Our tradition has been to celebrate the simple pleasures of life...
Good food - Good drink - Good friends!
We have traversed the continents to bring you a world class selection of beer and ale, from the hoppy British bitters to the dark lagers of South Germany, from the classic Pilsners of Bohemia to the arcane fruit beers of Flanders, from the craft micro-brew beers of the US Pacific northwest to the finest Michigan micro-brews.
There is always something new to try and explore.
Great food, terrible service. Waited a full hour for our first round of drinks. Food was great when it finally arrived. Waiter really struggled with customer service.
Good was not worth it.
Food was way over cooked.
Place is great but est your meal elsewhere.
We waited more than 30 minutes for our food with no explanation. A party of 3, We had a 6:15 reservation, ordered at 6:22, and did not receive our food until after 7 pm. Just before 7 pm, I went up to the host station to inquire about our order because our server was not around. The host’s response was dismissive. I told him I was concerned because we had a concert to attend at 7:30. He said, “well, what do you want?” “There’s a manager here. Is that what you want?” His tone made me uncomfortable. I just walked back to my table. Not a great experience although the food tasted good and it was reasonably priced.
great classic a2 spot to visit. pretty good food, lots of beer choices
Super super slow especially the drinks. 40 minutes to get a round of drinks.
waiter was weird
food choices limited
Would highly recommend this trivia experience to anybody interested.
Took 2hrs to get our dinner
College pub. Don’t mistake this place for a restaurant. Service was terrible. Took 20 minutes to place a drink order, hour to get an appetizer, cancelled our dinner order and left 90 minutes after we ordered it and it still hadn’t come. Go here for a beer but not much else.
Incredibly understaffed for the number of people in the restaurant. Three poor waitresses for the entire restaurant. The food was great, but it took an hour and a half to get it. We had a 730 reservation, finally got food at 915 and then we were missing items. Last person in our group got their food at 945.
After waiting an hour for our food, we checked in with the waiter and he admitted he forgot to put in the order. He never offered to bring us anything “on the house” while we waited another half hour. When the food finally came, only one out of the the three items we ordered was correct. We only sent one back, which never came until we were finished with the other two dinners. He did offer to take that one off the menu. Seriously, the entire meal should have been on the house. Waste of 2 hours.
Our group of 5 was there on a busy Friday night. The food was outstanding but the kitchen was pretty slow taking 45 minutes to get our food. They were doing the best that they could given being short-staffed (as everyone is nowadays). We'll definitely go back but maybe during a quieter time.
Loud and crowded. No space between tables so every chair bumps into the chairs at the adjacent tables. We arrived and were told the kitchen was short staffed and food would take 45 minutes. 75 minutes later our food arrived. Staffing issues arise but management of the situation was poor. No manager came by to check. No one offered a free drink or dessert and nothing was comp’d when the bill came. They did apologize for the delay but why would they continue seating people who are goi g to be unhappy and whose presence is guaranteed to add pressure to the short handed staff? Never again!
Great meal. Food took forever but they were severely short staffed and it was move in weekend! So especially considering that, it was all good. Waitress was surprisingly friendly under the circumstances! We will be back.
so,no printed menu, wifi access only if u supply personal data such as email or phone number and name. So unless you have unlimited data, the place is not recommended. HORRIBLE loudspeaker guy screaming questions probably some trivia game but just not my cup a tea.
Don’t waste your time. Food is just ok. Was hardly busy and service was horrible. Will not be coming back.
They were out of a lot of the beers I wanted to try.
Food and service were great but fruit flies were flying around our table the whole time. We killed four and I found one in my drink.
Love the selection of craft beer. We both had sandwiches and they were tasty and well prepared. I felt the chips were burnt, but I figure some folks might like them that way. Our waitress was attentive and helpful. Nice place to go on a rainy day.
Ate outside. Was seated directly next to other customers when most tables were open. Had to ask several times to be seated away. (Have young kid - cannot be vaccinated.) Food was meh. Stilton fries are similar to what they’ve always been. Smoked tacos were flavorless, smash burger was unremarkable. It was loud - competing drumming groups on the diag made for louder-than-expected din for outside. It never got busy - most tables still open when we left.
