We had a very nice pre-theater lunch. We were impressed that we were not rushed - we expected they might want to turn the table but that didn’t happen. Very lovely lunch before a great play at Hobby Center.
Our waitress was attentive and helpful with menu options. The salmon on salads was delicious. We were served well and gently even though everybody in the restaurant needed to be out at the same time for a show.
Artista is always just average for the price. Our service this time was pretty awful. The only reason we go there is it's convenience to the theatre before a show. I don't think I'd go there otherwise.
Overall we had a great dining experience; even though 2 out the 3 bottles of wine we selected were not available.
The food and service were outstanding. We were there before a show and it was so convenient.
Good menu, food was well presented, staff friendly and professional, ambience was very good for a business meeting.
Not sure if they are under new management... i love good wine, and most days do not mind paying for great wine, however, a house wine should not be $16.95 a glass!!!!!
After making a reservation 2 months in advance, we were seated in the upstairs area that looked like an afterthought. Better suited for a Chinese Buffett, not a 200 dollar dinner for two. I requested we be seated downstairs, and the manager told us everything downstairs is "reserved for big donors of the hobby center" and there was nothing he could do. This definitely made us feel second class and unappreciated. Never going back.

Our reservation was for lunch. We were unaware that Artista was under new ownership which did not include a prix fixe or lunch menu, only a pricey dinner menu. Our meal was well prepared and presented but not worth the excessive price. Our server was pleasant but poorly trained, we waited at various times for simple things like placing our orders, bringing a requested beverage straw and additional napkin and after 90 minutes we had to ask for the check in order to rush to our theater seats. It's unlikely that we will return.
Highly recommended! The unique location of the restaurant offers a view of downtown. The service was very dependable and prompt, and the food was delicious!

Food quality and size of proportions not represented as per the menu. Did not have hot tea as on the menu. Service was good.
The food was tasty and our waiter was in training, he made some rookie mistakes but that wasn't what bothered me. I ordered the trio which is three meats: lobster, fish and steak. The plate I received only had the steak and lobster. I pointed it out to the manager and he offered a free dessert. I politely declined as we had a VIP Experance before the Nutcracker and they would be serving sweets. He then offered to bring out the missing fish. I, again, declined because the VIP Experance was starting soon and I didn't want my daughter sitting in a restaurant waiting on my fish when she could be enjoying something I payed for. The manager went back-and-forth with me a bit before finally agreeing to ajust my bill. Upon receiving the bill a discovered my bill was adjusted $5. HE TOOK $5 OFF OF A $120 BILL! I took it as a big F-you. The meal cost $48 and I only received one third of it, one third of 48 is 16, not 5. Taking half off the meal would have been acceptable and appreciated or even $20 off, but $5... why bother.
Other than the manager, our experience was a nice one.
Beware!! They have eliminated the Matinee menu and not added a lunch menu. $38 dollar entrees and up for lunch! $5 plate charge when we split the fish. Food was good quality and service was good as always. However, it’s really an awkward lunch menu. Maybe add some salads with protein? Or soup and salad combos? Many people spent a lot of time looking at the menu confused and then ordered off the appetizer menu or soups/salads and that was it. Probably won’t be back unless the menu offerings improve. What happened to the excellent halibut? Plaintain crusted chicken? Burger? All had been eliminated. Have been going to the restaurant since it opened and always look forward to going before a show. Very disappointed.
I am disappointed they removed the lunch menu and increased their prices. Sadly I’d encourage others to look elsewhere for better value for money.
Great food and Service as always! We come here before the theatre and they have a great atmosphere.
I have been to the restaurant many times in the past, both as a company function and personally. It was always a great experience.
But this time the entire visit was a disaster. There were only 7 tables occupied and it took 17 minutes for a waitress to come to our table. We ordered 3 entrees and 2 served were not what we ordered and the fish on the wrong entrees was served cold. We ordered a child's chicken meal and they brought shrimp. We asked for lattes at the end of the meal and were told they didn't serve them ... we had to show the waitress they were on the menu.
I had to ask twice to speak to the manager ... he offered a free desert but did not offer to fix the wrong meals. Then charged us full price ($45-$50) for entrees that were inedible.
Overall a very disappointing experience.

Excellent place to enjoy a the company of family surrounded by great food and wine. The overall customer service was EXCELLENT!! - Customers comes first. The staff provided tips and kept us on time not to miss our after dinner plans. Great place for any special occasion
