My favorite kind of restaurant- a cultural experience that is also delicious! My husband had lived a couple years in Afghanistan and said the food tasted just like he remembered. The service was fast and with warmth, and the owner took time to let my spouse try out their Dari. Come out and support this unique restaurant! A gem in Greenville!
Food was unbelievably well seasoned and delicious. The owner answered all my questions about dietary restrictions and directed me accordingly for my order. He and the staff were friendly and accommodating. I had the lambs and my wife got the beef. Both bad amazing flavor. Portions were adequate as well. Overall amazing experience!!
The meal exceeded expectations! The courteousness of the staff was terrific! The staff even combined three reservations into one for us to all dine at one table! Nearby saving them more space for other customers.
We love this place! Great food, casual atmosphere , friendly & helpful owners.... and did I mention Great Food.
Food was excellent! We waited an exceptionally long time to have our order taken, and when the food came they forgot our salads. The food was so good that it made up for the service! We will definitely be back!
Food was good but slow to arrive. Service was very slow. Restaurant was noisy and it was hard to have a conversation across the table.
Delicious food and attentive service. When I am in the area I will definitely be back.
The dining room was not fancy so not a lot of points for ambiance but the food was absolutely delishious! I had the beef/chicken combo. My wife had the lamb. Both were fantastic. The dumpling appetizer was great too. If you like international foods I Highly recommend it. They are only open 1 evening per week (Sat).
Absolutely amazing!!! We can't wait to go back again.
Excellent food, wonderful flavors.
I would enjoy a glass of wine but not available
We will definitely go again.
My fiance and I love eating at Aryana! We first discovered this restaurant about a year and a half ago. The food is always great and the service is better! We brought my fiance's sister's to have dinner together and we all had a great time. :)
Food was excellent with good portion size. Limited menu which is nice and price affordable so a couple could taste the entire menu for under $50. Nice addition to Greenville. No alcohol on menu, but based on observation others brought their own bottle of wine. Would definitely return.
Food was very good! Service was rather slow.
Enjoyed this introduction to Afghan cuisine. Menu is limited but sufficient and enjoyable.
Absolutely outstanding food—even the cardamom tea is delicious! The service is great, the ambiance is pleasant and the price is totally reasonable. It is a treat to go there! I highly recommend that you try Aryana!
A casual and delicious experience in Greenville. Wonderful flavors and friendly atmosphere. Healthy dining at an affordable price.
The cauliflower is amazing! Very nice place.
Just a note that there is no alcohol served.
I got the mixed kofta and chicken kebob. I’ve had plenty of kebobs, but the chicken in particular was the best I’ve had. My 8 year old son agreed. Owner was friendly and answered my kids’ questions about the oil lamps. Atmosphere was pleasant.
What a special treat! We were in Greenville just for the weekend, and would absolutely come back here next time we are in town. We both had the vegetarian plate, and the flavors were amazing, the servings generous. I also had the Fernee for dessert (even though I didn't feel I had room!) and it was light, refreshing, and the perfect way to end the meal.
Love this place. Vegetarian will not disappoint! Owners are super nice and helpful if you are not familiar with the menu. We will definitely be back.
The food was spectacular and the service very friendly and helpful. I love ethnic food that isn’t “fusion” or mega-expensive and Americanized. The food is just really solidly delicious and I love that the menu is simple.
What a great surprise! Tucked into a corner of downtown Greenville rarely visited by tourists, Aryana is a destination restaurant. I had heard from friends that it was really good, and we were so happy to finally get an opportunity to try it. We tried both apps on the menu and both were delicious. I had a beef kebob, rice with carrots and raisins and chick peas. My son had the lamb shank with the same sides. The style is Afghan home cooking. It was great! The server answered all of our questions and did a great job. I recommend the restaurant highly. It is worth walking two extra blocks to get to on East Coffee Street.
The food is excellent, also try their spiced tea, appetizers were good too. You can pretty much order anything and like it if you like this type of food.
Fabulous and friendly and really wonderful cuisine
Fabulous cuisine, immaculate and great owners and staff.
Excellent food and service. Great value. Spartan atmosphere.
Wonderful authentic Afghan food in a comfortable, casual environment. Flavors are unique and extremely flavorful.
This is a MUST try. I highly recommend the lamb shank and chicken kebabs
Very friendly staff and a nice quiet atmosphere. Everyone from families to couples and still a very pleasant dining experience.
Good was excellent.
Will be back soon.
I would highly recommend this restaurant. The food was well prepared and service was excellent. I will be going back to eat at Aryana again.
The food was great, the kabob was very close to Iranian food. Service is great.
This was our first experience with Aryana and it was amazing. It was an awesome culinary adventure and we will be back.
