I always enjoy my time at Artisans. The staff is very attentive, the open kitchen is fantastic and having Chef buzzing around makes the whole experience special, to say nothing of the great foods.
Fabulous atmosphere, very chic. Excellent food and service
We are from NY and ate here on the last night of a long road trip through Texas and Arizona. This was one of the best meals we had on the trip! Food was delicious and nicely presented. Staff was attentive and accommodating to our dietary restrictions. We would highly recommend dining here.
Great service, Amazing food, and lovely surroundings. A great place for a special dinner with special people.
One of the best meals of my life.
Great as always!
We had a most enjoyable evening. We sat at the chef's bar and had the tasting menu which was outstanding! The wine pairing was excellent! The service was impeccable. We're already planning another visit.
While we have been here several times and loved it, we had some difficulty this time. The sauce on the lamb was very pungent, the one who ordered it ended up scraping it off and eating around the sauce. Another in our party did not like the wild boar. The waitress as wonderful about it, handled it with class.
Excellent, as usual! Best French restaurant in Houston
Amazing ambience, food, and staff. Highly recommend for anniversary or a great romantic date night.
Delicious! Highly recommend the chicken and lobster tail with risotto. The Chilean sea bass was also very good. Service was excellent. Great meal overall!
Not our first visit, and it won't be our last. Every dish was full of delicious flavors. One of my favorite restaurants in Houston, even though our tab was on the higher side for just two people.
Excellent food. Some dishes were a little pricey, however overall it was excellent. Need better knives.
We all had the six-course menu with wine pairing. Everything was OUTSTANDING. This restaurant always excels in everything.
We did the 6 course tasting with the wine pairing. Every course was absolutely wonderful, with the foi gras and the scallop dishes standing out the most. The wine pairing was absolutely excellent with only one of the wines being good and the rest fantastic. This may been a higher dining experience but the setting is a little more casual. Only gripe was the table behind us was absolutely obnoxious.
I have been several times and keep going back for lunch, dinner and special occasions. Every item I have ever had from the menu exceeds the highest expectations. The food is absolutely as good as any you have tasted. The atmosphere is beautiful. The wait staff is excellent.
When we arrived, we were told there was only seating at the bar or high tables - after protesting, we were seated at a bench table. The seating on the bench side was very soft , uncomfortable and full of pillows. The food was not quality for the price and my husband was dismissed by the waitress when he asked why the wild boar was so tough.
This was our first time to visit Artisans and we could not have enjoyed it more. Food, Service, ambiance was all outstanding. Can not wait to return.
Fantastic food and service. Chilean sea bass was awesome. Definitely will be back.
Really love going here. Beautiful food, beautiful place.
The food was wonderful as usual. Although, this restaurant is known for its French cuisine; the steaks or wonderful as well.
Great atmosphere. Great Service. Best food we've had in a long time.
Excellent food and great service. Food was cooked perfect and would go back for dinner anytime.
Overall was ok but didnt enjoy the fact that our stake was sweet and next table to us was a half foot away , felt like you cant have any private conversation. Service was ok too.
I had eaten at Artisans for lunch, but I had wanted to take my wife. She worked on Valentines, so this was our Valentines date. Artisans has tables, and also has a unique U-shaped bar that extends around the kitchen, which is right in front of you. You get to see the kitchen dynamics, and watch your meal from start to finish. We were seated near the dessert chef, and it was amazing watching her in action. Watching your meal come together, than delivered, adds to the experience.
First of all, the great at Artisans is exceptional. My wife loves bread, and she so enjoyed the loaf. We ordered the scallops appetizer, which is served with the Lobster Cappuchino Wow. You must try it. My wife had the short ribs, served with the purple mashed potatoes with duck fat. I enjoyed a special, traditional Beef Wellington, with seared fois gras. It was great. We enjoyed drinks, wine, and the desserts are just great. The service is exceptional. The owner, Jacques came by to visit, and we enjoyed his hospitality and warmth. It was a fantastic restaurant experience, and my wife declared Artisans to be her new favorite.
Artisans is my favorite "go to" downtown restaurant. The food is delicious and beautiful. I love watching the kitchen staff work - it's choreography.
Fantastic food and service. Very friendly staff.
Overall good dining experience
We had a nice quiet table for 2 in the front room. Great wine list. The St. Emilion Bordeaux was outstanding and priced very fairly. Very attentive and polite staff. Food was excellent. Authentic bouillabaisse. We will go back.
Awesome french food, super fresh ingredients, seasonal menu
Ordered the 3-course business meal. The salads were nice and fresh. Loved the canoed bacon! Both the beef tenderloin and the Chilean Sea Bass w Risotto mains were wonderful -properly cooked and flavorful! The strawberry mouse cakes for dessert were just right. Light enough to not wait you down, yet rich enough to satisfy the sweet tooth! Great value at $29!!
Probably the best dining experience that I've had. Period!!!!
This is by far my favorite tasting menu in town. The wine pairings were perfect and complemented the food. The experience of the open kitchen brings another layer to the experience and the food was creative but filling
I ordered the Caviar Plate on the menu and was told later, they didn't have any Caviar tonight.
Very disappointed, as that was all I wanted, so I had a bite or two off my husband's plate. If Caviar isn't ordered enough to keep it on hand, take it off of the menu.
Love the place !!!
Celebrated Birthday and an anniversary and Artisan’s made it very special! Food and service was excellent.
Magnificent meal, impeccable service. This was our 20th anniversary, and we wanted to do something special. We could not have picked a better dining experience. The food was superb. The waitstaff was attentive to our needs. Everything was perfect.
Only positive things to say. Authentic food, good service, great atmosphere for a nice date night with my wife. Will be one of our favorite places from here out.
Simply wonderful. Great food, atmosphere and service!
