Asi es mi Peru
Asi es mi Peru, opened in late 2016 at Paradise Beach Villas by Peruvian-born Roxanna Salinas, features a genuine Peruvian Cevicheria where you can sit at the bar and watch the Chef make ceviche from scratch and to order. The cevicheria also serves Tiradito, a variation of ceviche and reminiscent of Japanese sushi, deliciously marinated with a smoky aji amarillo. The restaurant gazebo features a Peruvian market place where you can buy typical Peruvian crafts with a portion of the proceeds for the Aruba’s Cancer Foundation.
Inside, the restaurant is a more formal dining room featuring the food that made Peru famous: Lomo saltado (a sauteed beef), Aji de Gallina (a creamy chicken dish) and a number of typical preparations you would love.
This was our first time here. We really enjoyed the food. We tried both the cold and hot sampler platters between 4 people. It was perfect. We got to try 10 different items and we all liked them all. Great service and the hosts checked in to make sure we were enjoying everything. It was great.
This restaurant has it all! Great food, great ambiance, great service, great for families.
We just loved the food. We got hot tapas, and ceviche. Everything was delicious and authentic. Must visit!!
In Aruba (or at least an area of Aruba) where nothing feels authentic and is so “Americanized”, this restaurant feels so very authentic. The food was solid although I am pretty picky about my Peruvian food since it’s one of my favorite cuisines. I loved the ambiance and the service, and the food was good. I introduced friends to Peruvian food here and I think it was a good first impression. Personally, I loved that it wasn’t air conditioned, but some may not like that. I felt for a little period of time like I was back in Peru where I’ve had some lovely experiences. Definitely worth the visit.
It was ok. Last meal in Aruba so pretty high expectations
Welcoming and lovely service, good food, great choices on the menu. Tasting menu for two left lunch for the next day.
First experience with Peruvian cuisine and we truly enjoyed it.
A Peruvian gem - recommend the cervice and main course meal for two!
Food was delicious and we felt as though it was an authentic experience
Excellent food! Our waitress and the owners helped us with the menu selections. The service and ambience was outstanding. I would highly recommend.
First time eating here and was not disappointed. Ambiance very authentic, drinks were delicious( had Peruvian mojito. The ceviche was so fresh and tasty. I ordered the Tres Marino’s which had lightly fried fish, the ceviche and Peruvian rice with seafood. It was a lot of food and delicious. Don’t miss the Peruvian donuts for dessert !
We discovered this wonderful restaurant last year and it is now on our list for every visit to Aruba. They have a varied and interesting menu and we look forward to trying something new. Our first year, we had Ceviche and their tasting platter ... good choice when trying Peruvian food for the first time.
The Ceviche was delicious again and the pork stew and steak tip had a nice blend of spices. Although you can get items that are 'hot' spicy, I think more meals are mild. The owner/manager was very nice and stopped at each table after dinner to chat and make sure the meal was good. Service and wait staff has been great on our visits.
We topped off our meal with some of their home made ice cream, a perfect ending to an amazing dinner! If you aren't staying on Eagle beach, it is well worth hopping on a bus or taxi for dinner at Asi es mi Peru!
Very nice Peruvian kitchen, we very much liked the different Ceviche dishes
Wonderful restaurant to go too...service is outstanding and the food even better. Definitely will return next time we here
Great, authentic taste of Peru. Owner is very knowledgeable and gracious.
Delightful experience. Food , service and atmosphere were top notch. Will return every time in Aruba !!
Absolutely delicious food! Would highly recommend for anyone in to Peruvian food. Very authentic and moderately priced.
The food was excellent. The service was very slow...and while that is almost to be expected in Aruba, this was particularly slow. That said, it was worth the wait.
I frequent Peruvian restaurants and I was happy to find that there was a Peruvian option in Aruba. The food was very good and the service was excellent. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who needs their Peruvian chicken fix while on vacation.
Very cute new restaurant on Eagle Beach w/pleasant staff and great menu to choose from
I wish I had the mastery of words to type up something incredible to justify the rating. Our server was great, My wife and I loved our meals. Everything about this place including how close it was to Eagle beach made it an easy 5 star.
Amazing. Terrific food and service
Wonderful Peruvian food! The hostess/owner was very attentive to our needs and explained Peruvian food to us in detail. A memorable experience.
Unfortunately, despite our lovely servers” attempts to apologize, the food was awful. Appetizer came out ice cold...they couldn’t even get re-heating right. Not much of a representation of Peruvian cuisine. Drinks were stingy and more expensive than a comparable drink at the Ritz Carlton.
Service was outstanding our waiter Leslie was knowledgeable on everything and made great suggestions on menu.
I arrived promptly for my reservation at 6pm. I am a solo female traveler. I was seated at 6pm, then ignored in favor of larger groups, until I posted on Facebook that the service had been better the previous year. Then a different waitress asked me if someone had taken my order (they had not), and a host asked me if I had been served (I had not). I didn't receive my first course until 6:50pm, while the larger groups had been served more promptly. I had planned to return for lunch later during my stay, but I changed my mind after receiving such poor service. The food was delicious once the service picked up.
We have been going to Aruba for many years. In our opinion, this one is the best one to date in Aruba. Ambiance, service, food, value..... all excellent. First time also for Peruvian wine and it was outstanding. Would recommend it. This gets and excellent from all four of us who dined there that evening.
We went to Aruba on vacation and ate dinner at Asi Es Mi Peru. Everything was wonderful from the service, food and a wonderful red wine from Peru. Highly recommend. We will return!!
We tried this restaurant not knowing about Peruvian food. The fish was fabulous and the Ceviche was outstanding. It was not an over the top place, but the people were warm, friendly and family.
We are particular about where we dine and what we choose. I would go here again and again for an easy, delicious meal in Aruba.
We enjoyed our visit to this restaurant very much. The tastes of Peru were delicious and inventive, and the service was excellent. Definitely recommend. If we were staying on Aruba longer, I would repeat. It was one of our best meals here.
A wonderful dinner with many authentic Peruvian dished. I had a chicken dish and husband had fresh fish. The cerveche was fabulous.
Stopped by for dinner the other night and once again, had a great meal. We each committed to trying something else this time, and are glad we did. My wife had the Aji di Gallina which was chicken friendly and pretty attentive but they did auction off the food. They add a service charge and the service was worth a bit more. Prices are par for the course for the island and well worth stopping by.
Lots of restaurants aimed at tourists in Aruba are overpriced so that alone didn’t surprise me. But in addition, there was a very long delay between our courses and the Lomo saltado was lackluster. On the plus side, the ambiance was nice and the staff were very friendly It was fine, but there are more affordable and tastier places to eat around eagle beach.
Greatest experience. Best dinner we have had in Aruba in 5 days
Amazing local food - the best cerviche I've had outside Peru!
I don’t understand why this restaurant is getting good reviews. It was awful. From the decor to the food. There are so many good restaurants in Aruba and we were excited to try it. What a waste. I’m sorry, the food was terrible, if not downright disgusting. And we tried a variety of dishes. I did feel the owner/manager was super friendly. I didn’t have the heart to be honest with him.
Great food and friendly staff. Love the Ceviche and Lomo Saltaldo.
Love this place! If you want delishes food and great service try this place, you want be desipointed.
Authentic Peruvian. Don’t waste your time with the tasting for two...get the Lomo soltado..!!
We ate at many fine restairaunts but the food here was unique. A fantastic variety of flavors.
Friendly staff. Great food and unique Peruvian drinks.
