The owners of Artisans Restaurant have created a place unlike any other. The vast working kitchen is in the middle of the restaurant, with views from every seat in the building. The culinary team works like an orchestra, where their composer is the owner/executive chef and they work in unison to create art for their audience consistently while paying attention to every detail.

The Sea Bass was to die for! Cheese plate and food grad fell a bit short but overall a very pleasant experience and we will visit again!
The food was delicious. My only complaint was the restaurant was a bit warm that day. But the service was fantastic. I will definitely be back to try the multiple course tasting menu!
Had the six and seven course tasting menus plus wine pairings. Amazing.
Phenomenal food! Wonder waiter Raphael. Can’t wait to return.
Fantastic experience. Great food with atmosphere. We sat at the chef’s table (aka bar) and it was so cool to watch them prepare the gourmet food.
Fabulous food and fabulous environment. Highly recommend for business meeting or romantic date with significant other.
I had two friends from outside the United States come to Houston for a business dinner. From the moment we met at the restaurant, the waiter, who looked like he was potentially a manager or host normally, with a trainee waitress at his side, Was impatient and dismissive of our needs. First after a short 5 minute conversation with my business guest, he put pressure on us to order for dinner starting at 6:45 PM. I had to ask him to leave to give us 10 minutes after catching up on business to review the menu. Then when I asked about the specials of the day, he simply said “we don’t have any including a fresh catch because we sold out this week and you’re too late“ then I proceeded to order the fish on the menu. He informed me that was not available because they didn’t stock up on enough supplies of pasta to go with that dish. Now mind you they were only about eight entrée options so there went 2…. I ordered an appetizer of some soup, my guest from Mexico asked if he could have a small cup of the same soup instead of a bowl. The waiter said absolutely not. And my soup came it was a very small amount of soup in a large bowl probably about one cup worth could’ve been poured in a coffee cup. After our meal, I wanted to conversation to linger since I was doing business but it was clear the waiter was not interested in our staying, despite three or four other tables. Look like he was trying to rush everyone out at 9 o’clock an hour before the opening. So I asked for a dessert menu and if we could get some decaffeinated coffee. His response, “we just threw out the last part of decaf coffee if you want I’ll go check“ so to summarize, the service was terrible, the price was high, I will never go back there for another business dinner. He was very attentive once he brought the check coming back every three or four minutes to keep seeing if there was a credit card placed on it so that he could get us out of there.
Chef Fox personally greeted us at our table several times during the meal, which was a surprise and a treat! The waitstaff were so friendly and kind — our waiter Brian was excellent — and the food was delicious. We will come again!
Great food. Great service. Overall great dining experience.
Amazing dining experience with gastronomic 6 and 7 Course WOW Menu. Every course was like a fantastic culinary tour across our beautiful planet. Professionalism and special care of outstanding garson and manager are so admirable 🌺💜
Phenomenal service by Gregory. I had my birthday dinner in the private wood carved room and it was beautiful. The food was delicious, and the presentation of each plate outstanding. Immaculate from start to finish. Such a pleasant experience.
Superó nuestras expectativas, el servicio y la comida al más alto nivel. Gregory la mayor atracción del lugar. Muy recomendado!
Amazing experience and service
Fabulous 6 course dinner with wine pairings! Excellent service also! Live music was a bonus! Loved everything!
Food was fantastic, it was above our expectations
Lovely setting. WONDERFUL food. Unparalleled attention to detail in service & presentation. It’s clear Chef Jacques and his team are dedicated to diners having a great experience. Thank you!
We went on a Tuesday night, so not many people and not much noise. Food and wine pairing we great.
Gregory is such a professional and so kind and attentive!!! He is a great asset to your restaurant!!
Fantastic food. Got the foi gras, wild mushroom rissoto and lobster bisque. Melts in your mouth!
Took my wife to Artisans for a romantic dinner to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Everything came out to perfection starting out with our drinks, appetizers, and our main course. My wife had the Chilean sea bass and I the Gulf red snapper. The dessert was the finishing touch to a great evening.
Great food and great ambiance, perfect for a special occasion. Sat at the kitchen bar to watch all of the cooking action. Seating was appropriately distanced.
All of the staff were incredibly friendly and the dessert was personalized to celebrate the birthday in our party. Definitely recommend!
Such a wonderful experience. My top 5 in Houston. A must.
We ordered the six course menu and it was phenomenal!
Fantastic across the board. Tianna Hall/Houston Jazz Band provided a fantastic performance, heard Chef talking about a new staff with autism working there with nothing but praise and Chef/server accommodated significant food allergy. Definitely will go again. Artisans is a great place and also promoting positive changes around disabilites.
Loved this restaurant, the atmosphere was romantic and the food was delicious! It was our 1st wedding anniversary and we had a wonderful time at Artisans!
Excellent food very nice restaurant
Wonderful meal with great service! Fantastic lunch!!
The food and service are excellent! The Fois Gras is simply divine - best I’ve had! The Sea Bass is a special treat and the desserts are always delicious. I highly recommend Artisans for a date, special occasion or simply lunch or dinner out. If on a date, the long chef’s counter is fun for entertainment and a visual treat of watching the food being prepared.
We had a table for six for a graduation celebration. The food was exceptional - especially the lobster bisque and the scallops - and the service was attentive. But there was an excessive wait between the appetizers and the main course, probably close to an hour. This turned the dinner into a three hour affair - disappointing given that the restaurant had unilaterally changed our reservation from 6.45 to 7.30 (presumably to better manage the flow of orders to the kitchen). It meant that the two members of our party who did not order an appetizer had nothing to eat until past 9pm.
So, much though I enjoyed the food, ambiance and the decor, I cannot echo the praise that others have given this restaurant. I am left with the feeling that priority was given to the larger private parties that were dining at the same time.
We had a great Mother’s Day brunch with good music and great food. Our server, Rafael was outstanding. So entertaining with lots of stories and history of our fav champagne. Artisans is always on our choice list.
Nice atmosphere! Food (set menu) was good and I will definitely return to taste their regular menu. Easy parking, which is always a plus.
Great scenery, calm and collective environment, and a great romantic place to take your significant other on a charming/meaningful date.
Food and service was Mediocre
Really good food, service not so polished but attentive and good overall. Eclectic but charming ambiance and conducive to an intimate evening. Could use more valets.
Great vibe and great location! Very lively front and dining area with a modest and chill ball room area. Waiter was nice and cheerful as well as helpful with the menu. Only gripe is the menu felt overwhelming. If you're used to a structured menu, this might not be it. Would love to geaux again!
We sat at the Chef’s table overlooking the kitchen. Everything was great!
Celebrated my birthday there. Had the tasting menu. Every course was wonderful! The lobster bisque and the foie gras are must tries. But then, so are the scallop, the pistachio crusted sea bass and the steak. Delicious!!!
Business celebration meal. Thanks!
My fiancé and I love Artisans! The food is prepared beautifully and with an array of flavors. Well worth the price, specially if you get the 6 or 7 course tasting. The service staff is very attentive and knowledgeable. I also enjoy the comfy atmosphere that has been created with the lighting, candles, and cushioned seats.
