Arya Global Cuisine Ratings and Reviews
First time here; greeted at the door by young lady...very pleasant, smiling, welcoming. Calamari appetizer came recommended...very light; must order again. Yogurt with mint/diced cucumbers accompanied with bread...very good. Had salmon for my lady; seafood platter for me; both very tasty and sizeable portion. Also had a pre-dinner cocktail. Service was fast; hostess was pleasant/friendly. She suggested a few options which were appreciated...soup for example...very good. Will go back and see about dining during evening entertainment. Positive visit and a keeper. Yes, will bring friends here.
We went there for early evening dinner with my two young boys and my husband. As soon as we sat down we ordered for the kids right away. They have a kids menu but essentially it’s just chicken with rice or beef with rice and then a pasta spaghetti dish. So we ended up ordering one chicken and one beef with rice dish. Then we ordered for salads appetizers in the main course. However what ended up happening is they forgot the kids dish and they were super hungry so they ended up eating our food and their plates came out after they had already finished. Waitress said they forgot to make the food!!’
Overall food tasted good but definitely not worth over $20 per dish. They have different rice dishes like dill rice with lentils and rice with cranberries and plain yellow rice which all were good. The cranberry rice was a a bit too tart and sweet for me personally.
They supposedly have belly dancers and live band after 8:30pm. I’m not sure if I would come back but I think for take out would be fine.
We have been to their Redwood City location multiple times and have enjoyed the experience every time. This was our first visit to the Cupertino location and possibly the last.
- we were one of two families at the restaurant and it was difficult to get the wait staff's attention. The entire staff seemed busy focusing on a wedding reception.
- bread was right out of the refrigerator. Our appetizer arrived with the main order and the bread arrived shortly thereafter.
- we complained about the bread to the waiter who dismissed our comments and attributed it to the incompetent kitchen crew.
- the manager overheard our complaint and stopped by to inquire. At that point the waiter and someone from the kitchen both started defending their respective positions.
Overall, the experience was less than satisfactory. We'll probably not return to this location.
We went for my birthday dinner and we're running late, we called the restaurant and they were more than accommodating! Sat down order some appetizers, our waitress recommended a few dishes which we ordered and they were amazing! "BEST LAMB CHOPS" I have ever ate.... the ONLY thing that I give a thumbs down too is they ran out of creme brûlée and didn't offer to comp a dessert. Other than that I will be back and would recommend to anyone looking for good Persian food !
It was a great night out for all 12 yrs old to 80. We wanted something different and to be entertained. Nice wine, belly dancing and a pleasant waiter. Not the place for a quiet date on a Friday night, there was a wedding rehearsal dinner and large groups. It was lively and fun.
Excellent Iranian cuisine complete with a decent vegetarian menu. Very attentive service with clear knowledge of the menu - felt more like the staff were family members rather than hired help. Food is extremely tasty and moderately priced. Restaurant felt a little empty at 7PM on a Friday, but we discovered that by 9PM, the entire restaurant had filled with larger parties enjoying a late dinner along with belly dancing entertainment. All six of us loved the experience and plan to return.
We came with a large party to celebrate Father's day and was seated indoors. We thought it was odd we were the only ones there, then realized most people were seated in the patio, which was brighter and nicer. Our server was mediocre and wasn't very helpful in explaining the dishes. Food was disappointing, I've had better Meditteranean food. Meat and fish were dry, and the curry sauce dish I ordered wasn't what we expected and tasted bad. The server had made a bad recommendation on this. Unfortunately, will not be coming back.
Went to Arya's for Mother's Day brunch and the dining experience was average. It was a buffet brunch and drinks (champagne, coffee/tea, juice) were included which is nice. Food selection was average and there was no carving station for meats. The beef roast and leg of lamb were placed out on cutting boards and pre- sliced. Meats were cold which is OK if you want cold cuts. Chicken kebabs tasted dry and the seafood (small peeled shrimp and mussels) was drowning in cold water (actually, melted ice). Had to fish the mussels out of the water. Service was good and drinks got replenished frequently.
Went to Arya Cupertino with a few colleagues and business partners for dinner. The food and service was excellent. The Meze platter and the Sambosa were great. Great for an evening with friends and conversations over drinks/coffee. Would most certainly recommend.
The place is large and nicely decorated. Arya had an extensive menu including traditional Persian and Italian dishes . I ordered the zereshk polo and a bowl of ash. The ash looked very good but upon tasting it, it lacked flavor. The chicken in the zereshk polo was a flavorless piece of chicken breast meat resting in a very thin and flavorless broth. The "spicy" chutney was not spicy at all. The food was begging for flavor. My wife ordered some sort of chicken kabob and her dish was more flavorful. We eat at Persian restaurants quite often and normally the spicy flavors really explode.
We were there for Persian New Year. Our table was extremely small for 10 people. The quality of the food was gone down compare to our previous visits. It was a prefix menu, however we were charged $30 more for some dishes when we got our bill. We had to tell our server & the error was fixed.
My event was accommodated according to my instructions. Lisa and staff took care of us the entire evening making sure that my guest are provided prompt service. I will definitely, come back and will recommend Arya Restaurant to my clients, family and real estate colleague.
They definitely made up from our last event for my sister's special occasion.
Seating very slow past reservation time and put in out of way table where couldn't see belly dancing. Was not permitted to sit at available table bar area which I requested near the belly dancing. Felt we received " not a regular here "treatment. Food interesting, but not gourmet.
We loved the restaurant, the only thing is that we missed the show (live music and belly dancing that is only on fridays and saturdays at 8:30 pm), also I thought is a little over price, but food was very good, my recommendations is book early if you want to see the show and highly recommend for night dates or romantic. We definitely will come back for special ocassions.
