Arturo’s Ristorante Ratings and Reviews
We were seated in the back room. There was a party at the back of room. Our table was in the center of the room. Very awkward. I asked the server if perhaps we could be seated at a different table. She went and got manger, he informed us there were no another tables. But , clearly there were plenty. And some were still vacant when we left. We constantly had servers up and down the aisle. There should not have been so many tables where a party was taking place.
You were constantly getting bumped.
My husband and I had a fabulous early evening New Year’s Eve dinner at Arturo’s, nestled in a nook that I requested with delicious food that I kept raving about, a great margarita that I kept raving about, and the best server who was so attentive. I had pesto crusted salmon with mashed potato and green beans, a 10! My husband had chicken parm with flat noodles, he gave it a 10! We finished with coffee and gelato and our night was perfect!!
This was not my first time dining at Arturo's as I work up the street and frequently get lunch. I was pleasantly surprised when I saw they were open New Year's Eve. A server myself I understand the sacrifice of working holidays so I'm sure the staff aren't all thrilled to work, let alone a day they otherwise are not open. I came for a very late lunch/early dinner with my daughters. The food, as always, was delicious. I highly recommend the Bolognese. To die for, my daughters even loved it. My older daughter's birthday is in a couple days and she asked to come back...the specials they were offering sounded amazing and one of these days I'll have to try something new! Keep up the great work, delicious food, great service. Can't go wrong with this place!
I was really disappointed with our meal and service. We have been there a few times in the past and recommended to friends that we invited that night. The service was awful. Our waitress seemed like it was her first night, but a night that she was not trying either! Food was OK, not great. And given the service, we were looking forward to a fun night out with friends and a good meal. very disappointed, to the point that I am writing this review and do not think we will go back!
I am a frequent diner at Arturos, and while I always enjoy my time there, and the food doesn't disappoint, I feel compelled to finally air my frustration with the management and their apparent disregard for their customers. Let me explain. Arturos has a bar area with several hightop tables that offer bar specials until 6pm. Management has repeatedly stated they do not accept reservations, so we will arrive early to grab a table. At which time we are told they are reserved! Yet they do not accept reservations..except for friends of the owner, friends of the manager or if you know the secret word of the day! This has happened on more occasions than I care to recall. The final straw was this reservation which specifically asked if I wanted a high top table (the bar). I clicked yes, and my reservation was confirmed. I arrive and once again am told I they do not reserve those tables. When I showed my confirmation, after the front of house manager said it couldn't be, inferring me of fabrication, he then proclaimed that he doesn't know "how that could happen". To this I replied that Open Table would only have what they were given, his feeble response was "Yes. I'll have to look into this."
I am perfectly fine if they do not accept reservations for the bar, and I fully understand the reasons why they may not. What I cannot accept is the lack of transparency about their process, the apparent lack of consistency, and mostly the arrogance and lack of hospitality from the front of house (excluding of course the waitstaff and bar staff who are terrific).
If only we had more options in the immediate area. Arturo's please get it together. There are many of us out there who are looking for other options because of this one issue.
My guest Deb and I were greeted warmly by the restaurant staff including our server Tim. Tim is the best server at the Arturo's in Westborough, MA. He is welcoming, courteous, efficient and professional. Our meals were prepared to our order and delivered to us timely. Tim came over several times to check. Happy holidays to all at the Arturo's! We had plans to do some errands in Westboro, so I made a reservation to eat at Arturos since it was nearby. My husband had never been, but I had been for 1-2 work events. The food is really good! I had butternut squash pasta dish and my husband had fruit de mare. Also had meatballs to start. Yummy! Restaurant and bar area were busy...nice vibe overall in the restaurant. Pricing also quite reasonable. We'd definitely go back for a yummy, casual Italian meal.
I had the risotto special which had shrimp, shrimp was well prepared but the risotto fell short of my expectations. I had the caprese and was diappointing as well, balsamic drizzle was not very flavorful and not reduced enough. Our bill for 4 came to 340.00 and for that amount of money I feel the food should have been far superior. My friends meals were ok, nothing I would rush back for. We were overall a bit disappointed and will not go back.
Our sever John S was welcoming, courteous, professional and efficient. He was helpful in selecting a bottle of wine. My two guests and I enjoyed our appetizers Shrimp Cocktail, Fried Squids, our special soup and salad, our drink white wine and our main course Frutti di Mare. Our dessert Lemon Cello Cake was delicious. A few staff members including Tim welcomed us warmly. Thank you very much for making our dining experience memorable. Happy holidays to all of you at Arturo's! Y.S. Kim
