Dynamite lunch and view. Great service. Bellevue’s version of the space needle but with amazing cuisine!
Quality and variety of options for entree and side dishes were terrific! The presentation was fabulous, as was the service! Tyler, our waiter, was terrific!
Great experience, great food, great service, a bit expensive so perfect for a special occasion.
Incredible views make the high prices almost worth it!
We loved everything about it from the view, the food, and the service!
Where the food was great, the service was spectacular. Totally felt taken care of the whole time I was there. Steak was cooked perfectly and the sushi was prepared beautifully. Once the desserts came out they looked too pretty to eat but everyone at our table devoured them. Will definitely be back. Highly recommend Ascend for that Special Occasion when you are craving steak and sushi.
It was a wonderful experience and meal. The only complaint is regarding the volume and selection of music, not exactly "background", was actually irritating. It may be due to our age group as we are not "hipsters". Even if the volume had been a little lower, it would have been more tolerable. The service was outstanding, the cocktails, appetizers, dinner, wine & dessert were absolutely wonderful.
Beautiful table and view. Food was perfect and service excellent
The seafood tower was terrible! Not enough food although advertised for four (4), e.g., two shrimps and only one lobster. The sushi was expensive and the rice had absolutely NO flavor (it should have a slight vinegar taste).
Overpriced, extremely small portions, waiter was rude after I mentioned the food was just ok...
Ascend has amazing views and high quality mix of Asian inspired steak and sushi dishes. The only draw back to this place is the very step price, so make sure you go as part of an expense report and not on your own dime.
Poor experience. Took my wife out for first date after having two kids, and waitress must have been new and we didn't get any attention, messed up the order, added the appetizer with the main course so we didn't get that until very end, and didn't get any bread or crackers till we got our main course. Was excited to go but wont be back in future.
It’s not worth the money that you paid for. Expecting a long time for everything ( beverages, foods, ..)
I am good with the experiment but won’t do it again!!!
The vibe in the restaurant is very classy and upbeat the minute you walk out of the elevators. The view is amazing, although I think going for a mid afternoon early evening date when the sun is still out would be best if you really want to be able to have a good view of both sides of Lake Washington. But it is also a nice view of all the city lights and highways. The staff is very attentive, the menu itself is very elegant and the variety is very good. It was hard to choose! Everything my wife and I ordered was as good as it sounded on the menu. Everyone from the hostess Yolo, who gave us a tour of the place, to our waiter Daniel to the sommelier (yes they have one on duty) were very attentive and awesome. This is now our favorite date spot.
We enjoyed the view and the service was on point. Each dish was expertly prepared. The ambiance is gorgeous. It is very pricy, but perfect for a special occasion. I will return to enjoy happy hour in their amazing lounge.
The service was very attentive the water selection was delicious.
the sushi roll combinations were original and the flavors were exquisite.
The Raw sushi was maybe not the absolute freshest I’ve had. The Pinot Grigio we drank was divine
the view is spectacular and for a special occasion the high prices are worth it.
I came here for a business dinner and service was too slow. Very disappointed as there are too many great restaurants in the area and I had high expectations. With all the people serving the table I felt that more attention to detail should have happened. It started with the raw oyster appetizer. A bad oyster was served and it was obvious due to the smell. Cocktails took too long to serve and be replenished. The kitchen forgot to make half of the dinner order so steaks were served first and the other half of the table had a 10 minute wait or more before it was served. We had to eat our steaks while they sat there. The wrong side dish was also served and I had to wait for the server to come back to fix the issue after dinner was almost finished. Sushi was served with no soy sauce. One of my guests had to leave the table to find someone to get it and this was after the long wait. The manager and waiter did come over to apologize to my business guests but neither asked who made the reservation. I felt like they should have also inquired and spoken directly to the person who was covering the dinner as well. Attention to detail. The Magic Mushroom dessert had great presentation but lacked flavor. We left most of it there. While the restaurant covered the sushi in the end, I felt the gesture came far too late after all the issues through the dinner. The view was great and the steaks were good. I can’t honestly say I would take my business guests back here as this was not enjoyable and expensive for a bad experience. This is a very high end restaurant and you would expect that one would not have so many issues in one sitting.
