townhouse has been revived and brought back to life with culinary inspiration from the
great asadors of San Sebastián, Spain to serve the world’s best boutique beef without

    At Asador Bastian we are excited to offer our Chef's Table; a one of a kind experience. Our Chef's Table is located directly across from our kitchen where you will have a full view of our world class chefs at work creating the dishes that make our restaurant so unique. The Chef's Table is an experience created for 6 or 10 guests. A deposit of $150 per person is required for booking this private dining room. The deposit is applied to the final bill.     I was not expecting to be seated at the bar for a $500 meal for two. The hostesses did a terrible job of explaining why we were being put at the bar. The manager was very very nice and came over to explain that we were put at the bar because it would be a better experience than a small high top round. Our experience was great but please prepare your team with creative ways to sell bar dining as a positive experience. Food and servers at bar were excellent. Overall a great experience. Hostesses are the first people your guests interact with and set the mood for the experience so it would be of value to you to train them. Or write down a few phrases they can say to guests to smooth over a situation right off the bat. I will absolutely recommend your restaurant to all my friends and let them know they can expect to be dining at the bar unless they arrive with a larger party.

    The bar table was all we could confirm. It was quaint and great service. We loved it. Best waiter and service. We had just about every appetizer, fun drinks and the steak. Pricey but worth it. Will definitely go back! We had to leave a $90 deposit which was not deducted from our check so I will call and get that sorted out.

    Great food. A bit pricey but unique. Good wine recco. Service started great, forgot about us for about 30 minutes, then finished strong.

    The food was excellent, and our server was wonderful. This is a great place to go if you want a different steak experience: the Galiciana was fabulous and like nothing we have had. Be prepared though. The prices are by the pound, bone in, and you do not get to choose the size. They will tell you what is available. I imagine this works better for parties of more than 2, but couples may not get as much flexibility.

    Amazing experience. Delicious well thought out menu. The steak was to die for, and the side dishes left me wanting more. The ambiance really set the mood of the restaurant. Great selection of cocktails and wine. Highly recommend for an intimate dinner or a birthday. Definitely will come back again and refer others.

    The food is really good, very well done and the drinks are delicious. We had the Holstein and it was fantastic. The tallow potatoes were amazing as was our server Matthew. The servers were high quality, nice, informative and held the quality of the restaurant and experience. The ambience was nice too. My biggest issue was the seating. Despite being a very high end restaurant, in a gorgeous setting, unless you were part of a party that was 6+ people in the three tables you were literally crammed in. Most of the people Including myself were two people. And when I tell you we had no room I mean it. The tables were maybe 4-5 inches apart and the tables were tiny. So much that two glasses and two plates were all that fit. This was weird enough, but then because of the presentation of the meal the server came and presented the different steaks to you. When doing so they came and put it in the side and had to reach in between the tables and lowered it which then meant that the plate of steaks were literally half on the next tables side. It created for awkward and diminishing atmosphere. I noticed this annoyed not just myself but those around me. I did love that they actually went through these steps, but if you’re going to do this you need to make sure you give the space to do so too. There were 5 two person tables on both sides and then three tables of large parties. The large parties got the same amount of space as the ten tables. Which also made me observe that the servers (and you had two - a waiter for ordering + food then one who handled your drinks) were constantly almost running into each other and swarming in the small area between the two rows.

    The bar has an excellent vibe, great craft cocktails, friendly responsive service from the bartender. When we were ushered upstairs to our table, the experience deteriorated from there. I lived in San Sebastian, Spain for six months, became well-versed in the culinary experience, and developed a keen appreciation for Basque food. The food here met my expectations. However, the experience left a lot to be desired. The waiter rushed us, practically attacked us the minute we sat down with an obtuse and somewhat overwhelming outline of the menu, specials, etc. He removed the wine list after I ordered one glass, my husband had yet to place his order. he gave us a full-blown tour of the steak options, including visual aids of the raw meat, before we expressed any interest in ordering them and seemed disappointed when we stuck with the pinchos menu items. We felt rushed, particularly after it was clear it was not going to be an exceedingly expensive tab. furthermore I was charged $90 to hold the reservation. I understand holding a reservation with a credit card, in the event of a no show. It just felt a little punitive to charge the card before we even stepped foot in the restaurant. Tends to tarnish the experience to some degree. All that said, the food we experienced was divine. They’re getting it right, I’m not sure I’d go back though in light of the other elements with the experience.

    Hidden gem in the heart of our city. We live just few blocks away. Unique and original. All dishes were very delicious, made of fresh and high end ingredients! Definitively going back.

    We started with the Tortilla Espanola, cooked to perfection that simply melted in our mouths; from there we had The Octopus A La Plancha and it was amazing! We finished off with the Holstein and our server suggested a great wine for the steak. Our server, Christine, was incredible. She was very attentive, confident and knowledgeable. I can't wait to visit again soon....thank you for a highly enjoyable experience!

    We reserved and paid the deposit for a bar seating for the bar menu, but were seated in the main dining room. We were given the regular menu. The waiter was nice and explained everything. I then asked why we were seated in the main dining room and given the regular menu. He explained that there was a private event in the bar area and apologized that we were not notified by the staff. I asked if we can still order from the bar menu. He said he would check with manager and later came back with the bar menu. The food and drinks were excellent and reasonably priced for the bar menu. However we feel that the regular menu is way overpriced, even for special occasions. Also the fact that no one, from the hostesses to the waiter, let us know the issue when we checked in left a bad taste in our mouth. Even though the food was excellent (especially the carne crudo), and the service was good after the issue is settled, we probably will not return.

    Food was outstanding, setting was classy, service generally good but didn’t like that we (2p) were not informed about the steak size being almost 2lb, expecting a 1lb steak as we already ordered half the appetizer menu + octopus before. Even explicitly asked about portion size and waiters did not raise it (“comes by the pound”). Pretty strange so left with a bad aftertaste.
