Arturo’s Ristorante Ratings and Reviews
If you have read my other reviews then you will see that I love Arturo's. This past Sunday was an off night. We waited 45 minutes to get a drink. Without a drink people just sit there seething. Everything was slow as molasses. Maybe Arturo's is now a victim of their own success?
We were there on a busy Saturday night. Our reservation was at 7:15pm and we were not seated until 8:00pm, to make up for the delay the restaurant did comp our first round of drinks, which was appreciated. Once we were finally seated initial service was very slow. When we finally ordered our food it came out fairly quickly.
I've been to this restaurant several times before and have never had such poor service. I would go back but probably not on the weekend.
Great food, fantastic desserts, great service! Had the special of beef over linguini with fresh spinach, tomato, and lemon it was a good sized plate and delicious. The beef was super tender and reminded me of my grandmothers in her sauce. No knife needed. The chocolate flourless cake is unbelievable!
Overall an average experience. Dining room set up and decor set up more like a function hall. Service was okay but a bit slow with requests for things like grated cheese or a spoon. Dining room needs an upgrade. Eggplant parm was partially breaded with a dolllop of cheese and sauce. Pasta options limited to two options.
Our server was slow to come over. We waited over 5 minutes without drink service. She finally came over after greeting her party of six, to tell us that she would be right over. Apps were good Mista salad, cherry pepper calamari. pasta di napoli was nasty. smelled like old fish gone bad and had 2 shells in it.
We are frequent goers to Arturo's on Friday evenings after long work week. They never let us down with wonderful food and friendly gracious service. I had the bolanase and my wife had the fish special both were very tasty and as usual made to our liking. Waitress was exceptionally gracious and very accommodating . At end of meal gave us complimentary after dinner wine which was outstanding
We had a good-sized group at Arturo's on a Saturday night for my husband's birthday. The dining room was full but we had very attentive service. High points: the calamari is very lightly breaded, crispy and not overcooked; we all fought over favorite bits in the antipasti. My in-laws raved over their main dishes off the specials, my daughter loved her lobster ravioli and son enjoyed his go-to chicken parm. The only dish that wasn't entirely a success was my risotto with scallops -- the scallops were perfectly cooked but the rice was a bit too sticky and clumpy for risotto. Tasted terrific, though.
I went to Arturo's on a whim. I was in the area for a conference and decided to go out to dinner alone, something I've never really done. I was a bit nervous about eating alone, especially at such an upscale establishment, but Sherry made me feel comfortable in my surroundings. She was encouraging, helped me figure out some nice wine pairings for my amazing pizza (highly recommended!), and overall made my experience extremely positive. I walked into Arturo's a ball of nerves and left a very satisfied customer.
If I ever go back to the Worcester area, I'm definitely stopping back!
Enjoyed our dinner at Arturo's as usual. Service was fine and timing of the kitchen perfect. Tried a new dish tonight... Toscano Chicken, very nice... served with a few eggplant raviolis. Meatball app and a few other pastas rounded out a nice family meal. Peroni beer on tap.
In the past I've eaten lunch at Arturo's. It was always excellent, and the friends I was with, were also happy with their meal. This is the first time that I, and my friends, have eaten dinner at Arturo's. The food, service, and ambiance were wonderful. We will be back!
We went in on an unusually busy Monday. Thankfully I made a reservation otherwise the wait was 45 minutes. Our waitress Jackie was very nice and pleasant and got our drinks immediately. My issue was the food and I will start by saying we go to Arturo's often and usually have a great meal. That night our entrees were all off. Three of the four were overcooked and one came out incorrect. They were also delivered to the table at three different times so one person had to wait for their meal while others had theirs. Again I feel this was an off night for Arturo's as we have been in many times before and not had an issue. I almost didn't write a review. I will most certainly go back and have both lunch and dinner again.
Dinner last Saturday evening was pleasant. Though the specific seating area we had requested was not available, we were apologized to and offered an area which was in a quieter section of the restaurant. Our server was very attentive. The calamari appetizer was fine. My husband was very pleased with the fruitti de mare.....not a drop left on his plate! I had the egg plant rollatini, which were also very well done. No dessert....we were trying to behave!!! I think that acoustic panels were placed in the ceiling since the last time we were here - the noise level is much m ore tolerable. We will likely return.
I find Arturo's to be "healthy" Italian if there is any such thing. The pasta is not drenched in oils or heavy sauces. It's very light and certainly fresh. What I love most is they cater to Celiac offering a GF bread as well as Pasta dishes. My 4yr old was in her glory!!!
They had perceco by the glass I asked for a bottle & it seemed to be a mystery. Finally came. Food was generally good. The " fabulous meatballs" we're good & priced right but not special. Veal Parma was tender. Rolled veal was tasty but tough. Oil dip for bread was good. Garlicky. Antipasto was nice. Cheese prochuto large Ives mushrooms etc.
Staff twice tried to clear before everyone was done eating. Both times I asked them to wait until we were all done. My pet peeve.
4 people I bottle wine 2 beers 1 antipasto 4 dinners $150. Very reasonable. Good Deal for the $.
Every meal does not need to be gourmet. I would go back.
My guest and I dined at Arturo's Tuesday May 26th, 2015. We sat in the booth farthest away from the front door. I noticeed a mosquito flying over my food....then another, and several more. My guest had to swat them off his arms...it was pretty embarrassing. I have never seen mosquiotoes in a nice dining establishment.
Because of memorial day traffic we had to change time by 30 minutes they were very accommodating. I had requested a quite table because two in the party use hearing aids and where they sat us enabled us all to easily converse. The waiter was great. One would suspect he was trained in one of Europe's finest restaurants. The food was great and the presentation first class. They did not rush us when e finished our meal. Our visiting family members were very impressed with their experience. One said "You would think you were dinning in a high end restaurant in Boston.
