Arya Steakhouse - Redwood City
We had a pleasant meal outdoors under an umbrella. Michael was very attentive waiting on us.
A good experience, as always at Arya.
Awesome ! Gladly enjoyed the meal!
Very nice place to dine considering the Covid 19 situation.
Staff was very friendly and made sure to adhere to Covid safety protocol. Food was absolutely delicious. Little windy and an umbrella / tableware toppled over nearby. Staff were prompt to address the situation however a few remnants of broken candle holder remained on the ground. It was not busy so team could have been more conscientious on making sure the dining area was free from debris and all furniture were securely fastened. Otherwise we had a perfect meal and will return again very soon!
Servers are very attentive, friendly & helpful.
We’ll definitely be back!
Everything was great except dessert. The lava cake is not so great. It's edible, but not delicious. Compact cake. We wouldn't order it again
6 people paid 475$. Why ? A Bit pricy but cowboy steak was good !
Wonderful food paired with great service. Staff (Jennifer) was warm, welcoming and friendly. We did not have to wait too long for our food. We love the steak, it was perfectly done (juicy inside but crispy on the outside). Cream of mushroom soup is my favorite. Overall great experience for outdoor dining.
Food was great for the price. The service was excellent. Not sure it was because of the Covid 19 situation that allowed the service to concentrate more on the customers. All around was great experience even without the bellydancers.
Thank you so much for choosing to dine with us, as a family owned business we appreciate it so much. We are doing our best to provide the best and safest dining experience for our guests! Thank you again, Fera
Great experience. Staff was very clean and friendly
Very friendly and courteous staff. Waiter made very nice recommendations. Staff was attentive and had a pleasant surprise for our anniversary visit. Plenty of space outside to comfortably eat. We’ll be back to eat soon!
Food was delicious. However, I ordered a dry aged 12 oz ribeye, and it did not taste dry aged at all, which is unfortunate given it’s pricier than regular 12 oz ribeyes.
Nonetheless it tasted great ! My wife also enjoyed the ñoquis very much.
We came the first day they were allowed to have people outside only due to the virus constraints. We enjoyed being able to go to this restaurant and actually sit down and not get food to go. We had appetizers, main course and desserts. Everything was delicious and the service was excellent.
Thank you so much for visiting with us, we appreciate it so much! We look forward to having you again! Fera
We received excellent service. The food was delicious and the server was very knowledgeable.
Great service and the food was amazing. The steak and the twice baked potato was great.
First time at this restaurant! Will definitely come back but a few comments. Our waiter was very efficient and professional but had no personality and offered no help with selections! We felt that he was there just to fill in his time or he was not in a good mood. We noticed that a another lady waitress was very nice and was helping her customers with a lot more inthusasim. Will definitely ask for her the next time we go !
Atmosphere was really nice and great ambiance!
As far as the food all ok except we found our our chicken and lamb to be very dry and over cooked!
The same with the dessert. The baklova was so hard and dry and did not seem freash at all. The molten cake was anything but molten. Prices a little too high for what we got.
Our first visit to Arya. Our waitress was very friendly and welcoming. I ordered the mushroom soup, another waiter brought me a bowl of mushrooms... he returned and said that was a mistake, the order belonged at another table. My soup came and it was wonderful - highlight of the meal, great flavor and loaded with mushrooms. Our entres came to the table before I was even half way thru the soup. My husband couldn't start his meal as we had to wait for a steak knife. He was a little disappointed with his steak, felt it had a seasoning or marinade flavor that he wasn't really enjoying - and he's not a picky eater at all. I ordered the red velvet salmon. My salmon was a little overcooked and overwhelmed by the cherry sauce. Prices are a little high, especially for the wine list. Nice staff but I don't think we'll be back.
The restaurant is well decorated and comfortable. Our water glasses were never empty. The starters of Mushroom soup and the garden salad with a delicious creamy dressing were both delicious. The bread and accompaniments were also good. The flavors of the Red Velvet Salmon worked well together and made for a delicious and tasty meal. The presentation was colorful. The Lamb Shank was a great disappointment. The broth that the lamb shank came in was tasteless. The lamb shank itself was dry and tasted old. We did ask for it to be put in a box to take home. Sadly, when we got home, the shank with half the meat still on it, was not included. This was a yin and yang dinner.
I took my Mother here for Valentine's Dinner and it was amazing! The waitress really made us feel like we were her VIP guests! She was great! And the food was amazing, my mom loved it and so did I! I'll be coming back for their Dry Aged Ribeye steak!
Experience sould have been better. Food nothing special. Go to Kabul instead.