Expensive, but otherwise perfect in every way.
Great place - really lovely evening. Not cheap but great service and food. Desserts in particular were spectacular
Fantastic. Staff were incredible, food was amazing - and of course, the view was spectacular. Price isn't cheap, but it's well worth it. We will be coming back and recommend to all our friends
This is a beautiful restaurant and a place to show off the regions 360 mountain views. The decor is beautiful, amazing wine list and a concentration of steaks and sushi, all very creative and inventive.
Awesome view. Outstanding food and service. Highly recommended for lunch and dinner.
They forgot to bring us our wine to start off the meal. Then they forgot to bring out our sides. Our $120 steaks got up to room temperature waiting for the rest of our meal to arrive. It was a $600 disappointing dinner. I took a highly valued client to discuss a potential business deal. It really killed the vibe of our meal. Our server kept on interrupting our conversation trying to apologize. The damage had already been done and he was making it worse. I’ve been on many business lunches/dinners. This was by far the worst experience.
Thanks for accommodating our group. View was incredible. Service could be a bit better. Hostess at the front desk was excellent.
Food cost was extremely expensive for the quality
Get the Skyfall and Magic Mushroom desserts. Yummmmmmmmmmmyyyyyyy!
Good food, but way over priced. Second time I’ve been there that bill for two is over $500 and that’s with us bringing our own wine and not ordering anything crazy... Neat place with cool views, but will go to John Howie, Met, El Goucho or Canlis before coming back here...
Delicious food with gorgeous view. Bar on far side of the entire building was way too loud. Especially when the drinkers at table right next to us got seated. :(
We went for a friend’s birthday lunch and had the 31 lives 3 course lunch. Great food and great value for money. The view was amazing and the staff were attentive.
We especially enjoyed the desserts - Halo & Sorbet Trio. They were beautifully plated and delicious.
Lovely ambience and terrific views.
Great food, amazing views, stellar service.
Food was excellent with service to match! Atmosphere amazing!
The service was excellent! They had a good knowledge about the foods! Also the foods so excellent!! Btw, thank you for the birthday dessert!!
Great food and views from the top floor of this prime Lincoln Square location. All the food was tasty and presented well. Only issue is this is by far the most expensive restaurant in the area. Have to weigh for yourself if the view and food outweigh the cost.
Everything was wonderful from food to ambiance, view, wait staff etc. would highly recommend but it is very spendy. It’s for the upper class people.
When you ask about noise level it was fine where we were - is that what you meant. Not overly loud so just right. Five of us celebrated a friend's birthday and we loved our experience. We were there from 7pm - 11pm! The food was amazing and so well presented. So many great elements at Ascend that it's hard to mention them all - amazing view, incredible space and decorating. Such an imaginative menu - we loved everything we ordered. So glad I reserved a Magic Mushroom - it was a huge hit. Amazing. The only thing we would have liked was a round table but we were happy with our spot. Next time we hope to sit in the "petrified forest room" as the view there is incredible. We will be back to spend time in the beautiful bar, too. It's a great restaurant - can't wait for a return visit. Thanks to the staff - they were all wonderful
Our experience for my husband’s birthday at Ascend was very disappointing. I had requested a window table but even though the restaurant was less than a quarter full we didn’t get one. We waited over an hour for our entrees and then they forgot mine!! They had to ask what I had ordered & 20 minutes later it arrived. The manager apologized & comped part of our bill but it turned our birthday celebration into very frustrating and negative experience.
The overall experience was exceptional. The perfect location for a fancy date night.
Food was amazing except for crab macaroni and cheese. Didn’t love the waiter. Drinks were great, bread service was unique and really tasty.
