations and there were at least 4 couples who had reservations BEFORE us that were waiting to be seated. Staff at the restaurant were not informative at all of any possible wait or delays. Bad customer service all around won’t be returning!
It was a great experience specially as a visitor of the city. The next time I come back to DC I’m coming back
Great food but not very good atmosphere
Very good food and good service. My go-to Asian Fusion restaurant at Federal Triangle.
Birthday dinner
The food was okay. 2 of the 3 entrees came out cold when they weren't supposed to. The mochi ice cream was delicious. Service was good. The real reason this place lost 2 stars is because online, it says they have velvet parking. Being out of town, this was something we were looking forward to. The hostess laughed about it when I asked for it saying that haven't had it for a long time. I thought that was absolutely ridiculous. Take it off Open Table if you no longer offer it. Otherwise, average experience.
The waitress was perfect, the food not so much. The tempura was tasteless and the Korean barbbq only a bit better. There was a cleanup going on near us with mops and a strong Mr Clean smell.
Even the green tea ice cream was less tasty than in most other places.
We visited Asia Nine for a quick meal before the theater. The service was quick --we were in and out in less than an hour. I very much enjoy cooked eel, and Asia Nine's version was delicious. Nothing fancy about the restaurant, but it delivered the goods.
The drunken noodles were amazing.
Fantastic asian cuisine close to Ford’s theater. Loved it.
We miss dining in. This seems longer ago than 3 months. We miss the staff. The steaming plates. The beverages. We’re so grateful they continued carry out during the pandemic. We long for Asia Nine to reopen, for colleagues and family and friends to join us for great meals inside once again.
Overall, very good. My lobster roll sushi special was excellent --- with lots of substance and great flavor. My partner's mix of different sushi's was average. He said the flavor was "okay" --- slightly bland. Service was decent. My partner's came out 5 to 10 minutes before mine. I could see the server hovering over the sushi folks to push them to get my order done. The restaurant was in a great location. It was noticeably brighter than the last time we were there (new lighting maybe?). All in all, it was a good meal, and I would recommend Asia Nine Bar and Lounge to others.
Once again, a reliable good meal with terrific and prompt service. Not exactly premiere cuisine.
Great experience! I like the place always.
Great place for happy hour and for dinner after attending events at Ford's Theater. Food is delicious.
Worth it for the food. Service was fine and atmosphere is basic.
Good food, great menu options and nice atmosphere. Waiter was polite, helpful and very prompt. Good overall for family or date night.
We had a large group (15 people) and they were great at accommodating us. Service was great and they were even able to do separate checks.
We had some issues with one of the dishes and nothing was done to really remedy it. The person in my party sent back some sushi that did not taste right and we were still charged for it. That was a bit disappointing, but everything else we ordered was great.
I must say that in all my years at dining at Asia Nine (over 10), I was appalled today that they actually asked us to move to the bar, since they needed our table. And, we weren't even there for an hour! We did purchase our lunch AND even drinks. Not like we were nonpaying patrons. Very disappointing, to say the least. I don't know if we'll return. Possibly not. I've never been asked to leave a restaurant before!
little to no wait//food is quite tasty and portions are plentiful//staff is friendly//the sukathai noodle soup cures any sore throat!
Away from crowds
Brought a friend, as she is retiring. Food and service was very good.
Great quality of food. I had the orange chicken and the portion was very generous, large chunks of high quality chicken breast, with a big bowl of rice and nice variety of perfectly cooked fresh vegetables (broccoli, carrotts, pea pods, zucchini, etc.).
Took a friend for her retirement. She had never been to AN, and really enjoyed the food and service.
Asia Nine has always had good food, every time we have gone thee. While it is a bit noisier than we might like, the decoration and ambiance is excellent, and we love the food and the service.
Overall was great. Just services not friendly. However, its still my favor restaurant.
I visited the Asia Nine location in Washington, DC with one of my colleagues. We both enjoyed the sushi and soup very much.
Birthday for a high school student craving to get out of the boring
suburbs and into the exciting city.
Excellent place to have dinner before a show. Lots of menu items for different food palates and quick service.
Food was good. Would definitely recommend
Great food- excellent value. Happy Hour all night!
I suppose we should have been clued in by the sparse crowd. We chose Asia Nine because it seemed to have good reviews and, more importantly, it ways close to the E Street Cinema. There were maybe 10 tables occupied, although granted that it was 6 PM. I ordered the drunken noodles with chicken and my wife ordered a beef dish. We intended to share but the beef had a strange flavor that made me question its quality. We frequently go to Asian restaurants and I’ve never tasted anything like that before. We ended up mostly sharing the drunken noodles, which I thought was fine. With so many other options, I doubt we would go back.
The food was outstanding! I brought some friends from San Fran and they loved it, too! Will definitely be back!
My son had the Salmon and I had the Korean Sizzling Beef. Both were fantastic! Our waitress was attentive and friendly. Overall a fantastic dining experience . . .
Nice happy hour offerings
Food was good I had the drunken noodles
Stopped in for a late afternoon break with the family. Ordered a selection of appetizers that did not disappoint. Crisp, light Spring Rolls, flavorful dumplings and wings, and an unusual and flavorful Peking Duck roll. Very nice!
This was a Corporate Team event. Everyone had a Great time. Drinks and food were delicious and the service fantastic.
