    The food was good but not what I expected. I had a veggie omelette but it was a veggie scramble. I ask for multi grain toast and hot white. The cheese grits were delicious. The bowl of fruit was a couple pieces stuck on tooth pick.

    Didn’t like the set up of the restaurant. Having one large room, lends itself to echoing and loud noises, even when the restaurant wasn’t crowded.  The food was OK but I expected a lot more from the reviews. The poutine was just OK. The halibut was a little dry. The lobster mac & cheese didn’t have enough cheese sauce.  The Steak Frites was tough and lacked flavor. I guess I was just expecting a higher class and quality of dining.

    4 guests, we had a wonderful diner with cocktails before and dessert after. The drinks were great, the food delicious. The waiter was fantastic. Very, very personable. We'll return whenever we again visit our friends in the area.

    Ashlings has a nicely. varied menu and the food. is well prepared and presented. Whether you want a sandwich , salad,or entree, there is plenty to choose from. Servers are attentive and friendly. Caroline, our server, was very competent and has a great sense of humor!

    I was pleasantly surprised by the ambiance and food. I’ve passed this restaurant for the past few years and never thought to check it out. While looking for a restaurant to go to with my friend, I checked out the reviews. I was amazed by the quality of food, seasoned well and great portions. The atmosphere was chill as well. I plan on going back.

    My guests and I enjoyed our experience. The ambience was perfect, service had a small town feel and the food was AMAZING. There were two of us that had the gumbo, it was seasoned great and was certainly a large portion. The other guests had the Red Snapper & the other the Irish Glazed Salmon. For desert I had the key lime pie and another had the brownie skillet. There were no complaints. We all said we will definitely return to try the brunch as well.

    Great, classy neighborhood restaurant. I've been their twice so far and enjoy the food variety from classic American to international options. Love the atmosphere, the diversity of the crowd, and the relaxed vibe.

    This was my first visit and I enjoyed the restaurant. The one negative is that it took the waitress several minutes before coming to our table after being seated. Otherwise, once our order was placed everything came out timely. The food was very good and I would definitely return.

    This restaurant is my go to place when I want good food, service, value, and time with family and friends. They did not disappoint. I had my usual - fish chips. It was fresh and hot. They also offer country themes which this time was Indian. My tried the butter chicken which was authentic and plentiful. We went around 5p, so the restaurant wasn't too crowded. I love this place and will definitely visit again soon.

    This was my second visit to Ashling and 1st time @ brunch. Can I tell you, the chicken and waffle was delicious!! The maple walnut (?) butter. The syrup. The crispy on the outside and soft on the inside waffle. The portion!!! The portion!! The portion! I’m going back! Oh the ambiance is real cool, the place sits in an unassuming location. Staff was very friendly albeit a bit slow. But totally worth it.

    Overall a great experience… friendly hostess, attentive waitress (Ashley) and delicious food. I do wish however that my entree did not arrive cold… nothing worse than cold salmon and risotto. Because we were pressed for time I did not mention the issue to our waitress nor the Mgr when he so kindly stopped by our table to ask if everything was ok since. This was my first time at the restaurant… would love to go back for brunch if I’m ever in the area on a Sunday.

    My friends and I truly enjoyed dining at Ashling Kitchen yesterday for brunch! The food was amazing. We had the shrimp and grits, crab omelet, potatoes, grits, and pancakes. Everything was nice and hot, seasoned perfectly. We were even amazed at the total of our bill. We will definitely be back!

    This is my third or forth visit over the years (I should be going more often!!)We tried the octopus, whiskey salmon, and the catfish special. Everything was tasty and enjoyable. Our waiter was so friendly and attentive. I will definitely continue visiting and recommending Ashling!

    This is my 3rd time at Ashling Kitchen & Bar, and I've yet to be disappointed. The ambiance is very welcoming and the staff are friendly. I've even experienced the manager helping serve food. I measure how good the food of a restaurant is based on their salads because as easy as salads are, many restaurants get it wrong. Well, tmThe Farah Caesar Salad is delicious! I add shrimp to it, and it's amazing. With that said, I've also enjoyed the wings, brussel sprouts, and char grilled octopus. I had the fried green tomatoes, but they lack seasoning. They're not bad but not the best thing on their menu. I have done Happy Hour and dinner and willseasoning. They're not bad but not the best thing on their menu. I have been there for happy hour and for dinner and will be back to try brunch.

    This was our first visit so I hope the bad service was an anomaly. The server didn't seem to know what she was doing. Three of the four meals came out together but the last meal was delayed about 15 minutes (due to them dropping it in the kitchen they told us). When it was brought out, it contained sauce that was requested to be left off due to dairy allergy. When it was brought to their attention, the server and food bringer outer didn't know how to react and stared helplessly at us. There was a half hearted offer to prepare it again but at that point we would have had to wait another 15-20 minutes for the meal. My friend tried unsuccessfully to eat around the sauce. They didn't offer to take it off the bill or anything so it was reflected in the reduced (not zero) tip because it was a collective failure of the server, kitchen and management. Very disappointed since it had such good ratings.

    Each time I’ve eaten at Ashling Kitchen I’ve enjoyed the experience. This place is a bit of a hidden gem in that it’s a tucked away in Crofton. But that’s also one of the things I love about it as well. Never too crowded to get a reservation; it’s a lively environment but never too noisy to be able to hear each other. Most importantly the good is DELICIOUS!!! I strongly recommend the Rasta pasta as it has just the perfect amount of flavor. I can’t say enough positive things about this place, so I’ll just say check it out for yourself and enjoy!

    I love this restaurant; however, the Caesar salad had no shaved cheese and an off-putting taste. The "crab" soup had almost zero crab in it. Very disappointing.

    We have found dining at Ashling to be hit or miss. When it is a hit, there is great food prepared in an excellent manner, with attentive service and an atmosphere where you can hear the person next to you. When it is a complete miss, there is one and perhaps more bland and/or incorrectly prepared food items, inattentive service and/or service with a non-customer service attitude, and a noise level that amplifies other guests very loud (and sometimes piercing) exchanges such that you can barely hear the person sitting across from you. This last visit was the latter, and I'm not sure I will return. To top it off, when a food issue was brought to the attention of the server, instead of just stating she would get a manager, she decided to argue with us to the point of being insulting. Really? That's not an experience I wish to repeat.