What a huge disappointment. The dinner I ordered was to come with coleslaw and a roll. The waitress didn’t even apologize or tell me they were out of both. Instead when I asked about it and I said I would take fries instead-she tried charging me for them. Both my husband and son ordered salads before the entree. Nope- came after the meal. I would never go back here.
Our waitress didn’t write down our order kept returning to ask, ended up getting the order wrong and 2 of the people in our party had to wait almost an hour for their food while everyone else was done eating. Their food came out wrong again, not to mention that for being less than 50% full, the service was extremely slow and below average. I would expect more from such a pricey meal on Father’s Day of all days !
Lobster was the steal of the year
Very busy, short of staff for lobster fest but the young man did the best he could.
Got notice I get zero open table dining points for this reservation. Why is that?
Only problem was 2 ladies in party ordered a salad and it took 30 minutes to get.
The all you can eat lobster dinner was great. The lobsters came out fast and hot
Server did not provide silverware, bib, lobster instruction sheet, or bucket until asked. Cole slaw plates dropped on the table, server disappeared, waited to flag him down for forks.
We ordered a salad. It was served after the lobsters.
Restaurant was not that busy at 3:15 pm. Expected good service.
Reservation was ready when we arrived and our waitress was very friendly. Three of us participated in the lobsterfest special and one ordered from the menu. Our menu diner did not get her food until some time after the rest of the table which was awkward. We did not receive anything in which to place our discarded shells (although we noticed plastic pails on other tables). Food was good, not excellent but good. Only real complaint is the 18% gratuity that was added to our entire bill (even the $32 bottle of wine). This was not disclosed up front so not cool and I let them know that on the bill.
I’ve been to lobsterfest three consecutive years and this year was the worst, I chose outside seating and expected to sit where the nice wooden patio was built out front and we were placed at a dingy tent with big puddles on the road/street that felt like I was at a spring break party and the tables were small and flies were everywhere while we were eating. The server spilled beer on my date’s leg and forgot to bring out the bucket. When the food came out the other server placed the wrong order on our table and left it there because a fly flew on her face. When we signed the check to close out the pen was also out of ink and the server never came back to check on us.
The jar of lobster is an excellent addition but was smaller than we had expected.
How can you go wrong AYCE lobster it was fantastic...Great service!!
The worse in the years I have been coming. No cover on table no bibbs had to ask for silverware after food was served.no refills on icetea ,had to ask for straws had to ask for extra napkins had to ask twice for sweetener for tea.Server acted like we were bothering her.Stopped ordering Lobster too much of a hassle to get server attention then ran to 90 alloted mins and had to leave. My last visit
The meal and atmosphere were great. We were seated right away, about 20 minutes later our waitress took her drink order. About ten-15 minutes later we received our drink order, she took our food order and about 20 minutes later we received our food. It was a timed reservation for an hour and 15 minutes. So 50-55 minutes in we finally received our whole lobsters. We were in the middle of eating her food when the hostess informed we needed to hurry it up and leave because someone was waiting for our table. I found this very rude we are paying customers when you’re doing a time reservation your weight staff should be on top of everything and if they are not the hostess should take this into account and not rudely walk up to a table of customers who are eating and tell them to hurry it up especially when there were several empty tables all around us. We were enjoying our dinner not upset at all at the slowness of the service as we were chitchatting and catching up so it was fine with us that our waitstaff was a little slow we were not offended or upset until the hostess made her rude comments and asked us to leave. I would think when my bill alone was $70 and my dinner companions bill was $60 and probably would’ve been more if we had not been treated so rudely. I probably would’ve had another glass of wine she would’ve probably had another drink and possibly some dessert. The question is would you recommend this restaurant to a friend, I have a hard time not recommending because the beer list was amazing and the food was great. I would probably just warn my friend that the wait staff is slow and the house staff can be rude.
Went for lobster fest had great meal
The lobster tasted as though it had been frozen. Not what I expected when I agreed to $28.00 per plate. Rather disappointing.
We really enjoyed a night out, we have been doing Lobster fest for a few years! Service was excellent!!
I mistakenly thought Ashley’s was a classier place. It’s a college bar. For some this is cool. Not my speed.
Miles was a great server. We had an awesome time as always. Glad to have trivia back!!