Undistinguished food, pleasant wait staff but VERY slow service on a Sunday evening (6:30 pm) with some empty tables
Worst experience ever! They should change the name of this restaurant to Arya Serious?! Been wanting to try this place for awhile and finally decided to go on Valentine’s Day. Made a reservation for 7:30. When we arrived the restaurant was about 50% full. We went to the host stand and had 4 employees walk by us and not say a word to us. I finally pinpointed the host which was in the dining room and said HELLO to her to which she replied back to me across the dining room “I will be with you in a minute”. She comes and seats us in the dining room to the left.. which was half full.. tons of booths available but she decides to seat us right next to another couple at a table. Not the biggest deal but on Valentine’s Day when you clearly have space you should be giving the best table in the house. Server came to our table and greets us with “what are you having to drink?” No hello, no my name is... no happy Valentine’s Day no nothing. To which I respond I don’t know because I don’t have a drink menu. He leaves the table to get one and brings it to us. We then order our dinner and drinks which by the way the soju margarita is delicious!! Appetizer comes and it was great.. humus and cauliflower. I noticed, being that I am so close to the table next to me, that they are putting some type of red spice on their humus appetizer and I noticed every table in the restaurant has a container of this spice except ours. No big deal.. I grabbed the spice container from the empty table behind us. It was sooo good! Then I thought maybe some salt and pepper would be good on the cauliflower too. Picked up the salt shaker to find out it is empty.. also not a big deal until I noticed they are using scotch tape on the bottom of their salt AND pepper shakers instead of the cork or whatever it was to hold the salt and pepper inside the shakers. Then the soup comes.. pomegranate yogurt soup topped with walnuts. Gross! So much more to say but not enough space allowed! Do not eat here.. we left!!!
Dined on the Valentine’s Day. Prefixe menu, nice hummus appetizer with sweet pepper, interesting soup with pomegranate seeds, and a choice of main dishes, plus dessert. I had lamb chops: they were nicely cooked, but a little too salty for my taste. The grilled Roma tomato was served whole and hard to eat. Basmati rice was well cooked. The dish was served on a flat slab of wood cut to resemble a tree cross-section: cute but food tended to fall off. The dinner felt a little off: the tables were just too small, the menus were not given to us once we were seated, the cutlery was wrong for the dishes we ordered, the wine list was too restrictive, the sauces were not sublime. So, I’d come back if I have a mid week kabob craving, but as a dinner event, Arya did not astound.
Food was amazing- can’t say enough about it!’ And the service was phenomenal’ will be back
Thank you so much for your visit, we appreciate your Review, we look forward to having you back soon! Fera
First time at this restaurant. They had a very diverse and creative menu. Really enjoyed the falafel wrap!
The food and the service were both great. The gentleman who waited on us needs to be commended for his courteous service. I Will be back here many more times.
Thank you so much for choosing to dine with us, We look forward to having you again! Fera
Great place for a special NYE dinner.
It's hard to recommend this place to friends or family mainly due to their service. At the time of arrival, I told them my name and reservation time but she just left me without telling me anything and did not come back. So a while later, I explained the situation to the other person and she seated us to a table. After we were seated, no one came to take an order and people who seated after us got their food while we were waiting for someone to come. It was even hard to ask, because no one was coming near to our table. After I asked them to take an order, the food took an hour to come out and people in the restaurant started to leave. And we didn't even get the drink menu in the first place. And please not call customers sweetheart especially when they are over 30, they are not your kids.
Love the Persian specialties. Large portions is the norm, especially with the rice (served on the side with almost every dish). Good service for a busy evening. We'll be back.
Went there for anniversary/new year eve date. Disappointed due to slow service. Food was ok I. My books but not for the price.
They brought soup and less than 3 minutes later entrees arrived
Thank you so much for your visit, and we are sorry the timing on your entrees and soup were not correct, we will work on getting the service rating better. We look forward to another visit with you. thank you so much, Fera
Food and presentation is excellent. Attentive server. Had the bone marrow but not much marrow in only two bones which I thought was a bit pricey. Overall a very good experience which I would return again.
Excellent food, wonderful service, we had a wonderful New Year's Eve dinner
Best steak house around! I love the New York on top of roasted potatoes! Cooked to perfection always! Great service too!
Excellent experience all around
Well done Arya!
We ordered a half dozen oyster, and they brought up a oyster Rockefeller, and the waiter tried to convince us to take it since it was “the last order of it”. We ordered the tomahawk steak, and it came at the same time as the appetizer, and went back to kitchen until we were ready. And while we were actually one of the early customer for their dinner service, by the time we were ready for dessert, they already ran out of 2 of their dessert items. After all as a Christmas Eve dinner experience, it wasn’t pleasant.
The food was excellent and the service was lovely. The owner was very amiable and clearly enjoys his work. I loved it and would recommend it.
The Service and Seating was good. The Food was above average in taste and presentation. The Variety of selection is a Real Plus. Beverage selection was adequate.
Desserts requires a better selection to My taste.
Parking Validation is ok...but better in done on Premises.
Yes, I would recommend to friends.
We took my parents out for their last night visiting us out here and had an excellent time! Jennifer was great through the night, with spot on food and wine recommendations! (Thank you!) We had a wonderful evening.
This place looks great on paper and from the outside. It’s average at best. The cucumber dip was good. Don’t get the seafood tower. Wasn’t fresh and some of the crab and shrimp were still half frozen. Oysters were gross. Server said their steaks were better than Ruth’s Chris. I’ve had better steaks at Outback. Server proudly brought out a box of steak knives. The three of us each chose our “weapons.” You would have had to heat it up to get through a stick of butter. The Coronas were nice and cold.
Hello, I am so sorry about your experience with the tower, and the Steak knives. We will definitely work on correcting that, we do hope you give us another try so we can show you our best. Fera
